  7. COBRA IS CREATING A THREAD. IT SHOWS IT IN HIS PUBLIC PROFILE :bounce::thumbsup::yay:
  8. While I agree that there has been a lot of "whining" complaining in the past, the way I look at it, is that its a discussion board. I believe that its a persons right to want to complain if they want. Given the circumstances with how this project has progressed, it is understandable people are starting to get fairly livid and upset about the whole thing. I'm not saying that everyone should be this way, but I completely understand why, given that almost all of the promised actions, and due dates have never came to be true. The customer, has the final say in everything, they can either buy the product or not. Buying is good for the devs, not buying is obviously not their goal. Allowing customers to express their feelings is something that shouldn't be taken lightly, as it can directly affect the success of a module. And whats scary, is that for every person who is posting on here complaining, there are probably 25 more who feel the same way yet never post. If the customers feel alienated after the process, they may go and buy other modules instead, which for the Mig-21, it may not be as much of a difference since there aren't any other full fidelity fighters, but I'm talking about more in the future when there are many other products from the other 3rd party devs. I'm also a little upset to see others, who feel they have a right to call out the other "complainers." I mean no offense by this, but your opinions don't have any superiority over theres. Your free to express the dissatisfaction of complaining, but It's sad to see others belittle the ones that are complaining over the issues. Its great that you have superior patience and what not, but chances are, the ones who are complaining are the biggest supporters of the module. Most aren't complaining just for the hell of it, they are genuinely upset. Yes, I understand that this module has been in development for a few years, and that "an extra few weeks won't mean anything." Well there is a breaking point that comes, and for many people it will eventually become that time, where they start pursuing other modules, or different games outside of DCS completely. If "just a few weeks extra" happened over and over, years could pass by without it being released. But as I mentioned, those who are complaining may be some of the most dedicated fans. If they are left disappointed for too long, they may seriously reconsider they views on any future modules, and as such may not help fund future projects through Indigogo or Kickstarter or anything. That could be a serious consequence moving forward if they needed public funding again for the next time around. As they may support other developers actions moving forward. This thread has seem to luckily had less "misinformation" posted. All that is being posted mostly were about the livestream that was supposed to happen today, and with no suprise didnt. Everyone is going be discussing about the update next week, and about the promo copies. Those have been said to be occurring, and if they don't there will of course be people that are upset over it, and there will be discussion. And if those actions DO happen, there will be a lot of excitement in the forums I'm sure, which would be a good thing at this point. I'm sorry but I just had to put my $.02 and opinion in this issue. I'm sure some will not like what i've said but thats the nature of life. I really hope that a solid video comes out tomorrow, that promo copies and update go out shortly. I really want everyone to be happy and excited about the project, and hopefully subsequent release in the near future. I know LN has put a lot of time and effort into this product, despite the setbacks and challenges. But its time to put rubber on the road. Many people are DYING to fly this and enjoy it, and this forum is a true testament to it. Remember to think about the customers and ensure that they will want to follow you into the future, with not just this module, but any others that you plan on completing. Off soap box ;)
  9. Is the live stream still on for tomorrow? :)
  10. Well I appreciate your insightful and condescending statement that we were all a bunch of children. :worthy: That really added valuable information to this thread Edit: And for the noise.. welcome to a discussion board. Any groundbreaking info will be stickied
  11. No one's forcing you to read it.
  12. I understand your point about unfinished materials. But I believe that if the manual is say 95% completed it would be okay. But I agree if the manual was a total mess that it's best not to. Only example I have is fw-190 manual. It's very close to complete and if it was at that level I think it would be nice.
  13. And besides, I understand that a lot of the hype around here, can be annoying to the devs and others, but whats the alternative to hype? It would be no interest at all. Interest and hype are what sell games. If people werent thrilled or excited about it, no one would buy it, and it would be a failure. I believe the Mig-21 is the most hyped aircraft as of right now. The forums for the other aircraft seem dead compared to whats happening here. I understand that somtimes things can get a bit out of hand, but its just the nature of this. Hype and interest sells games. I think they will be glad they have this much hype when the finally realease it, and the money starts flowing in. Add: Releasing crumbs here and there of screens, videos, and other stuff helps keep interest and hype flowing. It makes consumers get more excited as time goes on, and they can't wait for it to be release. Thats the dream of anyone who sells anything. You want people to buy your product, and excitement fuels it. All I'm saying is, yes, many of us on the forum are impatient, but thats not a bad thing. Its much better than everyone having a take it or leave it, or will wait 9 months for a sale attiude.. which unfortunately seems to be occuring on other projects
  14. I understand that its their first. I dont believe that I'm pushing them too much. All I mentioned originally was just the idea. And my second post was just defending why I don't think its an unreasonable suggestion I have about the manual. I do not believe I'm being too pushy or annoying, I made my idea known and that is all.
  15. Okay.. he'll dig a bigger hold by releasing the manual thats probably almost perfect, that many of use would enjoy reading. If it was such a bad idea, why did he say there are going to be internal talks on it. I'm not asking for him to release the Mig 21 buggy. I do not think the manual is an unreasonable request. Wags released it for the FW-190, and it is very much WIP. Were there any issues with that... Not that i know of. If you don't want the manual dont read it. But the rest of us here would love it
  16. Unless I turn off the ground safety, and drop the nuclear bomb off the 21. Your coming with me :O
  17. How did the thread go so far not comparing the fact that the Airforce fighter pilots have the "female end", and the Navy fighters having the "male end" Just kidding of course lol
  18. I never said B&W one wasnt real, or that there all yellow. OP asked for images, thats what im giving. People can make their own conclusions
  19. Here is a black and white one and yellow :) start 6:20

  22. Cobra, I really respect and appreciate what you guys are doing for the Mig-21. Please don't take this post as nagging, or complaining... I feel like if we got the manual that would certainly calm a lot of people down. I know I would be able to enjoy reading it 2-3 times over, to really understand the aircraft before we got it, and it would help relieve the "pre mig21 release anxiety syndrome" THis is not intended to be a complaint or anything, just sharing my opinion
  23. I believe that the windows are not modeled properly, so you cant see that view. I may be incorrect though
  24. It would almost be cool if someone did a kc135 module to do tanking. However thats really low on the list of priorities, and i'd rather them not waste time. But if some 3rd party wanted to, it might be cool.. Well on the other hand that might be a really boring module, minus boom operating.
  25. What nooks and crannies are you referring to? What kind of tests do you want?
