  1. i second that...i think it was like almost 3years ago when i told some of my friends that im now switching to dcs and leaving the other sim, as i was really impressed by the fidelity of dcs, and that although i never really liked the p51 as a plane but loved the simulation of it in dcs.i told them back then that i see the day where ED will release a 109, as this would be the most awesome thing i could imagine.and here we are :) thx ED
  2. haha yeah, you really have to half way push the stick to not get into a instant stall on take off...also when spawning mid air the first thing you have to do is to trim fully forward
  3. yeah i know, Sith already reported it..still i thought maybe its helpfull to say that it happens when spawning in the air as well...cant hurt at least to mention it...though its strange.it happened to me 3times in a row that pretty much immediately after spawning mid air against the p51 the fuel pressure went down...after restarting the game though, and loading the mission again, it was fine again....
  4. love the take offs and landings in that plane!very well done sir Yo-Yo. i have to say, although takeoffs are really simple i think in the 109, if you are not paying attention it will bite you...as seen above, my very first take off, although not really solid, didnt cause me any trouble... then when thinking that its easy peasy, i didnt pay attention on my second take off, and immediately turned left off the runway...i managed it to get her up in the air, but then immediately left wing stalled and crashed :).
  5. ok, i dont know why, but today im getting that problem also in the dogfight mission when spawning in the air!that bug seems to get worse! fuelpressure.trk
  6. no just ordinary buttons.again, its just the efficiency or maybe the range which makes trimming pretty useless.just trim fully forward and it will more or less stay straight, still with a slight tendency to climb.
  7. just a quick heads up.the acg server is patched to the open beta version, and our POINT-BLANK mission is running.sorry it wasnt already ready yesterday but we encountered trouble with the WWII units mod...so for now, there is no mod running on the server..but at least we have the 109. also, as the confirmed "fuel pressure" bug affects cold started 109s, for now the Kurfürst spawns in the parking slots with a running engine.this prevents the bug. have fun! edit: i hope the above is true as i just noticed now in the quick dogfight mission against the p51 that i now suddenly lose fuel pressure there as well within a few seconds.that didnt happen to me yesterday.really strange
  8. ^^well for me the trim animation works properly.thats not the problem.its just that only with full forward trim the plane will somehow keep straight.but even then its very slightly pulling up..
  9. cool...can you give us feedback on this, whether you could reproduce it?whether its beeing looked at by the devs?thx in advance
  10. uploading my very first take off now...oh a ugly landing is included as well as i thought my engine is dying on me every second because of the fuel pressure going to 0....
  11. dont know, my little experience so far with it tells me that its a lovely bird to fly when its about its general behaviour in the air.
  12. ok, as its now available in beta, i think its time to speak about this again... it is nice that we can at least shoot flares, but i would love to see the flare gun removed out of the cockpit with a toggle function.its really covering some important gauges and also the emergency landing gear lever.besides, in the p51, while the socket of its flaregun is modeled as well, the actual flare gun isnt there... so please please please make the flare gun removable with a toggle function.
  13. ^^very possible as i didnt notice it in wags videos...i sure hope so!still a confirmation by the devs would be re-assuring and we could close this thread then
  14. first impressions so far...well from the usual beta bugs its definitely a lovely bird i think in future once the most glaring issues are fixed... i really like the overall handling of it.take off and landings are nice. what i really love in that bird so far is the rudder behaviour.flying on the ball is a joy with it! also, ill have to take a closer look at that today, but in the 109 other than in the 190(maybe thats improved now with that patch?) the afn2 gauge actually shows with a "red but not so red" signal light in the center that you just past a beacon, and even the default ones on the map! there are some annoying bugs with it, but i hope that the devs fix most of them until its out of beta, and i also really hope that also after that they dont forget about this bird. i think its a legend already.
  15. no its no mapping issue...i can see the trimwheel moving just fine...its just with fully nose down trim the plane still wants to slightly pull the nose up.
  16. just like with the 190 which has the same bug since release, unfortunately also the 109 has missing textures on the cowling in front of the canopy.you can see the engine :).
  17. ^^yeah its still controllable for me as well, but so far, my wings always broke at the wingtips, so plenty of wing left to give lift...i never complained about the p51 losing its wings, and neither for the 190...but with the 109 this is really suspicious.i just cannot believe the wings were that fragile.haha yeah its a paper plane.hope because its beta.
  18. only had the fun to kill AI for now, and as Bounder states, i was also able to kill it with 1cannon burst if hit correctly.
  19. yes, thats not the issue. also after my friends went "full throttle" as well, they all could replicate the issue.but as i said, if you spawn in the air, or already on runway with a running engine this problem doesnt occur.
  20. seems to be inefficient. even with fully nose down trim the plane wants to climb and you have to constantly fight that with the stick.(bug or was the elevator trim really that useless?)
  21. ok we came to a conclusion in this...it seems to be connected to cold start ups...otherwise this doesnt seem to happen...then as soon as you go full throttle you will lose fuel pressure, and once you throttle back, it will be back up...all my friends didnt notice as they never took off with full throttle it seems. spawning with running engine, in the take off mission seems no problem though, and also spawning mid air is no problem.
  22. this seems pretty random and not happen all the time at the same g's pulled, but the wings brake off even at 4g sometimes.they are very very fragile.also, as soon as this happens, the plane begins to burn on the rear fuselage for some reason
  23. ok, im now flying the 109 for a couple of hours already with my friends.and damn it, im the only one suffering from a strange problem...right after take off my fuel pressure goes down and the engine starts stuttering... start up procedure is ok though, checked several times and compared with my friends...this is only happening when i do a cold start...from the instant action take off mission this doesnt happen.also when im starting a mission with an air spawn i dont have trouble either... really frustrating as i just dont know what it is.
  24. ah well, i assume the first bug i noticed must be known by the devs...but still a bug section would make sense wouldnt it?
