Hey Guys! I've been absent from DCS a while and since the latest updates, it looks like im not able anymore to adjust my views. earlier i had 4x27" T-shaped monitors with Helios. Due to the lack of helios-gauges and exports for the other models, i now use the touchscreen to show original DCS-cockpit instead of the helios-cockpit... so far so good. but now, after installing DCS new, it looks like im not able to set a proper field of view. Did some files change their location? My Problem is the following: This is my monitorassembly when i start for example the A10, it looks like this (fishbowl): but i would like to have it like this: i hope you know what i mean, im not good in graphics and painting ;-) i wish you a nice weekend, i hope i can fly it with proper view soon. thanks!

Just found this thread... That would be awsome, having a real-time movingmap on the android-tablet. i had such for x-plane which used google maps. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moblisoft.xplane&hl=de) any news on this? I found this iDisplay (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.idisplay.virtualscreen&hl=de) in the Playstore (€ 3,49) with which you could use the tablet as additional monitor over wlan -> see this video: . anyone tried this already? so we just have to find a way to display the map on this "new screen"...

Hey guys! Could anyone explain me in easy steps how to reassign a button from the thrustmaster hotas stick to use it for vac (voice activated comand). This system allows only keyboard button combinations. So is it possible to change for example the paddleswitch fom the stick to lets say "V" for which activates my ptt for vac? I beleive it should be possible in this t.a.r.g.e.t software, but I have no clue and I want my other buttons stay the same (standard), so I do not have to change all of them. Any help is appreciated :helpsmilie:

Guys, a quick question... I ordered the DK2 and im very excited. I'm running on XFX 7970 black edition. I read that DK1 only runs fine with Nvidia cards... Has someone an idea if this still could be a problem for me and I should buy an Nvidia card instead of my 7970? Or are any there rumours that this will be no problem? Thanks!

ok... disregard! i just put the original files back from my updated server-pc and just launched it as is... guess what, its working. so far... so maybe with the new updater our "special files" are not getting overwritten? :thumbup:

Question - after update Copy old _backup.xy problem? Hey guys, Just updated to 1.2.7. Then I copied back my "_update.007" files like always before (Bazar, Config, Mods, Scripts) but then DCS didnt start again. I tried to find a repair-button, but no luck. Now installing new. But how about all my tweaked files for my home-pit? Do I have to set up all new??? :helpsmilie:

Yes, you can easily position you kneeboard on every monitor you like. I did this, it's easy. Just copy all those files like described in the read me file and then change your monitor lua...

Hi, i found a solution. It's one of peterP's wonderful mods. It's an updated version (I think he calls it a beta), but I don't have the link right now. Search for "kneeboard position" and you will find it.

tricky solution found: (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=111803&page=2) before starting the game i start the taskmanager. the window from the taskmanager should be on a monitor which is not actually used by the game, in my case the helios-monitor. then i start the game. when im in, i right-click on the active DCS process-> "minimize" and then "maximize". then i can close the taskmanager and everything works fine. SP and MP. its just like Alt+Tab. But this trick is also possible with SoftTH!! ...yayyy

Hi! as above... where/how do i change the position of the kneeboard sheets? i installed new, but now my kneeboard is anywhere. once i had a mod, but i read somwhere in 1.2.6 its not working anymore? thanks for help!

Update: Kleiner Erfolg - ich starte jetzt vor dem Spiel (egal ob sp oder mp) den taskmanager, das Fenster dazu ist auf meinem Helios-Bildschirm, und sobald ich einmal im Spiel drinnen bin, rechtsklicke ich im taskmanager auf den laufenden DCS prozess -> "minimieren" und gleich darauf wieder "maximieren". Ist quasi das selbe wie Alt+Tab, dies funktioniert jedoch mit SoftTh nicht. Danach schliesse ich den taskmanager wieder und alles ist in Butter... Zwar keine Ideallösung, aber es hilft und dauert nur 3 Sekunden. LG

Hallo Leute! Hier eine eher Computertechnische Frage (Im englischen Teil des Forums konnte mir nicht wirklich geholfen werden, da es mir an der Problembeschreibung etwas haperte...) Also: Kurz zum Verständnis, ich habe ein kl. Cockpit gebastelt mit 3x27", darunter 1x23" für Helios und noch 5 kleinen usb-touchscreens. -> siehe Bild. Dieses Setup läuft/lief auch alles perfekt bis zum 1.2.5er Update. Um meine 3 grossen Monitore im Portrait-Landcsape-Portrait (hoch-breit-hoch) zu betreiben benutze ich auch SoftTh. So, nun zu meinem Problem: Wie gesagt, seit dem Update kann ich auf dem Hauptbildschirm in der Mitte nichts mehr direkt anklicken, sprich irgendwelche Schalter bedienen oder das Spiel verlassen oder was auch immer. Ich habe herausgefunden, dass wenn ich zB. rechts unten am Bildschirm klicke es in etwa auf der Mitte des Bildschirms "ausgeführt" wird. Als Beispiel klicke ich rechts unten am Monitor und das mittlere T-Pull Handle der A10 wird aktiviert... Mit diesem Trick kann ich auch das Spiel verlassen, nachdem ich ESC gedrückt habe muss ich irgendwo rechts unten im Eck solange die richtige Position suchen bis "Verlassen" blau hinterlegt ist und dann kann ich das Spiel verlassen... Das ist soo lähmend. Weiters, wenn ich im Hintergrund ein Fenster offen habe, klicke ich dort auch ungewollt herum. Witzigerweise nur auf dem Hauptbildschirm, also nicht auf den anderen, da funktioniert alles wie gehabt. Ich habe gelesen dass mit Alt+Tab einmal raus und wieder rein das Problem gelöst sein sollte... ist aber nicht möglich durch die Verwendung von SoftTh, da geht das nicht. Zufällig habe ich auch herausgefunden, dass wenn ich das Spiel starte und kurz bevor es lädt, ich einfach meine Win-Taskleiste (die nicht fixiert ist) über den Hauptmonitor ziehe auf einen anderen Monitor, dann klappt es manchmal wieder. Funktioniert aber nur im Singleplayer, nicht im MP, den ich fast ausschliesslich benutze :-( Es ist einfach nicht möglich irgendwelche systeme im Cockpit zu bedienen/klicken... Vielleicht hat ja irgendein PC-Profi eine Idee?? Ich bin Ratlos... Immer diese doofen Updates die teilweise nicht nur Verbesserungen bringen. Hier noch kurz mein System: Win7 Ultimate x64, i7@3,6 12 GB RAM XFX Radeon 7970 Black ed. neuste Treiber (mit allen aktuellen ausprobiert - hilft nix) Samsung SSD 840Pro BITTE um Hilfe! :helpsmilie: Bei Fragen, jederzeit...

For me the new Driver (13.10b) is AMAZING!!! (7970 Black edition) i have only some white flickering when fly-by view (F3) is close or i zoom in in the other views... when this gets solved, its the best i've ever had! :thumbup:

yes, you need all of the in one folder. 4x .bin + 1x .exe or you could download via torrent. i think this is faster and easier. thereafter click on the exe and youre good. then install your module. (installer normally knows where to put files) then copy your serial, start a mission and paste serial if asked for it. thats all... :thumbup:

For now I have a dirty solution. I make my win-taskbar movable, before starting the game, I put it on one of my sidemonitors, in game I must move it across my mainscreen and then I put it on my helios-monitor. Then it works... After gaming I put taskbar back to mainscreen. Thats it. Not Happy with it, but works so far...
