It should on the newer models and pods that use "gun cam" recordings. Some nations also use tv guidance to steer their missiles in, similar to a long range tow after the initial guidance from the aircraft becomes less usefull than its seeker head. There are also laser guided mavericks, but because of some airforce limitations, along with the sim limitations, what we have now is a good compromise. Fire off your Maverick then switch over to TGP where you had the target zoomed in and marked. Pull back a little, and it will give you the feel at least of a TV sensor, like we saw on some Paveways going through windows and down A/C shafts from footage of the first Gulf War. -

The mavericks actually are good at 20 plus miles, I just don't think the A10c, or at lest the pods we currently have modeled, and of course game physics, will allow the shots to be much longer than the 8-10 we have now for ground weapons. Will be interesting to see if all missiles get a revamp and balance with the F18, F14, and Harrier all coming out Soon -

Unchecked and still same problem in 2.1. Cleared out everything, literally everything, even the keyboard keys to fly, trim, rudder, etc, and still goes left the second the fame starts, even with no power, yet 1.5 works great, no problems at all. -

Turn off V-Sync and uninstall Windows 10 creator content if you have it. From there, in 2.1 just turn off deferred shading, and set your graphics settings for 1.5 in game to match your control panel, and in 2.1 turn off your in game settings and force through Nvidia CP. Also make sure your running the game on an SSD. These tips, plus that hardware, and you'll be good to go between 45-60 FPS in 4k. -

I would love to be the boom operator in a good VR setup, glass in your face, the earth below whizzing by, that dot closing in, without you and your skill their only option is to ditch.... Granted you'd need a good pilot to get that heavy beast off the ground, and help match speeds.

Yes people say it's limited and doesn't carry spamraam, but as the sim builds, and combined arms hopefully gets a good working into it, wouldn't all you future Hornet pilots love a mission where the F-117s go in and knock out Sam's and radar, while the Combined arms guys on radar are trying to get a lock on a humming bird, or firing and Hoping for a splash, or seeing if blue commander sends them on the same path flight after flight.... Plus, who doesn't love TV and laser guided Bombs? Youtube replay and ad cash baby. Then while we're (the F117 flight) leaving, as Red fighters are closing in on the explosions and going radar blind save for on board, the Tomcat Team engages from range with phoenix, knocking out that wave as the F18s soar into the Red Zone now, engaging the last of the fighter defense as they desperately try to respawn, only for the F18s carrying heavy ordinance blast them on the runway, and finally deliver a bunker busters that kills the enemy team captain in his airport bunker. The whole while the Harriet's and Viggen sank the Red cruisers, and destroyed tanks and other support vehicles from the opposite direction, using their HARMS to open the hole for the A10s on ground duty mop up armor and and low flying helicoptes trying to get the last brass out of harms way.

I worked at NASA for 21 years as an engineer on the shuttles, and management of Atlantis post Columbia. Your landing screen from the 1st page is spot on team, as we used a combination of HUD technology and landing profiles from the B1 and F-14 (Do to her size and weight, she landed like a shuttle) when we installed the first HUD in the shuttles. The first few Commanders that flew the shuttle were bad ass, as they didn't have a HUD on landing, but went off looking down at instruments and gut feel. It's been a long time, but I know we had the HUD pre built into Challenger, and I think Columbia had hers added before or at STS-7.

Yeah it's checked. I'll try unchecking it on 2.1 before I go to try some new graphics mods I just put in on 1.5 tomorrow. -

Any one got advice on texture Mods? The example gave some good advice, but the texture mods I want to install are texture pack name/world/then shapes and textures folders. Any tips on how to install this would be much Appreciated! -

This! I've driven myself bonkers trying to work on settings, and even taking apart and cleaning my hotas. But still was doing it, yet 1.5 works like a charm. -

I know an a former Nighthawk pilot that now Flys the F-22. He would beg to differ. From what little we talked about (as in could talk about other than missions), the Nighthawk was one hell of a bird. All her computers did was help with the fly by wire commands in stability. You still had to manually fly around enemy aircraft with search radars on, and avoid multiple types of Sam sites from various headings, heights, etc. Then on target you still had to find it, lase it, and drop your weapons, all the while getting the hell out of dodge, plus aerial refueling I was told was a mission in itself. The final version was also all glass cockpit, making it even easier to use. The hard part would actually be adding in the correct amount of stealth, while giving enemies bonus to attack while using triangulation radars/ECM detection, and adding the natural instability to the airframe based on its shape. As to simming the flight data and characteristics, just put in the American A7 Corsair, full weight, but maximum engine performance and turning ratios set to 85% of Mach 1. -
Would still love to see the F-117 added and either a Panama map or Yugoslavia map added next. With everything going on in the world, and multiple countries/air forces involved, you could do Syria, and everyone would have a legitimate ground or sea platform to launch from. There's also the Gulf where you kill 2 birds with one stone and do Iraq/Kuwait/Iran, even add in some Islands and oil platforms. Of course end game open map for pve/pvp would be Afghanistan, particularly eastern Afghanistan for either ground target assaults, danger close missions, drone missions, or PVP up high, or around mountains and diving into canyons. Could be set Soviet 80s or modern day.

The TACAN for the Shuttle runways 15/33 had to range out a minimum of 180 miles on a bad day, but we could sometimes get 280 to 300 with perfect weather (both Earth and Solar). (Retired NASA engineer/manager for Atlantis) Edit: Texted my Tower/Radar buddy, TACAN maximum official range is 460 nautical miles.

Yeah the auto is ok, but setting profiles based on mission type are the best. Sams, drop flares and turn into the sun. Radar/milli wave just pop those chaffs and corkscrew towards the ground, as the solid rocket motors on most opposing force Sams can't angle back down without a breakup or radar loss/self destruct. (In the real world anyways) ☺

Did a forum search but did not bring back conclusive results. Is the HARM currently in game, or any plans to add it? I think playing a SAM site vs a friend carrying the weapon with the combined arms module could be hours of fun all by itself.
