  3. I'm not exactly a guru in aerodynamics myself. But i found p51 cl-max freeflow value of 1.28 (no flaps) And for d9 yoyo posted a value of 1.35. And my opinion is for the same wing loading there'a a really low chance a laminar flow wing can produce more lift than a regular one. But like i said i'm no expert.
  4. I have chronic health problems and really strugled to do this tests but i neded to take my mind off more serious things. My dcs version is older (1.5.6.5199) because like i said i have bigger problems.+no internet connection since a while now( just my phone has connection) . Still i was curious to find out what's what. I used : P51-- 67% fuel to get wing loading of 198.076 190-- 6% fuel , mw50 tank empty , 0% ammo to get a wing loading of 197.97 Low alt ( 300m speed 500 km/h at start) sustained turn at default throttle , no flaps for both planes, default trim settings. The result was p51 turned better even if wing loading was the same. In my humble opinion it should be the other way around because of the p51 laminar flow wing. I will post track files if asked but it's an older version so i'm expecting for someone to maybe prove or disprove my finding by flying this weight settings. Yes no g version but what if the g version is heavier and has less horsepower and is less aerodynamically refined as the d9 ?

  6. I told him that because he wrote in another post the 777 devs built a better fm for the 109 .So you can't have it both ways.
  7. The devs of the new il2 at777 also found a value between 1.3 and 1.4 to be the most accurate.Just like Yoyo.That'a big coincidence. Can you post a link to those tests you talk ? They seem interesting .

  10. I used to have a reference card a long time ago and it was noisy. Now i have a aorus 1080ti xtreme and it's a lot more quiet . Depends if you want to pay the extra money.

  12. Writing from mobile. I have an aorus 1080 ti extreme watercooled.i would really prefer to buy an aircooled 1080 ti for sli(the watercooled one i have + another one aircooled ). To make 2xcards sli work do the two cards have to be identical to the last detail? Or can i buy a 1080 ti from assus and it will work with my aorus perfectly in sli ? Thanks for help .
  13. I don't know whether to swing to one side or the other. I play very very little now but: - The Russian R27er missiles are decent now in killing an ai plane .In dcs 1.2.4 i couldn't hit an ai plane head on from 3 shots , twice in a row. -If Cm are so effective than in a head on, if the f15 drops cm at a certain interval and has enough of them it's theoretically impossible to get killed and that might be a way to defeat the game and theoretically be invulnerable in a head on no matter what.But i really don't know .I don't have the playtime to say for sure.

    SPEEDTEST 2 I wasn't thinking on doing another one but what the hell it was fun: 4sjx2H30f0M 109 is trimmed,The p51 isn't but even so the p51 is faster by 10-14 km/h. Also I've flown the p51 last and my hand was tired. Conditions DCS default, no wind.TAS ,IAS will not make the 109 faster.

    Look this will be my last response because i have better things to do.The 109k in this sim has a lot more torque than any other sim and you have to counter that constantly the p51 doesn't and is much more stable(Oh my god the p51 actually has an advantage over the 109 :D).No laminar flow means more turbulence and the list goes on. I would say it will take some exponentially better flying to get within 10km/h of the p51's top speed in my video with the 109 but if someone can do it and post a new better test that's great :thumbup:. I would say it pretty much not logical to presume the 109 to be faster because of the reasons i mentioned in my early posts but if someone manages to make a track or video of that than more power to him.

    The p51 is faster.It is really obvious why: two planes with the same horsepower but one has laminar flow wing.You don't have to be Einstein. p2oHFITX-Og At first the 109 accelerates better from the lower speed but than the speed difference is about 20 km/h in favor of the P51. I've also flown the p51 until the engine blew and it took some stupid flying to do that.It's in the track. Feel free to make your own test but like i said : Unless there's a bug there's no way a plane with laminar flow wing will be slower than one without considering both planes have same horsepower. 109speed-sea-level-1-1.trk p51speed-sea-level-1-2.trk speed-test-109-2.miz speed-test-51-2.miz

    You could make a mission in dcs .Set a 109 at 500 start altitude and try to fly as fast as you can for 30 seconds - 1 minute.Do the same in p51. Than post the tracks from the game here. You might be right but it doesn't make sense because the p51 should have less drag than the 109 because of the laminar flow wing and both planes have about the same horsepower.Maybe it's a bug .

    You're right.He doesn't even play the Mp missions, doesn't own the german planes ,doesn't watch videos of the game , doesn't read the full post. I don't know what he's doing here :lol:. Also : First asking for documentation .Accusing someone of making assumptions. Then he's "documentation " is an assumption.

    I can think of a few other advantages but that doesn't really matter because i've seen fw A pilots get 10 to one kill ratios vs planes from 45 like tempest spit XIV... I think that when more aircraft make their way into the game there will be more variation and things will improve.A scenario from 1944 where it's possible one side has an advantage and than a scenario from 1945 where the other side has and advantage.

You write these two consecutive conclusions about my video so let's see : first you say my video shows a 109k without mw50 is better than 67" p51 because i can win with it. than you say better pilots can win with a bad aircraft vs a better one.So it's possible i win because I'm a better pilot with an inferiour plane. so yea you're contradicting yourself. There is also : This is another contradiction. Even a thousand videos of fighter x shooting down fighter Y..is not actually evidence of fighter x is better. But then in the first paragraph you seem to think it is evidence and that: the fact that even a gimped 109 is able to take out P-51s ...... even a weak example of 109K is stronger than a 67" P51. Also from one day to the next: 04-17-2017 weak meaning no MW50 in this case. 04-18-2017: Anyway. Let's agree to disagree ,shake hands and move on .
