  1. You can certainly put the heels on the floor,I'm doing it that way. You just need to adjust the angle of the pedals until you feel comfortable. To use the break you need to use the whole foot though. You can make your own Footrests too,if you like to. The Footrests are held by 2 Screws. It's planed to release different Footrest designs, like a F16-style or Cessna-style etc. But when it will be aviable I don't know.
  2. The MFG's weight is under 5 Kilos, something like between 4-5 kg. Milan, the guy who makes and sells them, put some efforts in to stay below 5 kilos to keep the shipping costs down. Yes,they can be bolted to a Cockpit, there are 4 holes pre-drilled in the base plate already. I bolted mine to a Frame.
  3. Im using the MFG Pedals since August and can only recommend them. I can not compare them to Slaw Device pedals, which also are looking great and certainly are high quality also. But I can compare the MFG's to the Saitek Pro Pedals and the discontinued Simped Pedals. The Saiteks are all Plastic, although the Saitek Combat Pedals have metal footrests the internals are the same as the Pro pedals. The Saiteks are certainly better than no pedals at all. But overall I'm not much impressed by them, not saying it's a bad product though. After a short while something broke on the Screw where you can adjust the Tension, maybe I just had bad luck because I read nowhere else it happened to anyone. Could have been an easy fix,but I didn't even bother to repair it since the Simpeds where already on the Way. The Simpeds where a big step up from the Saiteks in overall quality and feel. They used Hallsensors instead of Potentiometers, but the Resolution of the Sensor was only slightly higher than the Pots on the Saitek. Still the accuracy was much better because of the wider Stance of the Pedals and the smoother movement. A Downside of the Simpeds was that there was a small Deadzone around the Center, something like 3-4% to each side. Hadn't noticed this on the Saiteks. Simpeds where a great product at their Time,no doubt. But the electronics where outdated already and the mechanical showed signs of wear after about 1 Year of heavy use,I used them for more than 2 years and it got not much worse though. Also the erconomics wheren't that great and I had to make my own Footrests for them to be more comfortable. Now the MFG's are a totally different league. There is no play anywhere, the axis moving is smooth and accurate and you don't hear any noises except maybe from the Spring when you listen for it. They are adjustable in almost any way you can think of. Starting from the Centering feel and springstrength of the mainaxis and the breaks to the angle of the Footrests. They are very sturdy built , they are not all metal but the material is very strong and without using heavy tools they won't break. Every part is exchangeable,so IF something will ever wear out it can be replaced easily. I rate the quality higher than my Warthog and the Customer support is very good.
  4. Hm,what about using cable ties to "shorten" the stock spring? I did it the hard way and just shortened the original Spring. I don't advice it though,I've been very lucky to just get it right for me.^^ The Stick returns to center even with an 10cm extension, but just a little shorter and it wouldn't. I'd try cable ties first before ordering a custom made spring.
  5. I think either of those Pedals is great. But the VBK ones are hard to get and I'm not certain if anything can be adjusted to your needs, like the MFG Pedals can. The other one is a very good looking set of Pedals and seems to be well built and adjustable in some aspects too. I haven't tried these to compare, though by the looks the centering mechanism is different...propably it gives a hard center. On the MFG Pedals you can change the centering profiles,it ships with 2 different ones. You can either have a well definied centering or a very soft one which is almost not noticable. And in the future there may be more different profiles aswell as Footplates in different styles which then can be bought seperatly.
  6. Vivoune I use those Pedals almost daily for a bit more than Month now. The built quality is excellent,I rate it even higher than the Warthog. The Material is very strong and sturdy and has nothing in common with wood. I doubt that anyone could break it using the bare Hands (or feet in that matter^^) Of course it can be broken using brute force and the right tools. But so can almost any other Material.
  7. If you can wait for a bit you should have a look at the MFG Crosswind Pedals made by a fellow Flightsimmer. The first batch of 10 has been delivered to the pre-ordering Customers. The next batch will be ready in the next 1 or 2 months or so. I'm using a set of these since about a week. I owned the Saitek pro pedals aswell as a set of Simped pedals, which are out of production for about a year. The MFG Pedals are a great piece of equipment. Smooth in movement,no play at all and very sturdy. You even can adjust almost everything to your own needs, like Springstrength and the angles of the Footrest. And it uses very precise Hallsensors. It's not even remotely comparable to the Pedals I was using before. Infos can be found here at SimHQ http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3829796/12 Or at the official Site http://mfg.simundza.com/
  8. Unfortunaly there are not many options anymore since Simpeds stopped production. However if you are ready to wait for something like 3 or 4 Weeks you should have a look at this set of Pedals made by a fellow Simmer. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3782056/Rudder_pedals_prototype_1_poss#Post3782056 He has also a Website aviable since Yesterday http://Http://mfg.simundza.com
  9. Open the TARGET Script Editor and click on Device Analyzer. Click on the icon on the upper left corner to change to other devices like the Throttle,or the MFD's if you have them installed.
  10. Maybe the Stick isn't calibrated properly anymore. You can see if thats the case when you open up TARGET Script Editor and click on Device Analiyzer. If it's off center you can use the TM Calibration tool found here at post #36 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=65901&highlight=TM+calibration+tool&page=4
  11. The lights on my Throttle stays off even after a reboot. I have set the LED Slider to the full left (0) and left the "Enable LED Backlight" enabled. I remember that the LED's turned back on after every Reboot, but lately I got this USB Hub http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B000KY7VY4/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 And it seems to have done the Trick. No garanty if it works for everyone though. I got all my controllers plugged into the Hub,so all slots are used. No Idea if this has something to do with it.
  12. The small twist in the Stick is normal,it's just the way it's designed. If you see pictures of the inside of the stick you will see that it's basicly a larger half cup jointed over a smaller half cup. You can see it here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=62564 As for the buttons, yes some of the knobs on the throttle can be a bit rotated to left and right. On my throttle its the Flaps and all of the 3 below the 4 way switch on the right Throttle.
  13. You could have a look at these too. http://www.schreinerschmid-web.homepage.t-online.de/Home/1,000000117204,8,1 However ,the Pedals have been announced not long ago I think and it may take a while until they are ready to order.
