  1. This leads me to another question: I know when I didn't retract the landing gear, I was at over 400knots. I had thought the landing gear will be damaged by then? I know I had landed the plane too. Is this correct in real life?
  2. OMG, all these time I had thought gear was up, but no it's not. I was wondering at one time why the gear light was on without thinking it actually meant the gear was still down. It turned out to be an error in my TM program... Thanks guys
  3. Interesting point. Though I never forget raising the landing gear, I can't verify from external views as that is disabled in MP; I know I don't have problem doing that in SP. I should be able to tell from with the cockpit, lower left corner, correct?
  4. I don't know if I was reading it right, but today when I was flying I took a look at the fuel quantity, when the internal fuel indicator was at two third, but my externals were still at 4700lbs? That means the externals are still full?
  5. Just happened to me. Had a successful dogfight, long waited, played the track in SP so that Tacview can record it. But the replay only showed my plane stuck in the grass couldn't come out. Of course I am not able to analyze the fight now... There is no fix?
  6. Found the reason, just need to replay the tracks in SP.
  7. I installed Tacview, found the acmi files from both MP and SP. However the MP replay only shows my plane, no other plane is shown in there. Is there any reason why?
  8. Today as I thought about Svend_Dellepude approach again and realized what I didn't understand correctly; went on the computer and did it the right way and it worked so mic better. Thanks guys!
  9. Totally agree. Followed your tactic and got a couple scores; then got a bit greedy trying to get two more then got shot down by a group of fighter working as team...
  10. Tried again today still no joy to me. I have set the zoom in Target to the far left still doesn't work well for me. I mean it is just not easy to make fine movement of the TDC. This will certainly be a problem if the bandits are close to each other. Svend_Dellepude, once I start Target, I am not able to set the axis in DCS control panel, am I missing anything?
  11. Azrayen, tried your set up, still felt too sensitive, always got the over movement; Svend_Dellepude, what do you refer to as sensitivity in Target?
  12. Fitness88, you mentioned you switched indicated fuel selector knob, could you tell me how to do it? I had thought none of the switches or knobs is selectable? Thanks.
  13. Where do I set sensitivity?
  14. Thanks, will try that tonight
  15. Just want to see how others are setting up the TM warthog to manage the TDC. I set it up on the little nimble with up/down/left/right and press on the throttle, but I find it to be very difficult to move accurately, obviously this is bad when you have multiple bandits coming at you and close in fast. How are you setting this up?
  16. I suppose the server will do the CPU intensive calculations needed for the sim? Client will be more for its own graphics?
  17. Could you elaborate a bit more on the cooperative target? I didn't think one could do it with BVR missiles.
  18. So it is not really "fire-and-forget" in BVR, correct? If I try to notch incoming missile, then I will lose the lock and then my missile is wasted?
  19. Looking for an answer regarding this and found this thread. Is it correct to say that the AIM-120B and C are both fire-and-forget at BVR and Visual Range? I had thought for BVR you had to guide it until pitbull; but somewhere I thought I read it would take the initial data to guide itself until pitbull if the link to the aircraft radar is broken . This wouldn't be the most effective I understand. Can someone confirm? Thanks.
  20. Tks Riptide. I flew to waypoint 2 yesterday, other than finding a few friendly a10s, no other CAP fighters there, even friendly fighters. When I joined the server, there were certainly 5 other f15s. Just wondering why... So by design, red/blue should meet at waypoint 2?
  21. Newbie question here, I need a little help to understand the basics here. I got on to the 104th server to get familiar with what's there, by reading the briefing, am I right in saying the red and blue have different target area? As I fly CAP, am I supposed to go to where the red CAS is so I can find the red CAP fighters? I am a bit confused here because o had thought the whole idea was to have red and blue to "meet" each other by design to have the combat; if the target area isn't the same, there would be no "meeting". Searched around couldn't find straight answer. I suppose I missed something. Please help me to understand, thanks.
  22. ApoNOOB, this issue was there before the update, and is there after my last update. Riptide, I flew the F-15.
  23. I upgraded to the latest update, I can connect to the server now. One thing I find strange is that whenever I am at the 104th server, one of my HOTAS buttons is not working. This specific button is to have Nose Wheel Steering. It works everywhere else, MP or SP, just not on this server. Does anyone know why this could be happening? I am using the Warthog joystick therefore the Target software to program all the buttons. Without this NWS working, I am not able to steer my plane on the runway and end up being in the mud not able to move, I had to quit to the spectators... The other question I have is, before I connect, I see the server is almost full, 26/27; I connected to the server, between the red/blue, I can't see there are 26 people, maybe 10, am I missing something here?
  24. Thanks Fakum, that's very nice of you to share your experience. I will for sure to consult. What is required to setup a server? A separate license? a TS server?
  25. Thanks ApoNOOB, that's helpful. However I guess the organized squadrons are all for experienced and qualified pilots, which I am not. So I thought I would get familiar with the environment first... Fakum, I'd do the same like you did. I am glad I am not the only one with kids around but still have a passion to fly and enjoy in our spare time (rarely found) in this virtual world.
