  1. Worked all night with groups from the Microsoft and reddit communities, even replaced the dll file. Everything points to a problem with a call from the DCS launcher. None of the cmd prompts work for updates, repairs, clean, etc. It won't even let me roll back. Thoughts, anyone? Accepting wild guesses at this point since I can't even start the game. Thanks!

God I wish I understood modern programming languages, lua, etc. Have huge ideas for the perfect campaign, but can't for the life of me do anything other than put down static, or airborne assesets. Would love to have a map that was more living, where enemy bases would launch a plane everything you shot one down, while AI ships engaged each other protecting the Stennis, etc, How do you even know where to start learning thus stuff (for someone pushing 50 but builds the hardware side of pc's).
  4. I'm using the comms hat since it also has push button for "lock" on my Warthawg. It's working out really nice, then have radar up/down over on joystick. With this new configuration, my air to air has become solid, even with sparrows now.
  5. You didn't have to deal with lag hopping lol. On a small server with 2-3 players and no asserts it's not bad, but on the mega servers even with 16gb ram and 150/25 cable myself and others will hop a little on the deck, and us a pain right as you go for hookup, and if your side by side on the front cats, no turn around room.
  6. Will they be adding "pushback" vehicles for when you either overshoot out of error or lag past it while lining up on a heavy MP server?
  7. I had a sparrow pull up beside the F5, knock on the window, ask directions, and kept on going without detonating. Target refused to show back up on radar after that so had to go to afterburner and close and use sidewinders.
  8. Low islands to fly fast and low through. Can't wait to set up a modern war scenario there. Pop up, Harm's away, drop back down into the channel, scratch one Sam site.
  9. I've found the only current work around to this until ED is able to focus more on it is to keep your nose pointed dead on the enemy aircraft. It seems the code for the semi-active radar of the sparrow is where the bug lies, but I'm near 100% hit rate if I let the missile ride my nose beam in.
  10. Thanks Razor, this happened to me and my buddy as well, having his nose cone inside my pilots back left a mark lol.
  11. I just tried it, and it seems to work ok with a dead zone of about 1/4 the movement, which sucks, but it gets squirrely under that.
  12. Is this a known bug? After placing a unit and clicking payload, it takes up to 10 minutes for the payload screen to appear, sometimes it never does and just locks up the client.
  13. I have 16gb and can run everything on max with a 1080ti.
  14. Can confirm, it's broken in single and Multi-player.
  15. Yeah it does. My favorite way to get off 6 bombs on 6 targets in one run.

Thanks Asker, found and tried that suggestion, but can't get them to fire, and I've been ripping my hair out for 4 hours molding everything under actions/commands, etc, creating new units, the works. Was told there was a pre-made s300 template, but I've never used those, looking up video how took now.
  19. Asking as I want to set up a SA-10 site, and I know it consists of at least 4 units. How do you make sure they are all seen as "1 unit" by the mission editor to function. Thanks gorgeous the help, and sorry if thus is a basic answer question, but not quite sure how to phrase my Google search.

  25. Thanks for replying all, I can do 7 minute fast start right now, Single player is fine, but I'm one of the unlucky memory leak players so the faster I get airborne in MP the more time I get before Windows says sorry buddy, I'm not your pal, pal. The rest of that memory is mine-crash- lol.
