NVIDIA GeForce Experience - ShadowPlay
Maximus_Lazarus replied to terence44's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
dxtory ! You'll lose about ... 2 to 3 frames when recording with dxtory codec. Files will be pretty big , BUT you can set the resolution you record in . I don't think there are many recorders that can do that. So, you play at 1920x1080, but you can RECORD in 1280x720 if you want to save disk space. Or, just buy a 500 GB hard drive only for vids, and never worry about that again. -
Could the new flight model be more taxing on the cpu ?

Who needs missiles anyway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uW7LVa9Y_zA (i can't corkscrew for crap lol :doh: ) This new missile behaviour does make for more interesting fights in multiplayer, altough i do think the speed and range difference between the ER and 120's is too great atm . You can hear it coming sure so you may not die to them very often, but it seems very hard to get close enough to an su27 to have a shot at killing him
-
yeah, but he said it used to be better, on that same tv

yes do not stray from your native resolution . I think the problem may lie with this "nvidia inspector" thing, from what i can tell it's a 3rd party program, not made by nvidia that is supposed to "increase framerate" . It sounds something like we used WAY LONG ago in the aquamark3 days :D . It was a driver that would give you a couple more frames in that ancient benchmark so you could brag about it. But more fps , usually means less image quality , so maybe these drivers take away some image quality to increase frame rate. Maybe in 99% of games you may not even notice this but in rare instances you DO notice, like the HUD clarity in DCS ? Have you tried running without nvidia inspector ? And just use standard driver ?

i cant use Tacview in multiplayer? help me please
Maximus_Lazarus replied to Qosmius's topic in Multiplayer
If i set the resolution of the game to say 800x600, before i replay the track, will it play the track in that lower resolution ? Never mind, i could just try it out real quick -
I have no idea what you are talking about , and i do think your post is offensive. it's pretty clear in the thread that i linked that the missiles atm are pretty weak . So what ? Missiles have been adjusted, (i'm not allowed to say "nerf" that's what the "" are for) , this is fact. No "complaint" in there, just a fact , a fact that i no longer have any sort of feelings about neither negative nor positive. I just answer OP's question, but your post to me , feels like you are baiting for a confrontation. If you are, i suggest you stop being such a drama queen and read my post for what it is.

Maximus_Lazarus replied to Qosmius's topic in Multiplayer
Man, it's like i'm reading one of my own rage threads :megalol: I seriously made a thread EXACTLY like this one some time ago. Anyway, it's not so bad . The only annoying thing, is that you need to sit through the replay first before you can look the tacview. So, after flying : Go to "replay" , select last track , then press "PAUSE" to start it . After a short while it will go. Then you can speed the process up with "left alt + z " . It's annoying but you must deal with it . :( -
Missiles have been "adjusted" in this latest patch . Basically, they are now pretty bad. Check out the last few pages of this thread : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=121551

How to communicate with team members

How to communicate with team members
Maximus_Lazarus replied to Maximus_Lazarus's topic in Multiplayer
k thx good tips (especially frostie) I'll try next time to agree on a plan that is as basic as possible. Very simple to execute. The simpler the better. ("drag @ bag" or how you guys call it , or even simpler one goes high other goes low, as long as it is very basic) And second make agree on a retreat point , not so hard since mostly when flying say north, you'd be retreating to south, right ? So a previous landmark between destination and base to meet up so you always know which way you are both flying ? Basically try to keep things as simple as possible -
The neighbours must be thrilled about this :D

Ok, so you and a teammate are flying to the objective . You spot some enemies , communicate it with him or vice versa. But... then what ? Do you make a plan ? Do you both attack ? Ok i guess you can make that up as you go , but when everybody is fighting, i find that communicating efficiently is , challenging. You lost eachother, both busy fending off incoming missiles ... It's not super easy to fly with another person i found. It takes quite some brain power to keep also track of him, and be usefull to eachother at the same time . Is this something that comes with practice, routine ? I understand this is a vague question, and it's probably second nature to the people that have been flying in groups since forever, but i'd still like some pointers, if there can be given any. How to make the most of flying with someone else , and also how do you not lose eachother in the commotion ?

Much more twitchy Will fall over while taxi-ing VERY easily Flying at high altitude, well, don't make any sudden moves or you'll be violently spinning and spiraling downwards. Flying at low speed , same thing . Engines seems to have gotten a boost. Making sustained turns can get a bit weird (same speed same joystick position same everything, but after a few seconds > spin out of control ) Landing, a lot harder Wheelbrakes , they don't do much anymore Air brake at low speeds , well, same thing doesn't do much Out of the top of my head ^

Not going to attack defenseless targets anymore.
Maximus_Lazarus replied to Maximus_Lazarus's topic in Multiplayer
Tell all of your team where you are , and ask for help as soon as you think an enemy jet is coming for you ? -
dude, give that video a proper name ! (the walkaround vid on youtube) "Craziest sim pit in the world" or something like that.

How to lower/disable radio in FC3
Maximus_Lazarus replied to bkthunder's topic in DCS: Flaming Cliffs
Good question, especially when on red team this is very annoying . -
I guess we'll see how the missiles turn out with time

There's so many more, even when tracked ALL the way they just gently fly past an enemy plane. My internet is stable as hell, this country is made of fiberglass , there's not a person in the whole country that has below 50 Mb's of internet 5bk7oRIgenk I guess chaff is now as effective as it is in BF3 , works EVERYTIME . -_- n-Y9RN4jBNw Maybe the Benny Hill theme should be played , when 2 jets are fighting eachotehr that are aware of eachoter's presence. YES, you can come up from the side or behind someone and kill them from very close range , but in a fair 1 vs 1 , or even 1 vs 2 fight, it's just plain silly like 2 monkeys throwing turds at eachother and every fight ends in a draw.
-
@ Skatezilla yeah i'm sure you can surprise some unsuspecting noobs from behind while camping in the mountains and kill them from 1 mile away, but in a 1 vs 1 FIGHT , BVR is a complete joke as it is now. "chaff bug" Did not know this , at least we're getting somewhere now.
-
seriously ? , did you not read ? Are you trying to make me angry on purpose ??? It GOES active, GUIDES itself to a NON MANOUVRING target, AND STILL FREAKING MISSES while it has PLENTY SPEED left It's like i'm talking to a brick wall or something , watch the tacview PLEASE That is not my quote btw ^
-
IT IS SUPPORTED FOR 75% of the way Then it even , as by a miracle guides itself to the target, but STILL FREAKING MISSES at mach 2 speed ! \ FUYHUUDFS:JKLHSDJH :VCsx
