  1. Dear Pilots, Tiny update :) Today I started texturing the external model. It's just rough and still WIP.
  2. Thanks everyone for the help...It looks a little better now
  3. You mean in the dds export settings ? or the material ? Here are my opacity settings.
  4. Hi DCS Pilots, I'm currently ripping my hair of 'cause I'm stuck with the glass reflections. I've exported my reflection (with my alpha channel) with DX5 Interpolated alpha from photoshop and defined my material (screen below). I've set the material to ED's "glass" but I got strange results because the whole glass is simply "white". I know how to make it work in 3ds Max but ED seems to have it's own way...not sure .... Can someone give me a hand ? greetings Olli
  5. Looking absolutly awesome ! Keep it up
  6. Wow - awesome. Thanks for this
  7. That's possible.
  8. Documents are mostly from the Internet.
  9. News on the first page has been updated :)
  10. No release date yet. I first finish the Gazelle's textures before I move on with the BO-105. Besides, I have to crosscheck with the department of defence what I can simulate or not. Otherwise I'll be send to jail for simulate stuff which is classified. That's the bis Problem with modern aircrafts in DCS. They are mostly classified.
  11. Yes - or simply exchange certain parts. But I then there will be a problem with the smoothing groups...we'll see :) The Gunner will have control of the helicopter as soon the Pilot presses and hold the "SIGHTLINE ON" Switch which is located on the lower side of the Collective. The helicopter moves with the rotation of the sight. You can only fire the HOT when the helicopter is under +/- 3° left/right of the target.
  12. I still have to figure out how to visualize the PAH and Civil version. All is modelled but I think I have to use two models. PAH and Civil differs -> 2 Roof windows, LRU shape on the rear left side isn't there. The civil version also have smaller Stabilizers because there is no Weapon Carrier which is interfering the flightbehaviour. I actually don't know how ED is doing that.... Kommt Zeit kommt Rat :)
  13. I'm still busy texturing the Gazelle-cockpit
  14. As far as I got you right :). DCS replaces the rotating blades with just a flat rotating plane(s) having a motion blurred texture ... up to a certain speed the propellers are set to invisible and the plane, I mentioned, to visible. Same for the helicopter's Tail and mainrotor. Actually the motionblur for objects is given but it's too performance consuming.
  15. Yes. Thank you :). I want to go a bit more prfessional. Btw. I already have these pictures...anyway..thanks :)
  16. Wow, thanks. I can't wait to get my hand on this bird
  17. Hi guys :) small progress. Today I reworked/textured the Frontdoor. additionally a screen from the helicopter in the Modelviewer. Our team member Sven already started to model the Pilot. As soon as it's done I'll send some screens. Thanks for your patience
  18. Thanx, Cobra
  19. I took a look at the wonderful MIG-21 Cockpit in the modelviewer -> 365.000 triangles and 95 Textures. It's probably the bigget modul in DCS. Some PC's may not handle this. I'm on 34 to 36 Frames ...
  20. Thanx :)
  21. :furious:Question to all of you :) Does anyone know have pictures of the biV nightvision googles and the life vest...The BW don't give me any information. I just know there are 2 different types... thanx in advance :)
  22. Dear DCS Fans, had a little time to texture the HOT-Tubes (WIP) I also started to add stuff to the external model which is seen from outside. Thanks all for your patience.
  23. Please ask Pat...I'm not allowed to post any informations on the Gazelle.
