Thanks for the replies, however when I do look there the "hole" is empty with no gauge present
-
Does anyone know where the fuel gauge is for the center fuselage tank. I know it is supposed to be somewhere behind the seat, but I cannot find it to save my life. I checked the manual and for some reason I still cannot locate it in the actual aircraft. Thanks!
-
Well according to what was just said you could pledge the $1 amount and still receive the 3 planes free.
-
At the moment they are. But they are probably going to change it to a single aircraft.
-
Mac I agree with your assessment about the free aircraft. It would be a tightrope indeed especially with all the press surrounding Kickstarter at the moment. The only issue I see is that while the free aircraft are in the product description, they are pretty much "deliverables" meaning that they are promised. The backers will all understand the change but non backers may not, and bad press could ensue causing significant issues. This is an extreme idea, but what if they cancelled the KS campaign, took a few weeks to get their heads straight, and start over with another campaign. A campaign that is CLEAR about what the deliverables are, and what the stretch goals are. I'm also not sure that an ME 262 is the best stretch goal as I feel there may be more interested in another one of the WW2 aircraft. Perhaps they could also produce more gameplay videos and screenshots of their work and not mostly of P51 and Dora which is being produced by ED. I know a campaign restart is very extreme but it may be the only option. Better than having this one complete and not have enough funds to satisfy the current deliverables and bury the project forever. And perhaps take the DCS name down as well. Edit: Also don't get me wrong a campaign restart will have its backlashes as well, it just appears they are between a rock and a hard place. Either try to produce the deliverables with what appears to be too little funds, or have to suffer the repercussion of having a campaign restart.

I was not advocating that pledgers shoudn't have aircraft on release. I was stating that there is the fact that the 3 aircraft are going to be release for free upon completion. I said that the only free aircraft for non-pledgers should be a trainer aircraft. The pledgers should get the additional aircraft that they paid for. I was stating that the way it is now it appears that someone who pledged nothing will get almost the same benefit as someone who pledged $40
-
I think the biggest problem is that they offered 3 aircraft for free. By looking at this again it appears that the backers who pledged $40 would get "3 additional aircraft". Additional meaning extra aircraft on top of the 3 they initially said would be free. I think they were expecting to get a lot more backing and would reach many stretch goals and end up producing 7 or 8 aircraft. Then those who pledged say, $40 would get the 3 free, plus, 3 additional aircraft produced. This is how I see and understand it, and it appears there is a tremendous amount of confusion about how the entire backing tier structure works and what is actually getting delivered. I firmly believe that they shot themselves in the foot by offering 3 aircraft for free. This has made many potential backers choose to not invest. Many probably thought "why would I pay to get aircraft that others will get for free on release?" If anything they should have offered a trainer for free so that players who were on the fence about pledging can get to try the immersive training and really get to enjoy the product. They may later go on to purchase additional models (at full price) if they really enjoyed the product. At this point I'm not sure what can be done. There has been a lot of negative press about KS lateley and them doing something dramatic can really hurt their reputation. I think what is done is done. I hope that everything goes well for them because this has a potential to be a groundbreaking project. Like always, this is just my personal $.02 on the issue. EDIT: To clear confusion I am not advocating that only one trainer should be available upon release. Only that non-pledgers should have that aircraft for free. The pledgers will get the aircraft that they paid for

"The free downloadable version of Europe 1944 will include THREE fully flyable aircraft, each arguably more famous than the next: the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighter/ground attack aircraft, the Supermarine Spitfire fighter, and the German Messerschmitt Bf.109K. Non-player-controllable versions of all other aircraft will also be included, allowing the players to see them in action at any time." This was quoted from the Kickstarter page. I think this is the statement that is potentially confusing among everyone

But I'd like to see the ground handling improved. The tire and steering system!

Waiting for first discount on DCS: Mi-8MTV2

At 70% it would be $15  -
Will the A-10A be the Jet for my Son and I?
ff4life4 replied to kronovan's topic in A-10A for DCS World
Just one other note, not sure if it was made clear, is that the free SU-25T will be on the same fidelity level as the A-10A. If he likes that level of complexity the A-10A will be well worth it. Especially since it is also on sale for a very reasonable price ($6). EDIT: Sorry you beat me to it Psyrixx. -

I appreciate that ED understand their customers, and will make things right. No doubt this will have an extremely positive effect on all. Now we just need something to spend it on :smilewink: -

Yes we understand that sales will happen. Yes we understand that we pay more to play early. This wouldn't be as bad if the sale was 6 months from now. The reason some of us are upset is that it was discounted after 2 WEEKS. Most of us would of waited 2 weeks to save 60%. If you don't understand our point, you never will. Its not the fact that we are upset a sale happened, its the matter that the sale happened so quickly. Many of us have learned to not buy on release/beta again. Many of us will now always wait for sales. I hope that ED/BST won't be too affected by the large number of early adopters who will not participate next time. That's our point. We know how sales work, we accept them. But having 2 beta products that both went on sale so early is not a normal business practice in the software industry. As I stated before ARMA 3 supported its early adopters with discounts. The earlier you purchased the bigger the discount. Not how it has happened here where early adopters pay full price and then once they grabbed our money went to reach out to the rest of the market. I'm done with this conversation. Both sides have their strong opinions and nothing will change them. Many have learned a lesson. When the next module is released, Let the chips fall as they may. -

+1. This has been my point all along. -
What I found to be extremely helpful was a full read through the manual. Pretty much everything you will ever need to know is contained there. I would sit at the ramp started, and as I read through the systems, I would then interact with them in the cockpit. It took a very long time to get through this, but for me I thought it was well worth it. Having such a deep understanding of all the systems helped me to learn how they work together. Believe it or not all of the systems make life easy when you know them in such detail. This has worked for me personally. May or may not work for you.

That is all my point is. A forum is going to be full of opinions. All I have been are my opinions and feelings. MANY customers are extremely upset with the decisions on sales that they have made. MANY will not make the same mistake again. That is my only point. I'm not trying to say who is right and who is wrong. Only how I feel. A forum is a place for fact and opinion. -

Still my point stands. The price went up from Beta to Final release. -

No offense, but I fail to see your points. A. The fact that the product is in beta is worse than if it was a full release. Look at Arma 3, early adopters got a discount, that kept everyone happy. B. It doesn't matter if it was the result of good or poor sales. Customers felt as if they got ripped off. And in this case whether it was a permanent change or a limited time offer doesn't change the point again. Many of the initial Mi-8 and Huey customers feel like fools. It doesn't matter what the circumstance is. A business should look to keeping customers, especially early adopters, happy.
