How do i cycle tracked targets in TWS mode ?

Please look at tacview file, i have questions
Maximus_Lazarus replied to Maximus_Lazarus's topic in Multiplayer
hmm u sure it wasn't a bug ? I mean, i never see missiles behave like that, every tacview i look at . Sadly in multiplayer 90% of missile launches are "max-range-run-like-b^tch-after-launch" so they aren't exactly guided for more than 1.5 seconds either. Meaning people just spam 4 missiles at max range and turn around instantly . I never see missiles behave like mine. -
So, first time on that server, i have no clue and and flying right through sams and even ground troops are shooting bullets at me , i evade about 3 enemy air to air missiles without realizing , i have 4 gaylords locked and manage to shoot down an SU25 while 4 others (migs and su's) are shooting missiles at me. All this was blind luck i should have been dead by the first missile At some point "dw-wizard" pops out behind his 50 SAMS, shoots an ET at me and hurry's back into the wall of sams :megalol: But my question, at around 13 minutes in, i fire 2 missiles @ "DW-Omni" , i had him bugged in TWS , i got the LA , but the missiles don't ever even seem to go after him. They PASS him like 50 meters of each side of his plane What happened there ? Why wouldn't they track him ? He didn't make any manouvres at all Is this a bug ? Tacview : http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/517813/tacview-acmi.html oh and i died from passing out (i think) ? Controls just wouldn't respond anymore -_-

Could you explain the bold part in noob terms ? What's the "break-X" and what's "the lag" ?

Older version than perhaps ? I can't even find it not on 127 and not on 128 -
F15C AFM too sensitive to control (CH Fightstick)
Maximus_Lazarus replied to uboats's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
No, you're missing the point. I'm saying that you can bleed a missile's speed much more quickly now without having to worry about your own speed draining when doing high speed high G manouvres. Basically, snaking an enemy missile is so much more easier than it was. It's simple geometry. Try it. You might learn something. -

Not for "dodging" no, but for simply outrunning and letting the missile bleed heavily while you perform your high speed high G turn for 6 seconds on end. @ badk Try 90% pull , seriously it's a huge difference with how it was before. Really the engines are a LOT more powerfull -

Does this server run the 1.2.8 beta version by the way ? -
F15C AFM too sensitive to control (CH Fightstick)
Maximus_Lazarus replied to uboats's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
Well that's my point a little If they also give the other jets these engine steroid injections, shooting eachother down will become almost impossible Just fly with high speed into target with enemy on your 10 o clock , and i bet you can still outrun any air to air missile at 3 to 4 miles ? Someone should test this, not me cause i'm too dumb. -

excellent arguments. ( well the starcraft one mostly) Maybe total balance is not as important in this game as it is in other games. Also the r77 could be replaced with any rocket in my post. It was more about the engine boost of the F15 than it was about actual missiles. Anyway, i do suggest you try for yourself, get in F15, make some speed, put on that afterburner and try to bleed speed. It's almost impossible. I believe it will be tweaked down a bit in the future. -
hmm i could have sworn i saw it I think it's still there edit* yep, it's under "multiplayer" and then "options"

F15C AFM too sensitive to control (CH Fightstick)
Maximus_Lazarus replied to uboats's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
Both planes can have their pro's and con's , but all must be balanced. Do you think Starcraft would be a a success if the zergs and protoss weren't equally strong ? Balance is everything. I get what you're saying though . Anyway, if they keep the engines like this it's going to get real hard to get kills. -

Maximus_Lazarus replied to uboats's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
Yeah you could always sustain "a" corner in the F-15, but now you can go 700 knots, and almost have the stick at maximum pull without losing air speed ! This is incredibly usefull for evading missiles, sharp and high speed , and very very long (time-wise) turns. In the old situation that would have bled your speed to STALL in mere seconds. In all honestly though, i did always feel that the engines in the lomac jets seemed a bit under powered . Who knows, maybe the situation as it is now is more realistic, but i kind of doubt it. -

I think that now, when you fly into an freshly fired R-77 at 3 miles, you can still turn 180 and outrun it :D I mean, it's all cool and stuff but this is still a "game" , and there needs to be balance. Whether that is realistic or not , balance comes first. So, if the russian planes will also have "super sayan" (i lolled :d ) engines in the future, then air to air combat is going to get real weird -
[Videos for beginners] How to use the Missioneditor
Maximus_Lazarus replied to VTJS17_Fire's topic in Mission Editor
Supertoll und affengeil ja oder ! :D -
Flight mechanics are a little broken in the beta . It's like the trims and rudders are screwed up or something. Extremely unstable. Also the engine seems to have gotten some serious steroid injections, You can pull what, 8 g's (?) continually at 700 knots without losing any speed . No air to air missile in the world is going to be able to shoot the F15 down now lol I guess they'll fix it, in the meanwhile back to 1.2.7 :)

wow that blows, not to mention even after re-doing them , the controls are really buggy ! Then, i noticed engine start up now takes twice as long . Then, i fell over while taxi'ing . Then, i noticed how utterly crap the plane handles on the runway . Same thing in the air  Did ED think that american planes are supposed to handle like american cars ? I don't really like this new handling to be honest, except that it seems that speed is no longer bleeding THAT fast when turning.

For all other games yes, not in this case it seems though

How do i copy my settings from version 1.2.7 to 1.2.8 (beta) ? I mean there has to be some sort of config file which contains all my settings, i just can't find it
-
goddamnit which is the file with the joystick settings ? I've tried to replace the whole "input" folder but that did not work
-
thank you

How do i obtain it ?
