Hi everyone, I would like to know what setting(s) affect the model of the missiles? On the lowest settings so far right now except for textures set to high, the models of the AIM-120s are square. The resolution of this computer is 1366x768 and it's the resolution that DCS set to. EDIT: I should also mention that this seems to only happen with the 120s and 7s. Sideys don't seem to be affected, their model is still proper, although I haven't checked any of the Russian missiles yet. This is my friend's laptop so I have somewhat limited access to it.

yeah must have been pretty devastating for all of that to happen to your aircraft within seconds, also knowing ejecting would probably be very futile since you are at very high speeds. RIP MP.

Well interesting then... how did NASA or even just the airforce get the plane up to 2.5+ Mach? I'm pretty sure that at those speeds even at really high altitudes, IAS is much above 800 knots...

How so? I'm pretty sure the hydraulic systems in modern planes are pretty rugged? In what ways will you lose control surfaces? Physically ripping off?!

Also, just a random point, not sure if anyone did this before but if you go at suuuper high speeds (M 2+) and then just dive down to sea level, if you are still well over 1.5, the aircraft will start to wiggle REALLY badly and start yawing from side to side... it's the rudder CAS trying to correct the flight but it keeps over correcting and eventually it will get so much that you'll just about depart or black out lol. If you turn off rudder CAS however, the problem goes away. Just an interesting note on the 15's FM

Interesting... but obviously not as scientific and not as controlled. Also interesting that you say aim-7 as well because from what i've seen, if the target aircraft is anywhere near the ground and i'm pointing anywhere near the ground, as soon as that sparrow leaves the rail, it goes absolutely stupid. Fully locked on in STT and it just goes stupid. I don't know how to cure the disease.

Oh, they listen to us, but consider how long it takes for them to develop it. Of course they want to be able to provide the stuff like this, but it's really hard for them because obviously they are already working on lots of other stuff and also once again, because of military classification we can't get all the data and information to make a full-on proper sim like the a-10.

Personally,i would also love to have an F-16C, but I would like to see at least the F-15C get a clickable or 15E before the 16s

As far as I know, it's possible. You guys just have to agree on the laser code. The one dropping the bomb will enter the laser code through the weapons profile or inventory (one of those, I don't remember) and the person lasing has to set laser code in the TGP controls.

I totally see what you mean, everyone has their own tastes. There are people out there talking about planes that i literally have no idea about... and then there's those bunch that are looking forward to an ME262...etc. everyone has their own tastes! If only in a perfect world, there was a module for EVERY PLANE we wanted :D

After they finish harrier, they will work on the a-7 corsair and THEN they plan on doing the 15e. What's holding them up is for ED to develop a ground radar

i believe we are getting the 15E after the a-7 :D i'm a 15e fan so i don't know about you but I'm just waiting on the dark grey killing machines

Personally, I just started to do some instant action missions or mission generator missions so I can test myself against things that I don't know about (some SAMs or AAA or stuff) and I try to get familiar with how to set up with the aircraft quickly, searching for target, working with JTAC...etc.

We've GOT to get him to try out DCS!
