Its simple - simulation of this missile PL-12 (SD-10) will be science fiction maybe like the rest of the components from this aircraft .. Few facts: 1) SD-10 (PL-12) never carried on JF-17 2) SD-10 (PL-12) never fired from JF-17 3) Never used in battle 4) Nobody from Pakistan air force doesn't know the performance this missile has. 5) In china is this reverse-engineered Russian made R-77 still in testing .. 6) Pakistani pilots of JF-17 use these tactics - for medium-range shooting - CALL F-16 with amraam! This is an IRL situation from Indo-Pakistani Kashmir territory. Also, before time one F-16 shot-down Indian plane with amraam .. 7) Yes, Pakistani airforce has these missiles ordered. But they haven't arrived yet ..

The Iranian F-14A-GR in his main life fight as stock F-14A. All main air battles, all victories and falls against the Iraqi airforce were flying as the stock versions. Was not upgraded. So no need to create any later "degradation" of Iranian Tomcat when it has dead AWG9 radars, dead batteries for phoenixes = no use Aim-54, any cannibalized parts, and imported Russian avionics. The great Iranian Tomcat from the 80s was clear US Tomcat with few exceptions determined for export. A bit downgraded ECM, ECCM (on Aim-54A) - a bit lower frequency of microprocessor, missing fuel probe (later was again introduced), had better engines: TF30-P-414A, IFF had component only for IFF Russian made aircrafts, not US. And Iranian "asia minor" skin. That's all. :)

One question, on which basis Deka Ironwork Simulations develop this module JF-17? Have in hands some original documentation opened for public by Chinese/ Pakistan army? Or it'simulation based on random data from Wikipedia or other non-army sources?

Hi all, need help In open beta DCS in F-14B I have loaded sidewinder AIM-9M. I can't select boresight mode. I have Mater Arm ON, selected SW (on hud), SW cool ON. Default mode is NORM. But when I click on button nothing happened. I can't switch to boresight mode. Still is selected mode NORM.(Red backlit) But when I select PH or SP its working. Button is possble switch to boresight mode. Is here any limitation for sidewinder? Or I on something forgot? // edit - Solved I have opened cover ACM

Exceptions were only on the first series of F-16A where the stick was complete without a move. But this new "feature" caused several accidents in landing, because of some pilots couldn't adapt to this new system of control.

IRL Pulse doppler search mode had weak sensitivity in a situation on the longer range when the enemy plane did manoeuvre perpendicularly to the source of emitting. In this situation had pulse search mode better sensitivity and can detect low receding/ approaching enemy plane. Modern pulse doppler radars are much better than old AWG-9 and no need cooperation with this non-doppler mode.

AA9 is more backward missile than older Aim-54 because its SARH. IRL after launch AA9 RIO did jam on its frequency on which AA9 was guided. After did maneuver for lost from enemy radar.* So interupted guiding of AA9. * If Mig-31 used doppler search so F-14 did maneuver perpendicular to the mig for minimalizing doppler effect.
