  1. Hi guys, I need your opinion on some few things. I recently managed to find out the accuracy files for the ground AI. I can modify it by vehicle class (for example : all soldiers etc), and several other features which could be interesting. I'd like your opinion on what I should include in a future mod, which would share the philosophy of my rocket/bomb overhaul mod. (no god mode, simply try to make the game more realistic). Here are the features, give me your opinion : - Accuracy of ak soldiers and non telemetry vehicles like brdm divided by 2 against air units, by 3 when moving. - Rate of fire of manpads units set to 40 seconds instead of 13 seconds currently when working alone, to avoid the "minigun manpad effect". - Suppressing the "I shoot at an heavy tank, it explodes in thousands of parts", which is completely unrealistic (never saw a modern tank like an Abrams or a Challenger explode after having been hit), and simply freeze them to the "burning engine" animation. *** - Lowering the detection capacity for low visibility vehicles like Btr-80 or old generation heavy tanks (T-55, T-72) against air targets. *** I need your help for this one : The game calls an animation argument numbered 44, I don't manage to find the .lua where the animations are located. As you may have noticed, when you shoot with, for example, vikhr, at a tank, it first burns a bit with some sparks and smoke on the engine, and then it explodes. The goal is to make it only burn, without exploding. Thank you for your participation, if you have other suggestions on what could be improved, like the dispersion distance or stuff like this, please submit it. Nicolas
  2. Hi, only the commander (copilot) needs to go back to spectators while the pilot asks for refuel and rearm. Once both are done, the copilot can come back in the helicopter. No need for a full respawn.

  4. Technically, you could change the caliber in the lua. But changing the canon itself would mean to change the whole 3D model, contrarily to the HOT/Milan/Tow where you just replace the payload with another already existent. Nicolas

Hey guys, keep calm a bit please. 1) Roie said to you that there still was work to do on the FM. 2) He manages to remain polite with you, quite happy that I don't do such job ;) I don't know what you imagine, kinda like introducing VRS, reactions to collective depending from wind etc are just 2 lines to edit. looks like you never saw a FM code file and its thousands of code lines. So please, it is perfectly understood and accepted that there are still lacks in the FM, but as said by Roie, all which is needed is you to complete the template so they can deal with them. And complete them quietly, with peace, love, and teddy bears in mind. By buying a Beta, you accepted this way of working, you knew it. Work is being done on it, so please remain civilized, developers are not your enemies ;) (Teddy bears are not included in the final product) Thank you <3 Nicolas
  7. Well. I'm learning some stuff... I never enforced civilian traffic. I guess that as long as it's my personnal game setting, the mission was then saved with it. I will check it, civilian traffic is not a wish from me, so apologizes if it may have led to very poor FPS, at least the issue is now identified. I will enforce it to low or to none depending the mission. BY THE WAY : DO NOT edit yourselves the missions, (1) for obvious trigger reasons, (2) because sometimes, it can lead to a mission corruption which erases all the audios/scripts contained in the mission. So at least, if you really need to edit them, simply go after having saved the mission in the triggers and try to play one or two audios to make sure everything is ok. I say this because I suspect some "bug reports" like 'there are no audios", or "there are 3 drones on the same mission and nothing happens" to be the result of a "customer edition". Nicolas
  8. Hi, Will look forward it, true that DCS doesn't behave the same at all from one computer to another, so I myself hadn't any kind of FPS issue with that setting. Do you think I can let it on low setting or should I simply suppress it ? Nicolas

  10. That's because he doesn't use his joystick to slew the camera but the standard keyboard keys. ASk him to suppress his keyboard binding for camera slew and to use the stick.
  11. When I think that I pilot it with a 40 cm extension, 80% saturation and curves at -25 (so far more sensitive than default ones) without having any problem... I'd simply say that to talk about realism accurately, the best for you would be to pilot a real helicopter, because yes, a Gazelle is very, very, very sensitive, but it's still very easy to pilot as long as you don't try to over-correct the aircraft behavior. So IMO, if you crash with a 35 cm extension and default curves, well, that's simply that you need a lot of training ;) Nicolas

Sometimes happens when you spend 10 h on testing a battery switch... No because you seem to imagine that people are playing on theses servers ! :D You fool ! There is nothing more frustrating than initializing the "dev version" by JSGME, then launch DCS, then launch the server, wait for both people to be cockpit, release the pause, click on the switch and... Nope. Doesn't work. Ok let's leave DCS, disable JSGME, wait for the fixed version, download it, replace the former version by the new one, enable JSGME . . . . Nope, believe me, you prefer to wait to play it with your friends ;)
