Now that we have the controls indicator I've noticed this as well. The aileron trim "neutral" zone has a left bias. It also seems like the deadzone/curve issue, or twitchiness, on takeoff is caused by wind. If I run a mission with 0-2kts of wind I have no issues. When I run a mission with 5-10kts of wind, it's like the deadzone/curves aren't applied and my wings rock with the slightest inputs.

It's a pain having to add the DTC to each individual aircraft in the group if they're using the same DTC. It would be nice if we could load the same DTC to all units in the group like we can with the payload and radio settings.

Same in the Quest 2. Movement delay and poor framerates when I enable to middle mirror. If I use only the side mirrors things seem okay.

Documentation on what was based where during the Cold War
Nealius replied to Agg's topic in DCS: Cold War Germany
I saw Wittstock was a major Fulcrum base for the Soviets, but currently it won't let us park any 29s in the shelters. Or on the ramp. -
Wittstock housed a squadron of Soviet MiG-29s, in excess of 20 aircraft, yet we only have 12 parking slots available for the Fulcrum, 8 of which are maintenance hangars. Ample photos and vidoes exist on the net showing Fulcrums using the shelters at Wittstock as well as large numbers of them lined up on the ramp, none of which we are able to use at the moment due to parking restrictions.

Documentation on what was based where during the Cold War
Nealius replied to Agg's topic in DCS: Cold War Germany
Must have been bad timing when I clicked on it. So Preschen was the only base with German Fulcrums? Sucks that we don't have that airbase on the Germany map. -
I did immediately after the AFCS check. All three neutral trim lamps were lit. However when I do so, I always need significant left trim until that lamp illuminates. Additionally, trim setting should not affect deadzone/curve application, should it? Tim neutral just before takeoff on the above track:
-
After takeoff my stick deadzones and curves are not applied, and the roll axis in particular is extremely twitchy. There is also some uncommanded left roll which disappears some time during climbout. It isn't until I'm established level at 15,000ft that my deadzones and curves are applied. Large track so hosting on Google Drive, flown on Germany map.
-
As soon as I start taxiing I get a consistent stutter, particularly noticeable in VR. Oddly, when this stutter occurs the navigation panel's WP/AD switch gets reset to AD after I had set it to WP during startup. Track too large for direct upload, so adding to Google Drive: here Using the Germany CW map.

scamble.nl gives a 403 error. I've been using this site: https://www.mil-airfields.de/countries.html#DE However it can sometime be thin on what units are based where during which time frame. A lot of it seems to be focused on MiG-15/-17 era. -
With cockpit and game localization set to English the AWACS/GCI is still in Russian. With eyes on sensors, bandits, wingmen, or near rocks as you're ingressing/egressing at low altitude, having to take your eyes off more important things to read subtitles in the corner of the screen is a situational awareness nightmare; potentially a death sentence causing CFIT during low altitude flying. The AWACS/GCI voice needs to be in English and/or match the game's localization settings.

Four years, known issue before release is still not fixed: Two years, issue introduced two years ago still not fixed:

Will we also get Amiens Prison for Mosquito missions? Channel map has it, but that map's buildings are not destructable, making it useless for the Mosquito. Normandy has geat destructable scenery, but few historical targets existing for the Mosquito to strike.
-
Happens to me in Normandy 2.0 as well though.

Speak of the devil...
-
Ah, it's the terrain way out there that's the concern, then.

I'll post one where I have them dropping all 4 way short of the target. I haven't saved any where they go dumb, though. In actual missions I have 8 pairs of Mossies hitting various targets. All 16 of them drop 100-250m short of the target. AI-11s-delay.trk
-
With altitude set to 98ft they drop, but always 200m short of the target. If I increase the altitude to 200ft, they zoom up to a few thousand feet then plunge themselves vertically right into the ground.
-
"airspeed gauge" Anything should work, really, as long as it's a different name than "default."
-
In my missions they drop all four, however they consistently drop them 200m short of the target on low-altitude runs, and in some cases prior to the target they will zoom climb up to 2,000ft then suddenly spiral themselves into the ground for no reason.

Ah. That's always been a point of confusion for me in the Viper; magnetic or true as well. Sometimes I see it automatically changes to match what I have set in the HSI as well. Anyway, I shot another ILS and it doesn't put me into the hill, but it does put me quite close to the hill when there's a perfectly flat space along the river right along the runway axis. So I still don't understand the logic of offsetting the LOC to put an aircraft closer to terrain.

Looks like I had to change the name of the folder from "default" for it to work in Saved Games.
-
Yes, and there is only one option: "default." That option does not show the corrected indicator.

Please Address Game Bloat from CoreMods & Excessive Liveries
Nealius replied to celestHawk's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I never said I couldn't afford it, I pointed out a flaw in someone's logic in thinking that everyone lives in the same country with the same currency and the same availability of products. Single install. My dedicated server is on a different drive. The narrow-mindedness and constant straw man fallacies in this community are absurd. Please stop with stupid discussions like this to defend unreasonable software bloat.- 69 replies
