Isn't EDGE been anounced? Even if it doesn't get "public", people can still make theater and submit it as a 3rd party development. You do 3d models in 3d model making program - said in english. You do textures in program made for that. When you make everything - then you convert it to format required by app. It is not like the EDGE is gonna be a open-source engine like cryengine or x-ray... And even there, you make models outside of it. Developers still do what they know how to, and convert those to sim-required file format. Am I right?

Hi all. Since we're all awaiting for the EDGE I am here to propose making a Balkan theater after it's release. I want to gather a team of people in time who will make this. As far as I am concerned, my skills (profesional) are based on Adobe program package, focused on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. I also have knowledge and expirience in other Adobe apps and raster/vector graphic. And learning new techniques and apps is not a problem. Plan is to make the ex-Yugoslavia states at the begining and then spread the theater to Italy eventually with constant updates to complexity of the theater over time. This would be a great project including a lot of work. Anyone interested in that?

Your FPS still drops, and Not all of us have a Titan Last time I checked, this is intended to be played on machines that are not brand-new-hardware-infested. But if you have a drop, imagine some of us...

Consider that fired weapons, their smoke, contain particles aswell. Regarding that the same people coded everyzhing zey probably did the same with all zi smokes. So all zi smokes and particle settings must be revamped. :)

Because when smoke is overlapping your GPU tries to render interaction between particles. AA, Tesselation...etc

Number of particles is also a big factor in rendering. I see that other people are aware of that as well. Look into that too, tnx :)

Yes it is, just maybe your PC is fit enough to cope with daylight. It is like the guy above me said - game processes everything.

If you have a pitch black screen - do you have frames "happening" - NO. So - the number of visible objects is smaler (pixels) to be rendered means less FPS, cause there are no Frames actually "happening". If you don't have lag when your FPS drop, then it's all fine. If you do - then you need more power in your PC :) (everyone does, it's never enough, thou)

In C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\ParticleEffects\effects Are the files that I've thought are particle settings. When you open those files - it's pretty much obvious what are parameters in there. But - you need to know what those specific numbers represent. So - you open the "readme" file that is on a same location. You get a file full of: Emitters = {--ѯ豮ê*½ì¨²â¥°î¢¬ â*¤à**î¬*᫳ç*¥ á**è¥*2å*®ã*¥é*¨ 们͊ { Name = "Fire1", --è¤¥í²¨ä¨ªà²®à*½ì¨²â¥°à¬*í³¦å**â*«î¤*å�Š Texture = "DCSFireTex.png", --⥪Ჳà*¬ â±¥ ⥪Ჳà»*䮫æ*» å°*í¨²á¿*â*®\Bazar\ParticleEffects\textures So, I've tried to change encoding of the text in Notepad++ but nothing helps. It would be nice if ED - since it decided to provide the ReadMe, provide us with usable and readable ReadMe... So we can see what number represents what and tweak settings for ourselves, depending on our PC configs.

OK, here's a screenshot of loading the plane after it's selected in-game. As you see, the question is marked red. The red arrow, however, indicates that the same thing usually happens there as well. Now, is it possible that when sim loads cockpit (for example) it loads bunch of "underlayered" graphics that are not needed and are just junk left from development? If so, removing them is - optimisation. EDIT: By the way, it remarkably looks like underlaying layer in files used for creating skins. So maybe it's a forgotten left-over from making the cocpit skin? May look "unimportant" to someone, but loading those needs more resources in a critical moment of game, and the files itself are larger if layered and having large number of layers. It looks like bumpmaps, but IDK what is going on - need some clarification is the marked thing left-over junk from development or what?

You don't need to waste time on reactivating it, TV is enough to fire the missile, Laser will turn on by itself in the moment of releasing the vikhr. EDIT: Did not see the post above mine, sorry.

BTW: It helps to set your QNH to the value that coincides with the QNH of specific airport you're landing at :) In english: Set your altimeter to zero, based on a local pressure @airport. _ to decrease or + to increase Keystrokes are: Right Shift and - (not numpad keyboard) to decrease Right Shift and = to increase. -
And that becomes a problem in my case cause I want to assign X number of planes to an airport where X=Y where Y is number of parking spaces... But thanks for your answer mate :)

Lets say I want to put 19 aircrafts on a airfield, set as CLIENT but I want them to be parked on airfield if their slot is not used. Possible?

Any possibility of using a downed pilot as JTAC? I mean...when you eject, you can walk around...

By the way - if you make something that allows people to make addons for it - you are supposed to be there to answer questions. From the point of ED it may look like this: No foolish questions, but questions that will help those people make addons for YOUR platform, from which YOU will earn money, from which YOU will expand the network of users... Anything else is just a comunism. I've lived there. Don't need that again. Completely agreed.
