  1. Ahh ok... i will try that... Thanks bud
  2. Afternoon all. I am trying to set up a mission so that when the tanker RTB with bingo fuel it triggers the 2nd tanker to start but i cant find a reliable way of doing so. I know i can put a trigger zone where the tanker lands but what i want is for the second tanker to take off before the 1st lands if you know what i mean? Any ideas on how i could go about it?
  3. Ohhh and another thing.... you don't look at your wheels when you are landing do you? Same thing......practice practice practice.... you will get it.... and if you don't I tell you what I will do........ I will run a one on one with you on our server for a hour sometime...
  4. Well if you insist on using alt hold and afc there is no helping you. I had people on our server on their second day of flying plugging up to the basket and none of them use afc or alt hold..... I don't understand how you think that helps having them enabled? By having them enabled you are already fighting the afc and alt hold before even thinking about getting plugged in...
  5. Ok never ever use afc or alt hold.... always get your aircraft trimmed to fly level at the tanker set speed. Make sure flaps are set to cruise. Make sure you get you altitude correct first and the drive into the basket. Ignore the breakaway calls. And don't chase the basket. If you have to start adjusting your altitude when near the basket just drop back and reset yourself again. I promise that once you start getting it all becomes real easy. Ohhh and another tip is to adjust curve on your stick so it's not so sensitive around the hands off position.
  6. I thought on the caucus map you can use the airfield ils for awl?

  8. ILS is instrumented landing system?
  9. Will we ever be able to input ILS Frequencies manually into the AV8 or at least be able to preset them in the ME as i cant find channels for the persian gulf map
  10. Awww now this looks interesting
  11. In the 800th Naval Air Squadron we fly the AV8 and the first thing we do is to get the new pilots to do circuits, approaches and landing/takeoff from the carrier. Once we think they are competent enough we then conduct carrier qualifications which consists of 5 safe/clean day landings and 3 safe/clean night landings. After that we start looking at navigation and weapons. We also try to get pilots to fill out PIREPS online after every flight so we can see who is doing what flying and how much.
  12. Still recruiting chaps.
  13. Ok chaps... Not a lot of info out there so i thought i would ask here... Is it possible to sling load a humvee without scripts? If not what script should i use?
  14. Here you go.. The 800th Naval Air Squadron is part of the UK Navalops Group. The group consists of a couple of squadrons but the 800th Naval Air Squadron fly the AV8B (Harrier GR9). We are a quite a young group but we are growing slowly. We are looking for more AV8B pilots but it doesnt matter if you are experienced or not as training will be given. There are several positions open at the moment so if you think you could benefit from being part of the squadron or perhaps you could help us then dont hesitate and sign up now. We use a web based flight logging software using VABase. All pilots are to manually file a Pirep after each flight. This can be for both online and offline flights. all Pireps are to be checked and accepted by the Squadron Commander. New recruits will go through Carrier Qualifications and training will be provided if needed and then every 3 months we we have a refresher. We are currently on a 3 month Deployment to the Persian Gulf so you will need to have this map. If you are excepted into the squadron you will be assigned your own personal airframe number and Skin which must be used whilst in our server. If you are interested then please go to our website and fill in the short application. If you need any more info please dont hesitate to contact me by pm on here. See you in the skies http://www.uknavalops.co.uk/
  15. ATIS in DCS???????? Am i missing something here?
  16. Will do when i get a minute if i can replicate it... I did fix the problem by pressing the pickle button a second time though..
  17. Cheers Mav You are a star....
  18. I don't think you read my comment correctly. I had just released 1 gbu12 and still had more in stores. To get rI'd of the lines I had to prest the pickle button a second time?
  19. Yes but wouldn't that just happen at mission start and not when someone logs on?
  20. Been flying the harrier tonight as usual but for some reason all of a sudden i got 4 lines across the HUD as if i had used all my weapons but i still have 4 gbus left? What have i done?
  21. How do i add welcome messages to clients joining a server? is it mission specific?
  22. Ahh sorry i found them lol
  23. I may be blind but where are the tower frequencies buddy?
