  1. For the later posts.... INU is calibrated before take off?
  2. I had ordered the Tedac from them around the time of my initial post, but some months later they sent me the money back and then closed soon after that. I think there was to many products and not enough time to build all the orders, at least that is what I can assume from the details at companies house here in the UK. Luckily I ordered the Alain Defour unit before he stopped taking orders.
  3. Come on now, It is time for an update of this Superb Helicopter.
  4. I have noticed that the Yaw pedals need a quick trim click when yawing onto a new fire zone when operating with attitude hold and altitude hold.... but apart from that, the yaw stability seems fine for me at low speeds. I rarely fly with ATT or ALT hold active unless I am hovering for an attack or flying long distance. The ATT hold is very dependable, It will move off centre a bit but I account for that when I pull up into my fire zone and always immediately start configuring the aircraft for the attack whilst the ATT does what ever it needs to do. Lovely helicopter! I always do a 3 second or more trim press when I want to engage ATT and/or ALT mode.
  5. Only with all engines at full operating speed will you have enough power to rotate the rotors and drive the AC generator to power the onboard electronic systems. In the MI-8, I have had many times where I have had to evade missiles so violently that the AC generator shut down.... just when you need the them the most.
  6. What is the base of your the cyclic?
  7. It will not work... he is awesome at spotting targets (I love him, I love George dearly). An auto search George is just a "I win no matter what" scenario. It just would make the Apache even more awesome machine than it already is. Realistic spotting first then auto scan for targets. I talk to George Tom P, I look at something and say "my Loss" and he slaves TADS to my LOS and scans the area, if he finds something we kill it! I love George Tom P, I believe I have the wrong love for George. This discussion will go long into the future and will not change. The fact that in multiplayer he can be disabled.... now there is injustice! ... can Jester be disabled in the F14?
  8. I will give it till end of the year and if Komodo cannot deliver then I will go for Alain's Tedac.... Alain's V2 certainly looks good!
  9. N1 12% is engines hot to trot automatic spool up and only fuel cut off will stop the spool!
  10. So the Tedac is attached to an arm that moves? I imagine it works nicely and quickly when required. It is my intention to set the Tedac to a solid base that includes dedicated CPG MPDs (I own two sets of total controls MPDs). It is the only the fixing point that will have variable geometry... well at least that is my intention. What are the Tedac switches like compared to the Thrustmaster warthog stick buttons?... I know these Thrustmaster hats/buttons very well. What base are you using for the Cyyclic? What do you think of the Virpil AH-64D collective and base unit..... nice is it not?
  11. To be honest, George is pretty awesome as he is. To have him automatically searching for targets is simply problematic as he will find everything..... Instantly. I would rather his AMAZING ability to find targets restricted by my ability to guide him.
  12. So the handles cope well with your arms hanging? Good to hear all buttons work, for sure the new V2 looks good.
  13. I think I agree, what do the rest of you say in this thread regarding the the ICS/VOX/HOT MIC debate? Is it just an animation of switches or is is not working in multiplayer?
  14. I agree, but is it the same bug that my fellow apache pilots are experiencing or is it something new where the switch is doing nothing at all?
  15. Hi Alain, Your new V2 version looks very nice indeed on your discord. what switches are you using? Corbu1, How do the Tedac handles flex when holding them in a relaxed hunting state? CAGE & LMC on the left handle and HDD & LDV on the right handle, are they active?
  16. Regardless of early access release, since the last update, the CH-47F is without doubt, the easiest chopper to fly in DCS! The release or dropping off of the the suspended cargo seems to be problematic, can we get this fixed please. I guess the availability of a 3 point suspension load is screwing up the basic single point suspension load. For sure I cannot wait for the time that I can have 3 suspended loads on different length cables all with different delivery points! ] Gotta love the CAB... It gets Sh!t done!

  17. Sweating the metal is a good book. Gabreil, Why would you re-adjust the throttles to start state without the APU running? Why man, why?
  18. It is a brand new module, the bindings will be over written as ED adds new key bindings and changes older bindings. This is normal.
  19. Is this just an animation bug or is it not actually switching in the code? The total controls MPDs have an animation bug that shows no movement on the virtual MPDs when pressing the Left, Top, Right or Bottom buttons, they are actually switching/changing in the code but there is simply no animation. It is the same for the total controls' rotary selector for day, night & Mono settings. My ICS PTT/VOX/HOT MIC real switch does not move the virtual ICS PTT/VOX/HOT MIC switch and I am unsure if the real switch is switching in the code.
  20. Ultimately I agree. It is just easier for ED to not have the pilots head in the Apache and all is fixed for everyone.
  21. I do get why it is done, it is done to restrict Neck saver and Track IR cheats that allow you to look further than a IRL pilot could.... in some ways I find this valid. Needs tuning though.
  22. I think in my case it was when I was using the VHF head controller instead of the CDU to tune the vhf radio, I was having all sorts of game crashing and strangeness.
  23. I am very thankful that Razbam never made a helicopter!
  24. Does not drive me crazy but I do see the helmet often when flying the Apache. I do not use neck saver in my VR setup but I do tend to set my head position a little further back than the pilot bodies head, this is so I can increase the field of view of the HP reverb G2 and visually align my apache collective and warthog throttles with the virtual pit. It's not much behind but every time I lean left or right to see around the canopy framing..... which is like.... every 5 minutes, the pilot head appears slightly in front and to the side of my head and sometimes blocks the view I am trying to look at. In tight, low level combat, it can consume mental capacity.... which is a limited commodity in my case. I never see the head when looking left, right or trying to look to the rear.... unless I lean in the opposite direction to which I am looking.
