Going from a TM Cougar to Logitch G940
Scudslaker replied to Tangolima600's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
there is almost for every mechanical part a risk to break in daily usage. your decision depends on what you wanna do with your HOTAS!) for me, i ve build a separately setup to fly helicopters in FSX, DCS or else. for military sims, i use a fssb modded cougar, cause i had problems with a non existent center zone on my cougar stick, so after i met the developer i had the chance to make a nice deal with him and it wasn t as expensive for me. as i build in the fssb 2 mod, it changed many things for me!) i wouldn t swap my "heavymetal" HOTAS to a plastic one..only cause it has FFB or a plus rudder. i think quality on the stick and buttons is well and i am really looking forward to get the warthog HOTAS from them, for 2engines fixed wing. edit: on the other hand, i see no glue to not buy some other devices to find out whats best for you!) don t worry, i have a collection of 3 HOTAS systems, 2 FFB Sticks, 1 modded joystick one selfbuild collectiv and an end is not insight^^!) -
4 v 4 furball, how to approach it
Scudslaker replied to thaFunkster's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
one time again, the key to get situational awareness is to practice, practice and to prqactice'!) but to be honest, i have same problems sometimes, that i cannot lock close or medium inbound enemies..so i have to practice on that too!) -
ja das auch ein weg,..allerdings bekommst man ja flott neue keys zugeschoben!)

What kind of a Training System will the DCS: A10 have?
Scudslaker replied to Snacko's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
does this mean, you need to do training before getting hot weapons? i think campaign or mission editor missions should work from the beginning like in ka 50 module. cheers SCUD -
du musst nicht wirklich deaktivieren. ich habs installiert auf neuem system, den ans netz geklemmt und dann fragt dich DCS sowieso nach dem registrierungskey!) das lief bei mir problemlos..don t worry!)
-
amazing work,..looking verry professional, you should think about a sales version of the modules!) big up from my side
-
why to laugh about it!) don t worry. but your thoughts are correct, to make concrete plans on what you do is best way. for me the most important fact on building anything is documentation on it!) so i think you re on the right way, sometimes i just think to long about one issue and i break myself off..so just keep on realizing ideas within 3 days, else you won t start doing it!)

please attach the pic again!) well i can provide a ready to connect to buttons interface!) if interested

lol..nice work Tom!)

2 way guarded switch for serious pitbuilder
Scudslaker replied to 159th_Falcon's topic in Home Cockpits
i d like to get some of them..i am working on layouts for pcb modules to my button solution, i even attached some pics in Krebs A10 C pit thread!) i whould be pleased!) -
i ll make a thread later on my switch solution,..it is verry easy, comfortable to programme, able to connect 128 buttons with 3 functions each by 3 modes!) i build a datalink panel and some weapons control panel for DCS, yet. my layout for the i/o boardis modular .. i ll attach a pic of the selfmade pcb and the two first prototyped modules!) so have a look on it, it s quite easy..the KEYWARRIORs i have still some in stock for cheap money..and the rest costs around 5 euro, apart from the buttons and switches!) :joystick:

mh, that WARPING is a possible problem, but as FSX does not respond with other ping then 80-180 i think it should be possible to deal that timing problem. even with some stottering we had no warpings in fsx so far. i whould be pleased if those synchonisation problems could be fixed in that complexe DCS environment.. CGTharos, does ED tested something familare, yet?

späte antwort, doch schönes video wollt ich mal sagen..
-
good question!) but to be honest the panel looks great with the mfds and dials.. what price will you make for it cheers Scud
-
i think same way,..but i don t think it should be a problem if the pilot or WSO disconnects during a mission caused by timeouts or overheating hardware,..i think a two seater module implements not only function of pilot or wso, i expect both and it should be possible for both crew members to do both jobs for several moments until the copilot rejoins the game again.. and if you think on FSX, there is no problem with network latencies if your flying together with one buddie in an pmdg 747 or else.. i enjoyed a couple of times and am really looking forward how ED will realize both planned modules, HIND and APACHE :pilotfly: time will bring the answer and ED is teaching patience

sounds great.. i ll join up even if i receive my new dsl line'!!)

meines wissens nach, hat das eine mit dem anderen nichts zu tun!) die config dateien sind weitestgehend gleich. daher wie zuvor manuell pixel größen festlegen und losgehts!)

nice Krebs.. i like it.. i pm you some interesting DIY button solution if interested!)

if you follow the link: "The crew, from RAF Lossiemouth, was photographed during a high-speed exercise through hills in Snowdonia." looks like a bigger exercise maneuver. wing tipping, to stay under mountain height and enter the next canyon in a right turn!) one of the F-15 pilots used the right AB to prevent descent in that sharp curve..verry nice..haven t seen in reallife videos so far...thx for sharing!!! so i don t think it s only to say hello to the spotters, it s more or less theire TASK to stay below radar scaners!)
-
welcome pilot!) issue 1 is discussed and should be clear i think, issue 2 sounds to me, like you have to much speed before hitting the hover key, AFAIK this moede only works correctly, if you are below 10 km/h, and on a stable altitude..means climb and descent rate should be leveled. for me, as i really like trimming my beast, i guess you should work on issue 1 to get the handling feeling of the copter and then you should be able to handle issue 2 by manual trimming. good luck on your practice..and many happy landings!) SCUD i don t use the hovermode
