I don't get it - if I do not own FC3 - do I get to purchase and fly the A-10A and Su-25A? And another thing - could someone upload the new UH-1H manual and provide a link to downloading it (unless it violates copyright rules, of course)? Thanks for the update and keep them coming! P.S. I own UH-1H - it's just that i want to read the docs before i get a chance to download the update from my home computer.

It is a good rule of thumb not to run anything intensive in the background and even if you do - that leaves an extra core free (2 for DCS and 1 for background processes). Come to mention it - HT is not extra cores, it's just the ability to utilize certain functional blocks of a single core for different use simultaneously and that is not always feasible. Since DCS is not really all that capable of multi-threading, HT in i7 will be useless, at least until DCS learns to utilize more than 2 cores. The bigger cache in i7 should provide a frame rate increase, however I think that the money would be better spent on a faster video card. Happy upgrading :-) P.S. Even if EDGE happens to work well with multi-core processors, I would still think that a better video card would provide more of a frame rate increase than an i7, though I could be wrong, since very little is known about it (EDGE).

Может быть сейчас у них что-то и изменилось, но мне хватило Дня Победы, как первого, так и второго - перевод слово в слово, смысл искажен до неузнаваемости - если это ручной перевод, то Промпту надо памятник ставить. Я был бы только рад если бы они качественно локализовывали, но мне, пока, с 1С в этом плане не везет... P.S. Мой опыт мучений с локализациями от 1С подсказывает, что лучше уже играть в английскую версию со словарем... Промптовские переводы подстрочником способны убить любую атмосферность игры и исказить любой смысл сказанного. Исключительно мое ИМХО. P.S. Видел тему где народ мануал UH-1H сам переводит - глядишь и будет качеcтвенная локализация :-)

Ok, thanks, I'll try turning on the laser next time i attempt a bombing run. I still do not understand why all of my bombs keep giving me the CCRP mode and not CCIP - is there a way to switch them?

Here is a track file of me trying to land -don't judge it harshly - at first I missed the runway, then overshot it and then got rid of the chute too erly by mistake, however there is no glide slope error circle anywhere during approach - what am I doing wrong? Landing.trk

For unguided bombs? 8-() Guided bombs work fine, but it's the unguided ones that I suck at using...

I've tried that, but it gives me only the joystick settings nonetheless... I can't seem to make a screenshot to prove it though...

It has a Mapping and Preset buttons, though I am not sure how to use them - I'll try to find out how it is programmed and see.

Sorry - I will record one next time I attempt to land- but I am flying training missions and I assume that the navigation mode brings me to the right airfield... I do manage to land most of the times, especially if I remember to use the chute, however I really think it should be easier than wildguessing a proper approach... By the way - do I understand it correctly that when on the ground, the rudder controls become the nose wheel steering controls? I mean Z and X. The reason I'm asking is because I have virtually no success steering the plane if I get of the runway while landing...

I have a Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS X joystick. I already understand that it has very few buttons, however I still hope to use it, because I am not really ready to pay 480 $ for a Warthog... though I'm getting closer by the day ;-))) One thing I am missing with my joystick is to bind the left/right trim to the tilting lever on the throttle instead of the rudder, because it is duplicated by the Z axis of the stick. However, the Axis submenu in Controls does not list trim at all - is there a way of doing this or axis controllers cannot be bound to nonaxis functions altogether?

Every time I land I expect to see a Glide Slope Error Circle (as is stated in the Su-25T manual), which I am supposed to align with the Director circle in order to come in for a perfect landing. However - every time I have to land absolutely clueless, because there is no such thing visible. The HUD is in Navigation mode (Key 1), flight mode says ПОС (Landing) - what am I doing wrong?

Please look at the enclosed .trk file and tell me what am I doing wrong? I align the CCRP circle with the target, keep the plane flying steady, hold the trigger until the automatic release and keep missing wildly every time. There must be something I am not doing right... And, by the way - why are all of my bombs showing only CCRP mode and not CCIP? Failure.trk

Every time I click Make HTML from the Controls submenu I only get the joystick bindings - how do I get a keyboard bindings reference? DSCW has a lot of keys to remember and I want to make a printout for reference.

Are you saying that getting an SSD won't make DCS load faster and run smoother? I was just thinking about breaking the bank and getting a Crucial M4...

That definitely means that there is something wrong either with the joystick or with the USB port you have it connected through - try using another USB port. BTW - does the red-green light shine on the joystick when it is connected? Maybe try connecting it to another computer and see if it works?
