DCS World... Not working like that. I guess if I want to test my skin I have to keep loading the mission... bummer :joystick:
-
You can't expect perfect lining in a cockpit without 6DOF, or you shouldn't. Yeah, probably layer alignment or something similar, but show me if it happens in 6DOF F-15C cockpit... I didn't see it, but I believe it doesn't happen there.

River landing sucessful. (there is a point to this)
Kameni replied to LexiconG2's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
660 GTX 1.5GB - Graphic Accelerator 2GB HD - ? Pardon me for being dumb, but 2 Gigabytes of Hight Definition - of what, if the GPU is already listed? I'm missing the point. -
Are you saying this as a real life fact, or a simulator fact, I missed that?
-
So, we might say it is officially badly designed...? Anyone else to confirm?
-
TY, will try as soon as I get home. I'm new in skinning, but I might try in couple of days, when I have enough time :)
-
Forgive me for losing patience in browsing for the solution for hours with no succses. I want to: - 1 - Make skin for plane in DCS - 2 - Make it to add new skin slot instead of replacing anything already there - 3 - Put the skin for download/sale Any howto's? P.S. The number 2 is the problem I need you to help me with. Thank you for patience (if anyone gets it to help me) :D

Su-25T Uncontrollable After Using Autopilot
Kameni replied to MonsterZero's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
When you learn to pilot a plane. ;) Not before. Agree? :) EDIT: How will someone learn to fly if he uses autopilot from start? How will he understand simple things as - flying economically, if he does not know how to do it? Me, for example, use "lock altitude" occasionaly (when I go to toilet), and autopilot almost never. I control my plane in a manner that is not tiring for me, neither boring as flying 200km on autopilot and reading a book (I'd fly FSX if I wanted to read a book and fly) - and the result is that I have come to know the behaviour of the plane pretty well. I trim the bird, take notice of thrust, flight elements.....I fly the plane. It is interesting way to some, boring to others, but people should really learn to fly before the stage where they use autopilot 80% of the time. Just my 2¢. -
Information Overload! Too many ground targets!
Kameni replied to MonsterZero's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Usually on squad web sites, respectively, or (some sites are down at the moment) in the mission briefing when you click on server in list. -
Uhm... I don't think that chimnies are modelled so that they actually have a hole. It would explode on touching the top of it.

Su-25T Uncontrollable After Using Autopilot
Kameni replied to MonsterZero's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
You people sound confusing :D When autopilot is engaged it trims the plane. When you disengage autopilot - it does NOT return trims to default position, so you have to do it yourself. Ctrl+T does not work for Su25T. Advice: Do not touch the stick too much, or the trim controls, while autopilot engaged. Do not engage autopilot in low altitudes. Do not disengage autopilot in low altitudes. And above all - try to use autopilot as less possible :P -
getting rid off murder messages online?
Kameni replied to 9.JG27 DavidRed's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Advice: When watching track (or even playing) press Left Ctrl + Scroll Lock. It will show you FPS and number of seconds in the upper left corner. You can, that way, note the time of events you want to record and when watching tracks - fast forward to the point in time you want to. It's somewhat easier to organize yourself that way. -
After all, the main part is Q1: Rescript hangars so it does not rain or blow inside of them. Please :)

I realise that already, but IDK if it is countered in real life systems. Would it happen in real life - is my question :) Because I realise that wind would "lie" to the airspeed indicators. I know that, but it is a bit foolish to go on runway and have side wind HELP you take off faster. Somethin' isn't right. It is not 6 o clock wind. Set your dynamic weather pressure difference to 10000 and try to take off in different headings. Set it to 10000 to have a full feeling of what I'm talking about.

River landing sucessful. (there is a point to this)
Kameni replied to LexiconG2's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I think you need to correct your signature, sry for the off-topic, but imagine that config with 2GB hard disk :D -
First of all: Please try to script somehow that wind does not affect a plane that is in hangar. I got a situation tonight where my plane turned and hit the wall before I have had a chance to start engines and get hydraulic pressure - thus leaving me no option to counter the wind. Second: Is it realistic that plane reads out speed of 60kmph when it is standing still on runway just because the wind is very very strong (airspeed and stuff)? Then, again, if you make a strong wind - it helps you take off more easily because SIM reads out speed that is enough to takeoff, while it is visually clear that I am moving at half speed - even thou' it's a side wind. You have a problem with speed script. It would be nice to fix it so it works properly. If needed, I will provide a video during weekend (it's 1.30 AM now and I am too tired to record/convert/upload).

Edit town templates to remove trees?
Kameni replied to Pinkie_Button's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
And that *****ng tree on Novorosiysk!!! Damnit, who in all sanity would leave tree growing on the end of the runway?! XD It annoys me more than smoke and bugs in DCS. -
There are more stuff to do. Some more files have to be changed. I write to you here because it's crowded over there. Explosions must be modified as well, to cut off the frame rate drop when unguided missiles (rockets) are fired.
-
First of all>DeusOlympus: CPU calculates particle effects too, not all is up to GPU. Look at CPU as a clock, rather like the thing that gives rhytm to piano players, it consolidates speed between different hardware in your PC, other than calculating stuff your programs do.

I strive to that - realistic theater. No excessive repetitiveness...
-
By transfering solely on x64 OS's limitations that occure as a result of stuff made to support x86 systems will be gone. That is a posible YES for you friend :) Maybe not right away, but in time.

Radio Mayak Setup Enjoy :)
-
Well... We want to make something epic, which can get money for them aswell. If they don't see the opportunity in giving us support, their loss is greatest here. Even so, I am aware of the things you say, but my idea is and the one of main ingredients here are people willing to work on the project seriously and as much as their time allows them. TY for joining the discussion mate :)

It is a very interesting theater, since many wars took place in XX and XXI century. And yes, it is my idea to get to the point where theater would consist of EX-Yugoslavia countries Neighbour Countries to what was Yugoslavia before 1991. Italy (for 1999. NATO operations) ... We make Balkans Someone makes western Europe... Someone else north Europe... Get the picture? :) It is us who are to help DCS become best thing that ever happened to sim world :D
-
BTW, that is more recent theater of war in real life, many people know about it, and I believe they'll be interested in flying a detailed new-age theater which, guess what, coresponds with planes used in 1999. over Balkan. Mig29s Mig21 F18 F16 F15... With development of modules for DCS, Balkan Theater is the place to be. Question is, are we brave enough to cope the project for it's balls, pardon my saying :)
