  1. Search field. Sometimes, when I only have general idea what I'm looking for and / or don't know in which category is it, I export settings to html file and use CTRL+F. Not a big deal, I almost always have browser open in the background, unless it's one of those troublesome builds (like 1.2.8 beta). And it's not like I have to change settings every day :)
  2. For me performance is worse (r9 290), 5-10fps In mustang, I had 32fps on the airfield, now 26 on the same settings. In Mi-8 I have drops to 14fps. I had drops to 20fps before.
  3. No pedals, so easy on the throttle.. p51-forum-takeoff.trk
  4. Both are great. I'd say Mi-8 offers more, but I think you should start with huey. It's more polished and easier to learn.
  5. You started at 8:15 and after 30 min you were still idling with cooling set on auto and with time acceleration enabled. You overheated the engine.
  6. I prefer 25T. Feels a bit like 'heavy metal', and that cabin gives it a better look.
  7. ...ends 11th March http://store.steampowered.com/app/65730/
  8. I'm hoping you are painting nice "buy beta" button on the main page.
  9. I found my coupon in "User support/my tickets"
  10. My approach to a-10c was something like this: 1. I want to fly right away, but it's overwhelming. 2. No tutorials (to much information and key bindings at once). Just free flight mission ("single missions" for A-10c) with aircraft on the runway, rady to go. No weapons. I just need takeoff, landing speed, flaps, landing gear. Just flying around. Ok, it's easy. Nice, forgiving aircraft. Getting bored, need more. 3. How to fire it up from cold & dark state - interactive lesson or youtube. Ok, got it. I can do it every time whithout help. Fly around as a reward. 4. Shoot stuff. Interactive lessons. Rightful anger against defensless targets. 5. CDU - oh, boy... After months, you still learn something new. KA-50 more less the same (fly around, start it up, shoot), but you need to know from the start about the trimmer and autopilot. Maybe stand-alone Su-25: DCS Flaming Cliffs would be interesting for you. It's older version of the aircart (simpler avionics and weapons), but newer model in the game - beatiful 6DOF cockpit, shadows and it is a bit faster.
  11. AFM - Advanced Flight Model. Su-25 and A-10A have it, fighters don't (it's in development). It spoils the fun on take-offs and landings (also taxiing), but when you are in the air, it's not such a big deal, especially if you are more interested in shooting stuff. And Su-27 and F-15 are beatifully modeled. For me flying (feel of flight) and learning how to use all those switches (in full DCS modules) is most importand part. Killing stuff is on the second place.
  12. All of them have campaigns and a few single missions. Just bought FC3. Really nice jets, but I don't like how they fly (fighters). I'm hoping they will release AFM soon. I already had standalone Su-25: DCS Flaming Cliffs and loved every bit of it.
  13. Go back to briefing (L_ALT+B), click "back" (bottom of the screen) and you can select another aircraft. AI will take over the one you were flying. But if you were one the ground in "unusual" place, AI may do do some stupid thing.
  14. I like flying it more than the a10. Instant buy.
  15. Whole mi-8 is "round", so probably 3d model must be complex, to look good. Maybe, in time, they will optimize it with some tricks.
  16. From SU-25 Manual (p.75):
  17. I thought it was 135 mph
  18. Mi-8 can go faster: http://youtu.be/kBoxuksyXV0?t=4m40s
  19. Tried this mission today. Climbs easily. Deicing enabled, fuel 30%. I also recomend other sightseeing missions for huey, like "Zero Dark Thirty" or from campaign, 'en_UN-Pilot_03"
  20. So, FSX is not playable on 13.10 beta?
  21. Feels like a slap to supporters. This is rediculous. Are they sinking?
