^^well the devs often already didnt mention some obvious and also important or also very welcome changes in their changelogs in the past.or announced them in the changelogs, while it wasnt included in the patch at all....see windshield damage of the 190 for example...btw, thats a really nice effect, and all ww2 planes should have that for the sake of consistency. -

you can do that, if you make sure that you put the files in the correct folders...however, this will be a pain in the a.., as you will have to do this everytime after a dcs patch....so i really recommend using JSGME.its very convinient to just make 1click and thats it. EDIT: i say spend the few minutes of your life to get JSGME running, and you will safe lots of time and trouble later. -

 i know how you feel.im in the same boat.maybe its really placebo, maybe they changed something...but if they did, then i really cannot see why they didnt find it necessary to give us notice in the changelog. -
ah ok,...never noticed that before offline...i guess its the same like the disappearing sun bug which is there ever since...textures not loading properly anymore.ah well, EDGE will fix it im sure

dont know exactly what you mean with cant be together.if you want to join the server, it should still work even with diveplane's soundmods...it is important though, that you enable our modpack after all your other mods...that goes for all mods and not only the soundmods! and to your question why i changed the sounds...the incockpit flyby sounds are anything but realistic.it hurts to have dcs, the most realistic flight sim, and then have those arcadish sounds.its a cheat and affects online play in a bad way. so i made sure that one cant hear that anymore when you yourself are running with full power settings.thats it.i didnt touch any soundfiles.its still the stock sounds, and if you wish to use a mod, you should be able to. -

haha awesome mate! -
ok, thx to golani we became aware of a bug, and how to reproduce it. if on the server the free camera F11 view is enabled, and you hit Left Ctrl+F11 twice, and then jump back into your cockpit with F1, then the clouds(if there are any in the mission) will all of a sudden either completely or at least partially disappear.

if you do a "clean canopy" mod for the 109, we will implement it in our modpack, and then it will pass the integrity check!if you can do it, then please do! -

forget about the two posts above: ok...finally. i managed to get rid off flyby sounds if engine is running properly...if on idle though or dead engine, you can slightly hear outside sounds, i.e. otherplanes... you will not be able to exploit the audio sliders to get the flyby sounds back though :) yet it is beta, but we are getting closer to a release candidate i think...so try it offline for now!enjoy -

^^ok, i found a solution for the audios...sounds are now completely similar to stock sounds, and also soundmods will be usable for you guys if you wish so.only important thing in this case is, that you activate the acg modpack after the soundmod of your choice. volumes are now the same, and sounds are identical, only thing, once the canopy is closed, you will not hear outside sounds anymore.(a compromise we can live with i think in competetive online play) -

ok guys...this is the current beta 1.1modpack... i release it, as i want your opinions.the aim is to make the server fun and equal conditions for everybody...so i definitely do not want to force any sounds on anybody.i personally think its nice that i got rid off the flyby sounds, but it affects the sounds in general.although i only tweaked the sound volumes, it sounds different now. so...at first it will definitely sound strange i guess.i say give it a try for a little while and then give me feedback....if its bad feedback, i will take this out of the mod and we will keep hearing flybys...keep in mind, i tweaked the sounds, so that it should be impossible for people to hear flyby sounds once they are in the air themselves...so, in order to have "correct" sounds, you are supposed to put both the "IN-COCKPIT" and the "HELMET" slider in the dcs audio options to 0%.otherwise, the cockpitsounds are too loud and you wont even hear external sounds with a shut down engine...also, in genereal the sounds will be little louder, so you might want to reduce the overall volume of dcs through windows. also keep in mind, modpack1.1 will not yet work on the server. EDIT: look two posts below!
