10 Install DCS World 20 Install Oculus Rift Runtime for Windows 30 Enable Rift as secondary:extended monitor in GFX settings of PC enable auto detect rift and leave it checked. do not have full screen enabled. menu of dcs world will appear on primary monitor. run game. enable dk2 as primary to get mouse control. Currently now i have enabled all gfx global setting to max and DK2 looks more an more like the 3d models when using 3d glasses... still not good enough on text yet... ce la vie. unless doing all that extra stuff helps with the picture quality? extended mode. leave monitor as primary. launch dcs nav through menu, ex > instant action > f15 intercept. game should load into dk2. from here this will depend on your DCS setup on what needs to be done. 1a if dcs is full screen. > now make dk2 primary monitor. 1b if dcs is windowed mode > click fly move on. Now if only we could get this to run in app mode...

no one?? wow. The missing link: Oculus Rift. EDGE, 2.0 can come out 4 years from now and i would not care. A patch and correctly working OR would be intense. HOTAS + VR. Shot down a few in MP, cannot read the text, but good enough to fly. Mig-21 looks near perfect, truly a work of art.

Just received DK2. I refuse to play this game until they support it(correctly). It is amazing. But near impossible/unplayable with the way dk2 works currently. But I haven't switched back to trackir, it doesn't even compare. So if your curious to what's next.

Is there any plans to have OR work in app mode instead of extended desktop?

H's you can launch further out if thats your game plan.

only thing i could suggest, is make sure you are using OR in extended desktop.

When pressed it still works but it doesn't "hook". when releasing 5 it just goes back to original position. Now just fyi pressing 5 w/ trackir(previous setup) worked.

On Day 2. I moved the DK2 camera to the top of my monitor and wow what a difference! i can finally read the text with no eye strain. I did have the camera mounted further back per instructions (5ft away). Now it still has blurry image but readable text, now im only wondering what else can be done to further improve the image.... Have not yet tried peterP mod, but currently is there a way to have have the zoom work in game? very hard to fly the a10c... may just need practice.. Is there also a way to change the zoom/head postion in game? a10c the seat looks 2ft away from the rear. (with trackir zoom would fix this.) also sometimes loading into the game the head position is off vertically. thanks!

ED(elite dangerous) has unreadable text also. The game looks amazing using OR. I imagine dcs will look even stellar with 2.0. Have yet to try alien yet. Will try later after work. I'll presume alien works like ED and using the app mode instead of extending desktop. Thanks for the much needed help.

I wonder why there is no simple convergence method to fix this. Kind of like the old rear projection tv's. Aligning red,green,blue.

The butterflies, motion sickness is a added bonus! Appreciate any tips given as this tech is great. And I'm only on day1. Im glad it will only get better from here. Very exciting. For the eye sight adjustment in DCS I hope to find a resolve from that with some trial and error.

Might be. When using my joystick(TM HOTAS) I barely touch it and get results. But it could just be a mix of things... some are game related others are input error on my side im 100% sure of that. Wouldn't want to point any fingers at any mode/style/ so trying to be as general as possible but there is 2 things that maybe i could reference. One being a10c with a full load out, not sure why but w/ the plane trimmed you can fly the same speed as it being clean. was a thread on this already(not searched.) The other being f15 at 25K-40K+ when turning if i do not take precision and small movements the plane will just spin. I really do not trim the f15 at all either. will just fly it in ATT mode or use the keyboard command CTRL+ ;. to trim it out but still no difference in turning. Now this leads into other factors that i know nothing of, AoA, Speed, G's etc. I just fly the thing... I've watched a few videos on what to look for but it seems when i m in game the numbers on HUD(lower left? G's AoA?), and just reading the gauges doesn't add up in my head so i pay no mind... but i would presume if i didn't fly like a idoit maybe climbing and turning would result in me sticking the HUD ladder more accurately as of now 'i just wing it.'

quick google search may show somewhat of a ex: few other hud view in video as well.

When i fly and i watch real life pilots fly, i cannot seem to move my ladder on HUD the way they can. Per say going from 25 to flat 0 smooth or and combination. Any help?

Almost 3 pages and no one suggests that are using the ER incorrectly. Basically all this can be summed up in I ambush my target using a mig vs f15. A lot just jump into MP and don't take advantages of single player and learning how the game works. FYI I've shot tws2 in a mig using er's... I've shot targets with a ER dropped lock and required targets getting a surprise kill. Just se food for thought.

2 different modes game and sim. Now what would be nice is if every module mapped defaults to the joystick and throttle controls. With all the internal testing that gets done it amazes me still I will have 4 different names for the same control button between different modules. (There are many factors that go beyond why it's best to have a clean slate and mapping the controls yourself. Still IMO the basics should come mapped... The a10c is about as pretty as it gets. The rest good luck and I suggest learning how to save control settings and exporting importing them. From playing the beta and regular game...

I was referring to the simulation setup. Not the f-35. (Can fly f-35 in fsx,.. ). Also video image very nice!

i'm presuming you did not purchase. If you have any interest in the helo i would suggest buying it. I have not learned a fraction of it, but like to just wing it and have some fun. Those statements are true, you can be in the co pilot, gunner etc. They plan to add multiplayer coop to those seats. IE 2 coop players in the same helo.

Can your friend join another MP server and join the su25t?
