  1. I bet he wished he was a navy pilot after that landing!
  2. ah..Much better! You really should max out shadows though, live shadows rendered on the aircraft looks absolutely stunning, with a minimal FPS hit!
  3. Thanks for all the responses guy's, Defenitely cleared everything up over here! It's nice being able to come on these boards and ask a question knowing you're going to get an abundance of detailed replies. Thanks fella's!
  4. hmm...more pitch authority. But why is this so? In what way would deflecting both inward have any effect on the horizontal stabilizers?
  5. I've been wondering about this for ages, and finally decided it was time to ask. When Hornets take off, Super Hornets included, they seem to deflect both rudders inwards. This has always baffled me as common sense tells you that would simply result in more drag, and nothing more. It's like opening your airbreak as you takeoff. I've only seen the Hornet undertake this, and no other. Why do they do this, why only the Hornet, and is it pilot-inputed, or are they automatically deflected inwards when the aircraft goes max power by the FBW. http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1015650 http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1022214 http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1098842 Thanks in Advance!
  6. My God that explosion looked extremely exadurated, in respect to the actual impact. Though the sudden drop is easily visible, the impact itself didn't really seem it was heavy enough to suddenly create such a massive fireball! Wow! Anyway, The accident itself was only a contributing factor in addition to the lack of funds and the breakup of the Soviet Union which doomed this project.
  7. The image must be uploaded to the web. Take its URL and poste it here, and to make the picture itself appear, put the URL inbetween the following: %5Bi%5DURLOFIMAGE%5B/i%5D
  8. Do you mind further disclosing what happened in that incident of the Yak-41?
  9. I think he's talking to Jay because of his sig. ;)
  10. Well that's how it is in real life. In game, in addition to the Su33, you can put the Ka-27 Helix on the carrier. Not sure how much that'll help your campaign though..
  11. Yup...the X-36 went on the right track, followed by the X45 and X52 which definitely were improvements in the right direction, but then came this "THING", which completely fell off the charts..
  12. Interesting, definitely no turning short finals there! I'm really liking your treemod. The airports all feel completely different, much more occupied, and lush.
  13. Went through my screenshots and couldn't find any true night shots, but this one demonstrates the light sources rendered in LOMAC. Here, the MAV plume lights up the side of the aircraft, the canopy, and from the inside, the launch is very noticable. Also, note the sun rendered on the MAV lens. Click, and click again to expand. Here is an example of fires lighting up their surroundings.
  14. Looks great buddy, especialy for such limitations as you mentioned! Could be higher resolution though, rivets and such look blurred.
  15. Yup no worries. What kinda system are you running? Are you not capable of rendering such effects, or do you just not remember them since its been awhile. Such effects and eye candy, is one factor which gives LOMAC its position as one of the go-to sims out there. There are lighting effects on everything you can think of! And yes, you're right, night battles right now are amazing. Seeing the sky light up with missle launches, and watching the plume lit up by the flame, as it heads toward the ground...to subsequently impact a tank and light up the surrouding buildings is spectacular!
  16. X52 here, but only use 1 mode. I never had the need for anymore buttons. Everything I need is mapped to the first mode on every single button. The majority of the keys are repeated and the same from A2A to A2G to even nav, I don't see why you would need pretty much 3 joysticks for each respective mode.
  17. Well yes, but I meant regarding all those effects, they have that covered. ;)
  18. Thanks alot, been searching for an answer for ages! I still don't get why this happens when you install skins.
  19. I'm confused. What are you asking? All these features are already fullly implimented into the game! So if that's what you wanted from BS, well, ED have done a great job..already!
  20. Not quite, those were more of clipped together clips, which were intended to build up the tension for the actual story itself, the OSC campaign. I guess they did have one, in a way, but this must be the first movie with a true, plot in the movie itself.
  21. Oh, that clears ALOT up rugg! I never knew it was handled like that. So the pit actually isn't fully 3D, but textured to look like that, at your respective angle? I'm sure that totally changes with BS now though, with TrackIR and 6DOF.
  22. heh...If anyone noticed, this must be the first G_A film EVER to incorporate a storyline!
  23. WOW, what a let-down. That ovbiously is angled toward civillian heavy aircraft flying where engine adjustments aren't as profound and constant.
  24. Ex-designer? Sounds like some disgruntled DEV that was let go, whos now going around bad-mouthing them in return..
  25. I would like to know how to get the nomera TGA to work again. The red star on my russian aircraft are all these rainbow lines.
