I just bought the Mi-8 module few days ago and I have not tried UPK-23-250 pods yet, but I use them in the Ka-50 and they are very powerful and pack quite a punch. I do not think they mix AP with HE since I do not see bullets bouncing from its impact on the ground, something I see when using AP ammo in the 2A42 cannon.

Now think what if you could buy a missile with a performance similar to the Maverik's by 1/5 of its cost. You could blow 5X expensive tanks. To destroy a truck I just would use guns. Edit: cheap guns, not GAU-8.

The Mi-8 is a tricky machine to fly. Ka-50 is much easier. In DCS I mean.

Indeed tragic. I myself I have suffered VRS while playing the Mi-8 module, but never thought to see a video of it, that's why I posted it.

A double rotor helicopter is less prone to VRS?

I want get advantage of the special offer "Spring 2016 DCS World Sale Continuation" to purchase the "A-10C + A-10C Red Flag Сampaign" since it is a good opportunity, however I do not want to install DCS 2.0, and subsequently "DCS: NEVADA Test and Training Range map", for now. Is it possible to buy the "A-10C + A-10C Red Flag Сampaign", and just use the A-10C module in 1.5 in the standard Caucasus map? Will it be possible to use the Red Flag Campaign part when I buy NTTR after installing 2.0? Thanks in advance.

Yes, but why the ex-soviet GPUs do not work? Is it a bug or a feature? I thought that coalition assured interoperability given technical compliance.

The FARP is set up properly. Same coalition. Georgian GPU, Spanish KA-50. The M818 works, the other two not.

The Georgian GPUs APA-5D and APA-80 do not work. The ground crew cannot comply with the attachment order to the Ka-50. However the M818 works.

I set clutter/bushes to 500 and no difference.

Hello, I have noticed that the following settings (clutter/bushes & preload radius) are not affected by the presets (low, medium, high) and keep their values regardless of which preset I apply. Trees visibility changes accordingly to the presets, however. I would like to know the default values for this two settings for the three presets, if possible. Temperature changes with altitude and time of day. The one you set is at sea level.

Try to do your best to trim the aircraft in order to hover. However lateral winds will take you out of your desired heading. Not even Auto Hover can keep up with strong lateral winds. However, engaging Route mode while hovering properly trimmed is more effective. This is very useful when you have engaged Automatic turn on target.

Well, you have to push a waypoint number after enabling WP again. I tested the procedure from the manual yesterday and worked as it should..
