  2. features in the upcoming -=ACG WW2 1.1=- Modpack: further tuned LODs audios(no arcade flyby sounds anymore)i didnt touch the sounds themselves.its still all Eagle Dynamics sounds. gunsmoke bubbles bye bye
  3. dont exactly know what you mean with more "definition at distance".if you just mean that you would like to see the contacts more obvious at higher distances...well, i could do that, but then i think it really would be too arcady i guess...but more important, i fear that the lod switches would be too obvious. in regards of ED...i assume that we will see differences with edge and spotting contacts.thats my hope at least, and as soon as the spotting is acceptable, my lod adjustments will be taken out of our modpack. i really hope that one day, the zoom function will be obsolete, and only necessary for things like adjusting the pressure on the altimeter i.e. as the mission building process is pretty much a 1man show(except for Bounder who makes the briefings!), i have decided to only update this mission and make changes to it...the reason for that is,that hopefully soon EDGE and new maps are out :lol: :megalol: i think that once this happens, we will face problems with old missions, but also the question is, who then wants to fly on the old map?so we will soon have to create missions on new maps. but i will keep updating and improving the current mission.also, there are 50+ tanks to destroy for the p51s if they wish so, +several flak batteries which can be disabled for both sides.so there are ground targets already implemented. but, it also shouldnt be a problem to put a few more ground targets into the mission.
  4. the tracer round are exactly the same, except that it has a tracer.nothing less or nothing more effective. if the km108 didnt have such ballistics, you could use the tracers of the 131 mgs as a reference.but as it is, they are not helpfull at all as you will fall short with your cannon if you hit with your mgs.
  5. tracerless option is there if you adjust one line in one file...unfortunately, it doesnt help frames one bit....
  6. nice to see that you guys enjoy the mod... @snowsniper, orange texture means missing texture...so there is something wrong with your installation of the mod i assume.if installed correctly, you shouldnt have that problem.or there is something else wrong with your dcs installation. @invisibull, great you enjoyed it,...yeah i can do something for the f86 and mig15 as well.but will do it seperately.give me a few days though, as i am currently working on modpack1.1. @twilightzone, nice you noticed a difference and like it!so it was worth the trouble we had at the beginning at least :) also, in modpack1.1 lods are a little more tuned, and it should even be better to spot contacts.not by much, but it is fine-tuned better. @everybody, modpack1.1 is already in the works, and i think, that most will enjoy it very much....i myself am pretty surprised in a positive way with the current results.
  7. anybody knows which file/s is/are responsible for the sounds of the surrounding world,...i.e. flyby sounds of other aircraft?would be really interested in that.would be interested to tweak the volumes of that, as it is laughable how clearly one can hear other aircraft flying by, or behind you when you yourself sit behind a 2000hp engine...thx in advance.

  9. ^^the longer it is in beta the better for us tbh, as we can expect improvements on a more regular pace. ask yourself: what would be better when the devs told us today that it is out of beta?

  14. i restarted the server, and you probably tried to connect when i was quitting it...i saw you on the server, sorry :) also for you JST, please try again, and see whether its working now.we will work this out for sure.

  16. well, then check whether you can see tracers from the cannon.if thats the case, then the mod itself is working. then there is another reason why you cant join the server.
  17. ^^depends on how you have setup jsgme.my guess is that you guys maybe forgot to tell jsgme where to execute it?
  18. if installed correctly you should have the following files in the following directories: DCS World/Bazar/World/Shapes: fightersimpleLOD.edm fightersimpleLOD2.edm DCS World/CoreMods/WWII Units/Shapes: fightersimpleLOD.edm fightersimpleLOD2.edm ^^if thats the case and you enabled the mod with jsgme, then also the rest of the files of the mod should be in the correct paths. also keep in mind that we are still running an integrity check...so possible other mods may prevent you from joining
  19. im not talking about the green tracers from the machine guns, but yellow tracers from the cannon. dont know, people are joining the server with no issue...so the mod itself is fine.i myself of course tested it before releasing it... also, make sure to not use the open beta installation! i had a guy today trying to join, but it didnt work until he used the "normal" dcs installation.
  20. very likely a wrong installation i guess.if you got the 109, fire the cannon and see whether you see tracers...
  21. yes given that you have installed jsgme correctly and that it executes the mods in the correct path... also make sure, that after downloading and extracting, that you only have 1folder called -=ACG WW2 1.0=- and within that not another one called the same way...(thats happening to me when i extract zip.files) ps:if you can join the server, than you have it installed correctly.

  23. yes for sure!thats why i made it puplic in the first place! :) keep in mind though, on other servers, which dont run an integrity check, this would be kind of a cheat as you then fly with a considerable advantage... also this can mean, that you may face problems to join other servers, as you fail their integrity check if enabled... my mod though, only affects the 3prop aircraft currently in dcs. so i really recommend to use jsgme.one click to enable/disable it.also we might come up with future versions, and then its also way more convinient to install the new version with jsgme.plus of course the patches...after every new patch, you will have to reinstall the mod.with jsgme, its 1click only though. :)
  24. btw, the modpack contains now adjusted lods which are different from my former LOD mod...the acg modpack should increase the distance fighters can be spotted by a good amount...based on your feedback i will further tune it... really interested how this will affect gameplay on our server.
  25. yes i have.but it really doesnt matter.i dont want to discredit diveplane as i know many like his mods.still i prefer the stocksounds for already said reasons...also im glad, that the sounds in the official 1.2.14 patch are better than they were in the beta-version.rpm are more pronounced again.
