Thanks Hueyman. The twisting is just a result of the crosssection parts modelling of the rotorblade. This will be corrected once I start texturing the exterior model.

I thought I read that this is the max size. I even checked out the A-10C, Huey and KA-50 textures. They're all 2048x2048 :book: Nevertheless, to me, 2048x2048 is ok. one must think of the people who doesn't have a high performance PC. You would have loading times till kingdom come.

I already have Beta testers so far :pilotfly:

Hi guys, recently I animated the pedals of my chopper with bones in 3ds max. After applying the skin modifier for the cover for acting with the pedal's animation, the coveranimation was gone after I converted it to an editable poly. Is there a "special" way to get this working ?

The best way creating Textures is Photoshop. Max texture size is 2048x2048.

kann ich nur bestätigen

No question, the rigid system will be implemented. Under the line, it is the easier task. Because the rotor ecliptic has all the time the same attitude as the helicopter body. That simplifies the calculation to a certain extend. Since we are still in the data collection phase, we cannot describe the exact details to that topic.

a / b: multiseat is planned. for example, when the Co-Pilot is killed you have to land first to switch over to the gunner seat. That is in my opinion realistic. The "sightline on" switch on the collectiv on the pilot's collective which gives the gunner control over the helicopter via the optic, is also reachable by the pilot sitting the gunner's seat:thumbup:. The AI thing is also an option. I have to think about it on how this can be done.

We're on it . Aged skins are a must be. it's an old one :smilewink:

Thanks, Flagrum . Just give us some time to get rid of the ToDo-Stuff - then we decide further steps on the offical stuff. :smilewink:

I hope I got you right but the DLL's I'm using are just for testing purpose. The Bo-105 DLL's will be developed seperately :)

UPDATE 15.11.2013 Things going well so far. I'm still busy getting additional photos on the BO-105 since the guys from Roth doesn't allow me to shoot/ record Photos/sounds for privat use (:censored:). State of work: Modelling to Does: - Rotorbrake - Board landing Light - Door grips Integration: - The Internal and external model is integrated in DCS World and flyable (with Black Shark Dll's). Thanks to my Squadronmate: JaBoG32_Butcher Sounds: - Diveplane did an outstanding job on the sound files and I can just recommend this guy. He know what he's doing. The sounds are (in my opinion) more than realistic. I've heard a lot sounds of the BO-105 but these are so close to the realisic that i was leaning back, closed my eyes and I had the feeling that I was sitting on the pilot's seat . Thanks Diveplane for your outstanding job. Next: - i'm moving on texturing the Centerpanel. In the last few days I was counting gauges jumping over fences when I was lying in my bed . That's why I moved on texturing the weapons-terminal which is 90 % done. Check the screens of my current state of work. Thanks for your patience :)

I agree with you. Keep your focus on making detailed parts which are catching one's eye. You can add screws when there are enough triangles left. :). You wouldn't recognize these screws because you will not get close enough with the camera. For the first step I would suggest Bump and/or Normalmaps. nevertheless I respect your work. Keep it up

Thanks for tip, Flagrum

I was so close...just simple sounds which are not allowed to spread over the public. When the press is in Roth the are allowed to record everything. This is where understanding is irreproducible to me ...
-
Ok guys ... so frustrating .... a few minutes ago a received a phonecall from Roth and they told me that I'm not allowed to record any sounds of the BO-105 because of my using it for privat :furious:. The pilot had a conversation with the S3 and he didn't agree ... So I keep my head up high and search further along for some sounds ....:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash: I just wrote an Email to the Fluggemeinschaft der Heeresflieger in Celle. Hope I get an positiv answer there.

Here's another small update on the Frontpanel. I thought I could finish it last week but I had a lot of work in my company :wallbash:
