  1. Well, granted it's a lot of heavy metal going via EMS. I would message Cyph3r and see if there is anything they can do for you (including non EMS shipping).
  4. You definitely need to use the ball if you want to consistently take off without damaging your airplane. As soon as you see needle starting to swing in either direction, apply opposite rudder - the sooner you do, the smaller the deflection it will take to keep it centered and easier it will be to keep the plane straight. 109 is more 'settled' on take offs compared to 190 or Spit.
  5. Well, hopefully developers will see this thread and perhaps will consider changing mission parameters. P.S. Again, my only gripe with this quick mission is that it is labeled as Cold Start under Quick Start menu - this is where new players will most likely go to hone their skills from starting the airplane to taxing, taking off and possibly trying to land. This mission makes it an overly complicated task. P.P.S. Better yet, rename current mission and add simple navigation route with a couple of waypoints and landing on a different airfield to challenge navigation skills of the more advanced users - I would quiet enjoy flying this.
  6. Sure I can change weather settings, but... what was creator's idea for this mission? Just to turn the engine on and enjoy the outside view? Would planes in real life (during WW2 period) fly in fog conditions such as in the mission? P.S. FW190 Cold Start quick mission also starts from this same airfield, but during later time in the day and with less fog - still less then ideal IMO for a quick mission, but at least it's possible to do a visual approach.
  7. Not complaining, but why would Cold Start instant action on Normandy map be done at an early morning time with heavy ground fog? Once airborne, ground is covered in fog making finding your way back to the airfield a challenge. P.S. I'm in VR, so perhaps things are a bit different on monitor...
  8. I think your statement actually reinforces why we need 3-axis pedals;) Extra axis can be left unassigned and it won't matter for when either plane or game does not support them; but when you need them - T-rudders (or should I say 1-axis rudder, no matter if it's slide or push design) just doesn't have an answer.
  9. Given how similar Virpil and VKB's modern grips are, I think it's possible Virpil might produce KG13 grip at some point in the future.
  10. Possible, but why would Virpil display it?
  11. Nice! You guys should definitely look into making American style grips - judging by the TM F-18 grip bandwagon, you will get quiet a lot of people buying them (and unlike VKB, your grips are compatible with TM bases so you will get some of Warthog/Cougar users jumping in to buy them).
  12. Looks like KG13 grip in the background there...
  13. Just wondering if anyone here upgraded from 1070 to 1080ti and if upgrade was worth it - at least as far things in DCS VR go?
  14. Человек рекламирует свой товар. Я бы понял иронию если бы в джойстик реально надо бы было что-то более сильное чем 8бит контроллер...
  15. А каковы были ожидания - что Вы думали там будет? Просто интересно...
  16. Disregarding the state of the damage model in DCS (which I agree needs to be improved and hopefully is coming soon), the number of bombers you can shoot down in a sortie in DCS will never correlate to what happened in real life. You are sitting in your chair and flying an abstract plane against abstract enemy; you are not at 20k feet fighting cold and lack of oxygen and there is no fear of dying from even a single stray bullet. Your attacks will be longer, from closer distance and more then likely you will place your plane in a position that it real life would be considered extremely bold and/or downright suicidal.
  17. Thanks a lot Sabre!
  18. я бы многого не ожидал от ракет 21го...
  19. Stupid suggestion perhaps, but I think in this campaign you need to confirm over the radio when you are in the area and ready for engagement; have you done that? See this video for reference, 39-46 seconds:
  20. This would definitely require GPU upgrade - assuming OP has stuttering issues already, going to 1920x1080 (I assume that's pretty much what all new monitors would have as native resolution unless you go for 4K or widescreens) would just magnify this problem. SSD, 16GB RAM, GTX 1060 would be my upgrade route and probably in the order I listed them (given how cheap RAM is, I would do SSD and RAM as one step). I'm not too familiar with AMD's, but I think 8150 is 2011/12 - I don't know if putting GTX 1060 will improve things much at this point. For a time, I tried running DCS on my old gaming laptop with i7-3610QM, 8GB RAM and GTX 660M and it wasn't a very happy experience - adding another 8GB RAM and switching to SSD solved my stuttering issues then (obviously I was locked to 660M, so not sure how much gain new GPU would have given me - I would not expect much though as pretty much everyone agrees DCS is CPU hungry). So yea, SSD and RAM to see if problems get resolved. If not, I would invest heavily in GTX 1070/1080 - at least this card could be used in the future upgrade of the whole system which let's be honest, will happen sooner than later...
  21. Hello, I've bought the BFM campaign a few days ago and was looking through maps/navigation points in the campaign manual to get myself familiar with the area of operations. Manual contains two charts with waypoints - they are labeled BFM and FAM. FAM (familiarization flight at the start of the campaign?) goes through Red/Blue egress waypoints and has a waypoint HIKO (going by my memory as I don't have doc in front of me right now) in between them. Unfortunately there does not seem to be any navigational info in the manual given for this waypoint. How can I navigate to it? Thanks!
  22. Campaign manual has a page with a listing of all TACAN points and their magnetic deviations - LSV for example is 15 degrees. I take it that when you look at the map, you would need to add 15 degrees to whatever radial you are being shown. That, or you would need to subtract 15 degrees from the radial shown on HSI to match waypoints on the map... P.S. I just got the campaign, so I did not get to fly it yet, but this is my understanding of how it works and by looking at the campaign manual charts/waypoint positions.
  23. Try upgrading to SSD, that should solve your stuttering issues.
