    agreed.. more modules of aircraft within the current theater of operations would be good and would allow for fun and more realistic scenarios. the only flyable for georgia is the su-25 and 25T which is a pain. lz-39? the f-16 for turkey would be good. an su-24 would also be good as i think its still in service with the ukraine and russia?
  3. why not? how could anyone be against a a commercial aircraft modeled in DCS? i mean.. its not like they are a direct threat to you. if anything it would only bring more customers. im sure there are plenty of scenarios that could involve these aircraft given the right circumstances. the only problem i can see with it is that developers might spend more time on these aircraft instead of a developing a multirole fighter which we gravely need. other than this i have no problems with a military transport or the like.. also.. mirage would be cool. would be great if some aircraft used by all nations in the current theater end up being modeled. it would allow for more mission possibilities in terms of back story.

  7. had a few ideas 1. airborne unit or part airborne coalition inside zone trigger. 2. being able to see placed static objects on the map such as buildings so you can see how they will look in the game without having to go in and out of the game. 3. triggers to allow clients to take control of uncontrolled planes on the taxiway. or the option to have clients planes already on the taxiway and perhaps the mission option in the briefing disappears and it is no longer flyable when destroyed? (this way the resource is already used up) also planes could be destroyed in their respective hangers also to the same effect) 4. more triggers in general, more random triggers so people don't have to learn lua just to make a half decent mission. how about a trigger that does 1 of 6 different things? and maybe if you could set the individual % chance on which of these 6 events that could occur? 5. destructible map objects or the means to make map objects destructible such as bridges. i'm sure some of this stuff could probably be done with scripting,lua or a mod of some kind but id prefer it if they just added the extra triggers. thanks..
  8. Is there a way we can have a client flight group already visible on the taxiway before the mission starts? I've thought of numerous ways to do it including using static objects to resemble these planes until the group is activated then remove the statics except there seems to be no way to use a trigger to remove a static unit. Also it would not take the plane from a runways resources. What I really want is to have the aircraft visible start on the taxiway from the very start of the mission. The flight group is then only available to the client when an enemy aircraft enters a zone to create a ground alert intercept task. Something like this could add a lot of depth to a mission. Sorry if this has been asked before but I have to know. Thanks

  10. What about the mission editor? The mission editor could be better. A few more triggers etc so I don't have to learn LUA just to make a decent mission? :cry:
  11. Ensure you have heading hold turned off. Its a blue square button on the righthand side of your right leg.
  12. Uncontrolled Check Box? Where is this uncontrolled check box I keep hearing about? I want to have a flight group pre-start but then only taxi to the runway after a certain trigger. The idea is to have planes there the whole time as opposed to having them appear out of nowhere. It would also be interesting to have a client group activate after the same conditions are met to create a ground alert intercept scenario. There seems to be no way to de-activate A.I. flight groups - only ground forces. Also I looked at using static objects to resemble these aircraft and then activate a group when the conditions are met except there is no way to remove static objects with the use of triggers it seems.   15. i'm not sure if this is something mentioned in a previous post but i've noticed that some static objects used as targets in a mission i created cannot seem to be destroyed. does anyone else have this problem? at the moment i am using static object called "barracks 2" which is under structures. i watched a friend in a ka-50 shoot it with 20 rockets but it would not be destroyed. also i used combined arms to use tanks in an attempt to shell the buildings. it seems some could be destroyed while others could not. did i miss something? :helpsmilie:
  16. some say the F-35a will be unrealistic or unbalanced... I for one welcome our new lockheed martin overlords. :D simply put.. the people who want to buy the module will and these who think its unbalanced or unrealistic can just not put it in their mission. im excited about this.. mainly because i know australia is purchasing some of these. even if it wasnt a flyable i would at least like to see A.I version of newer gen aircraft like these.:thumbup:

  19. Hi everyone, recently got myself an x52 pro and have been spending a great many hours carefully deciding what to bind where. Need to know if there is a way to bind a toggle switch or button to cycle keys. Ie: Pushing one button repeatedly to toggle keys 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 so that every push would activate a different key to access NAV, BVR and additional modes. Or using an axis, slider or wheel to achieve a similar result? I was going to use the toggle switches for each mode. Ie: T1 button= key 1 (nav) T2 button = key 2 (BVR) etc. but unfortunately there are only 6 toggle switches and the modes extend past the 7 key for ground mode. If anyone has any ideas or can point us in the right direction would be sweet. :noexpression: Cheers

Solved turns out the problem was at my end. after a lot of mucking around I found this. http://bitsum.com/about_cpu_core_parking.php i did not bother installing this ParkControl64 from this site but after reading briefly about CPU parking i went to my power saving options. under processor power management i set minimum processor state from 5% to 100%. now i'm averaging over 60fps. apparently setting your minimum state to 5% means only ever use 5% of your max processor potential. who would have guessed? thanks guys.. :noexpression:
  22. no, no mirrors.. infact im starting to think that this isnt only just a DCS problem but also a problem with my actual setup. in the process of reinstalling os to make sure its not software/driver related. :(
