same issue for me. Get a kind of micro stutter when close to trees on hillsides. FPS doesn't really drop below 40 tho. Dropping shadow detail does help but doesn't eliminate it completely. Current specs: i7 4770k, 16GB RAM, SSD for DCS, GTX 780 Ti.

Mode switch I know this is probably a silly question but have you made sure your stick is in the correct mode (1 to 3) ?

Have you checked the install in the mods manager or failing that, have you tried refreshing the activations. I think its done by starting the game and keeping ctrl pressed as it loads up. If nothing else you can see if the activations are active. Worth looking at I guess. -

Tooooo good!... hurry up and make it perfect :D I've got a bit of a problem with 1.5... Many features are not yet working as they do in the release version and the scripting engine is a bit broken. This means I can't fly my favourite missions or do some of my favourite things as I can in the previous version. Thing is tho, its too good!. Graphics are beautiful and the sensation of flight is stunning. I'm missing many of the features of the previous release but I just can't go back after seeing 1.5. I think I'm in some kind of DCS limbo :huh: Anyway, can't wait till some of the bugs get ironed out... its shaping up to be a masterpiece :thumbup:

I think I am confirming Mav's findings here... I've found that once a new mission has been recognised and can be seen by the MP list, the mission can then be changed to an older on once clients are joined. The server becomes invisible in the list again but the older mission stays up and can be rejoined via connect by IP. Does this indicate that its simply a problem with the way the MP list detects missions? Is there anything in the missions themselves which denotes which version it was created in. Maybe it could be changed from within 7zip or something similar?.. just trying to think of a workaround. -

Does anybody have any idea what unit type name is recognised by MiST / mission editor. I'm trying to ues MiST to send messages to the Mi8 but they don't seem to be recognised. I've tried using "Mi8-MTV2" and "MT2" as I've seen suggested elsewhere but so far no joy :(

I've also had the in-game advice tell me to open this valve twice. On both occasions, I was landing after being damaged and was attempting to apply brakes. Since then, like you, I've been working on the assumption it is for refilling the pneumatic reservoir for brakes etc rather than for envorinmental / cockpit reasons. I would also be interested to know the function of air net valve. -
Latest Su-27 open beta pfm I'm finding the open beta version of the Su-27 a real joy to fly. As far as I can tell, many of those strange little behaviours seem to have gone away.

Have you tried editing your network.cfg in your saved games/dcs world/ config folder?. You can manually enter specific values for upload / download speed. I think its the upload speed that is most important. -

Just wondering, as a temporary solution to the visibility problems for MiG-15 and Sabre, would an option to have slightly exaggerated smoke for both aircraft help make dog fights easier to get into?

pre-load radius Have you tried increasing the pre-load radius?. Asking because I have a vague memory that the lower it is, the more often the system has to access the disk thereby causing stutters. The more preload the better (up to the limitations of your RAM) as far as I can recall. (I could be having a false memory tho') Also, I seem to remember that, at one point, many ppl found that medium shadows either made no difference or gave a better fps than low ones. Finally, there were some "low.lua" files which can be downloaded from the user files sections. These can be really useful If your system isn't cutting it. Alternatively, you could find and edit those files yourself, (just remember to make a back up of the original!)

The Korean era aircraft seem very popular now that we have both the Sabre and the Mig-15. We also have the P51 but unfortunately no counter-part for the USSR / North Korea. Similarly, we have no other aircraft to fulfil other roles for either side and so mission building is presently quite restricted. I was just wondering if it would make sense for WW2 aircraft ,(such as the B-29 for example), which also flew over Korea to have some sort of priority in development? I only ask because it would be a case of killing 2 birds with 1 stone... WW2 = ppl happy, Korean war = ppl happy and developers = happy because appeal to twice the potential customers QED :music_whistling:.

Not MiG issue this appears to be a problem with the ships themselves. Client ctd's happen when they open fire. reported by Sven in the relevant area of the forum.

Since the latest update I've found that ground troops will no longer spawn from the carrier vehicle. The message that the troops have been dropped still comes up but no troops appear. Anybody noticed the same?.. anybody know a work around?:helpsmilie:

not just rim I don't think this is just Rim btw... Molinya will cause same when opening fire with guns. -
worse than I tought. Sometimes this appears to crash the server but if it doesn't, it seems to disconnect all clients. server track to follow... serverlogs.rar

fixed already! thought it was fixed but it still happens. Just not every time now.
