For 16 euros is worth to try. Connector seems exactly the same. -
TrackIR wireless clip battery replacement
LordOrion replied to LordOrion's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Surpirse! Looks what I found on Amazon: https://www.amazon.it/Batteria-ricaricabile-elettronici-sostituzione-incorporata/dp/B0CP24PYGY Looks really similar to the one I had... -
TrackIR wireless clip battery replacement
LordOrion replied to LordOrion's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Unfortunately the battery is really gone: I've connected to to the charging cable and measured the voltage wich seems to be ok (approx 5Volts). However, I left it charing the whole night and once disconnected the voltage was back to less than 4Volts. I've removed the silver envelopment: still no markings but a strange stink... I gave up at this point, I will buy another clip asap. -
TrackIR wireless clip battery replacement
LordOrion replied to LordOrion's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I won't open the silver envelopment now (better do it tomorrow with the light), here is a detail (fron and back) of the circuit: connections seems to be ok: My multimeter says there are 3.88Volts between the 2 metallic strips that goes into the silver envelopment, but the same voltage is present between the soderings of the red/back cables and at the top of the connector to the clip socket. Looks like the battery might be still good after all... -
TrackIR wireless clip battery replacement
LordOrion replied to LordOrion's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I did but, as you can see below, the situation does not change too much (no markings), apart for the fact that I found there is a small circuit on the battery top (voltage regulator for recharge?). Looks like this is a custom made/modified battery for the purpose. -
After 5 years of honored service the battery of my wireless TrackIR IR led clip (which actually is a wireless clone of the official IR led clip) has decided to "retire" and can't be charged anymore. The clip itself still works in wired mode: I can buy a new one on Amazon, but before paying 60+ euros for a new clip I wander if it is possible to find a replacement for the battery... anyone know what kind of battery could fit it? I took a pic of the dismountetd battery (actually it was just taped to the clip), no other markings that the one you see:

Same here, order #2242028 of 03/19/2025 23:19:37 completed but then disappeared from my account. -
The surprise worked perfectly Great campaing so far (as usual)

It means that the level of realism of that module looks to be "questionable".

Flown again the mission this night and made it this time: the secret was to simply try lower the gear a couple of times so that the failure dialogue trigger kicks in. Case closed!
-
Yes, it was too late (already landed), but I saw that dialogue and the following ones (I actually gave up and exited the mission while the protagonist's voice said he didn't have the checklist with him).
-
Ok, I've finally began the campaign: after the tutorial mission, I diligently followed the flight plan for mission 1: flight level, speed, formation etc... everything according to the plan and orders. Anchored in the correct spot, I waited my turn maintaining altitude and 250 knots. When the time came, I turned towards the H4 base and correctly aligned with runway 10 and flew the approach descending gently from 5000 feet and slowing down. Correctly asked the permission to land at 5Nm and lowered the landin gear lever... Kept the flight path marker on the edge of the runway, slowing down and trying to keek the AoA indicator on the green marker... Almost at the touch down... why I'm stiill so fast? Let's extend the airbrake! Touchdown... something is worng: the nose fallen down too early and too fast... and there are stange vibrations from the plane belly! ... The landing gear... Did I check the landing gear lights? Obviously not, otherwise I would have noticed that the gear is blocked and did not come down... I just landed on my belly! Well, I've just failed at the intro mission... my ego hurts so much
-
I love the Jeff, but honestly speaking: is simply too good to be real, (and I'm not the only one who think that).
-
You should also feel some vibration at low speed.
-
Exacly: 3 different planes for slightli different type of tasking. Own all of them: triple the fun!

I was tempted to ask for a refund at first, especially since the "situation" had killed all the enthusiasm I had for the module. But after mulling it over for a few days I decided to wait till the end and see how it goes before decide if ask for a refund or not: the Mudhen is a damn good module and I hope for a good outcome.

Think I need a good tutorial to understand how that thing fly...
LordOrion replied to LordOrion's topic in DCS: AH-64D
Looks like that's exaclty what I need! Also: l found I had Pedal trim mode set to "PEDALS WITHOUT SPRING and FFB"... that migh explain the "wild horse" behavior I've noticed... -
Premise: I have 35+ years of experience in fixed wing but just less than one hundred hours of flight with rotary wing, (on Jane's Longbow 2, which is an almost 30 years old game). I've started my OCU with the AH-64 and well, I'm having huge problems just getting it to fly straight, without constantly drifting to the right. I think I need some tutorial which explain the basics on Apache handling, including the trim behavior, which to me seems to make thing worse instead of help. Any suggestion? Thank you in advance.
