I would not be surprised if a year from now we see a DK3,I'll buy that as well lol.

I think DK2 will help with a lot of the problems people are having reading the MFD's because you will have the ability to lean in. I have 20/20 vision and I still have to lean in to read some of the finer things in the cockpit on my monitor.

You are missing the point,other than a holodeck the ultimate flight sim immersion is VR,the next thing you need for flight sim immersion is the ability to flick switches etc. The last is haptic feedback,the ability to feel the switches. With control VR you could use gestures to turn knobs or flick switches.think of a mouse cursor controlled by your fingertip,snap your finger to click a switch,you get the picture.

Whats really comical about it is on their Facebook page they are constantly giving updates about FSX projects. I dont expect to see anything from them on DCS for years,if ever.

I just sold my rift last week but I can tell you that after playing DCS with it,I cant play DCS without it anymore.Yes the graphics are low res and frankly you wouldnt be able to complete a single mission due to the fact that you cant read any of the displays or instruments.BUT the sense of immersion is unreal and it overrides that lack of high resolution.

I dont think we will know the resolution of CV1 for a while,my guess would be they dont want the competition to know until the last minute. I will definitely be getting a DK2,my GTX 570 aint gonna cut it tho,time to upgrade!!

There is definitely a problem with DCS and DK1 with AMD cards even tho ED has not acknowledged this. If you own a high end AMD card I definitely would NOT buy another card just to play DCS until they figure it out.

I put my DK1 on Ebay today and it sold in 4 hours!!

I dont think there is any way to zoom in if you have the rift on,sometimes I use trackir with the rift for 6 degrees of freedom but trackir is so finnicky that it is unplayable with that combination,if you have both you should try it tho.

A-4 is a day one purchase for me,this is awesome news!! Just a few questions tho. Will you be using DK1 or DK2 and will someone have video of this?

It's phenomenal but you cant read anything in the cockpit because of the low resolution,and if youre talking DK1 there is also motion blur.

Here is an interesting Reddit post that someone did,they did a benchmark test of a bunch of DK1 demos with a GTX 780ti and posted all the results in an excel type format. I got him to do the same with DCS. Maybe they will have different demos tomorrow,truth be told overall it was a lame day for Oculus in general.

Now of course we are all thinking those gloves would come in great for clicking switches and such in our DCS cockpit,but it would also be awesome to use as ground crew to park aircraft or line them up for the cat on a carrier.

This could be just what we need for DCS and the rift

So is ED going to fix the multiplayer rift issue or even acknowledge that you cant use multiplayer with the rift?
