NeilWillis is correct. Women have amazing curves. Seriously though, his statement is correct. The curves really make a huge difference to your ability to control the axis of the aircraft in smaller increments when performing tasks such as AA refueling and formation flying. The throttle curves allow for a more accurate control at speeds required for the same tasks. Give them a try and you'll see what I mean. Its a huge part of being able to perform the tasks. A couple guys in my squad are pilots/boom operators/etc and they have helped us with the proper "feel" of the aircraft we fly as well as exceptional points such as the 3 fingers (two fingers and a thumb) on the stick to allow for better control. Its what made all the difference for me.

You'll need some good curves on your stick and use 3 fingers. A constant back and forth on the throttle also helps. Very small movements to keep airspeed. We have some general curves on our website in the gallery. Link below.

I certainly will second CH Products. My Combat stick/pro throttle/pro pedals combo was excellent and lasted for years. This was back in the serial port days. The only reason I got rid of them was because they weren't USB.

Yes TM is thrust master. The main ones are Saitek which Logitech just bought, CH products or TM. There's Few others but the price is similar to TM.

I only had issues with ghosting when using Teamspeak but there is a very simple fix for that withing the teamspeak settings. I have never had an issue with the ergonomics of the X-55 and can't understand what the problem is. I am not a guy with large hands by any means. I would never suggest a 3D Pro over an X-55. The usability of the X-55 for every module you can purchase for DCS is excellent. Now, lets talk about Win10 drivers. I did have issues there but never before. I believe that has been addressed but I'm not sure because I did buy a TM setup. Is TM better, yes, but its twice the price as well. If your trying to maintain a budget, the X-55/56 is a good investment that will last you years. Mine has.

I'd still go into the UI Layer settings and set a key to your HOTAS. Makes life much easier.

I'd go for a SH-60 for SAR but I don't know if I'd buy the others. Maybe the Super Stallion.

From what I have read the 1070 will do the job as cichlidfan stated. I believe at this point we have more of a software issue than a hardware problem.

I had GTX780s in SLI. There is no advantage in DCS.

I never build missions in VR unless its a 2 second drop a couple planes in kinda thing. Maybe they'll do it anyway, who knows.

Personally I'd never use it because the interface would either be using the mouse which takes a very long time to do, and combinations would be impracticable, or use the VR headset and look at each key with a mouse click associated to the HOTAS. Also very slow and impracticable. The time I spend on that I could easily add what is needed to a DWVAC or Voice Attack profile.

Never needed with voice comms.

I could get 45 FPS with a GTX780 when the Rift first came out. I see no reason you won't be able to handle the sim with a 970.
