Yeah a laser Mav is similar to a smart weapon, in that you can put it through a specific window, etc, wherever the laser is, similar to other smart weapons vs. A contrast or image lock with other Mavs that just hit the general area. Their very good on ships if you wanted to say, destroy a specific container or hit a specific area.

It's a semi known issue with a 50/50 split of it happening to people. Best solution I have read is to drop 5-10 seconds early, and they seem to hit. Not yet on the official bug list.

I love my A10c and the auto lase function. Can't wait till we see it on the 18, will save my hand cramping holding down the trigger on the Warthog.

1/1 or 2/X/X is the format, so you have a pretty high number to choose from.

Give it a lase squirt so the computer can figure out the 3d point in space, or you'll be shooting long or short.

And that's the problem. I can fire them off like candy, but he can't, even holding the button in. Why I was wondering if there was some setup with the radar we were missing, but I figured even in STT on our Russian Bear trainer map shoukd let him. We have an awacs with data link, he's even gone and hooked/manually designated target as hostile, but no luck. So was hoping someone who uses a live back seater coukd try for me and confirm it's working and we're just 8up.

Yup, have everything including Phoenix set and ready to fire up front, just seems he never gets the light on the push button back there. The only video I've seen them being fired from the back was when someone was jumping back and forth using Jester/Iceman

Is it impossible for the back seater to fire the Phoenix with a Live pilot, or is my RIO just missing something in the target lock/radar/missile setup, as the Phoenix button doesn't even light up for him when he has a target locked in STT mode. Thanks All!

Me and my buddy did this today, each carrying 4 JSOW with bomblets. All I can say is, God looked down at that site, and said FU to that spot in general by the time the last explosion ended.

My buddy served on the KItty Hawk, Independence, and one other non nuke carrier. I know he's hoping to see a non nuke CV with full functionality in game, would add a great feel to it.

Snoopy, your weapon mods are what really brought life to the A10c for me, and would love to see updated models for DCS 2.5 if you ever get motivated!

The TGP on the A10c is nicely molded, although many have been replaced with the sniper pod now. The biggest trick is to remember the side of your plane carrying the pod, and make your turn/approach depending on target type in a way that won't mask the laser any of the average 30 second fall time.

Hell, Id be glad to pay for a DLC that gave us the D variant if we already owned rhe A/B without even batting an eye.

It's still doable, just use the rocker switch, I bound it to my paddle, to switch waypoints fast:

Beefier GPU for DCS all the way, and possibly look into a new monitor (144/2k) if your still running 1080p/60fps
