WOW, I had no idea the F1 was that small! ..or Mabey its just because the Flanker is such a damn beast! It's both! Anyway, Great job knellknell! Really, you're doing millions, and your effort isn't going unnoticed! Keep your work up with all these models. Hope to see some more info regarding the Rafael, and howabout getting some pics of your A340 up?

Is anyone remaking any of the old flybles models?
Disso replied to SuperKungFu's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
Pilotasso, I understand your viewpoint, but why the heck are you so negative. Looks like you're trying to turn us away, telling us not to create anymore models because they're "useless." Well look, Not all these models are to be FLYABLE. A wide majority want them to replace current AI or already flyable models. Current default models can range from extremely detailed to horrendous models that seemed to be ported from Flanker2. Most, like I, want to see new models to replace these AI craft, not to simply fly. Wouldn't you want to see the F-14 on par with the Hornet's detail? We're doing what these tools ALLOW us to do now, replacing old models with new, and even adding new static objects that should add a new dimension to the game. It's not all about it being Flyable, and even so, if you may have noticed, a large portion of the community really aren't phased by it, as they enable the "AI=flyable" option in their LOMAC config to be able to fly AI aircraft that were NOT designed to be flown. Get that in your head, with all due respect, and no negativity. -
Well you already can see the back off the cockpit, with mods such as TekaTeka's, you can rotate the view past the limits. Also, you can set the F4 view inside the cockpit so that the pilot is visible, all possible already.
-
Now that they've released all those pluggins, you can simply replace the model youreslf! No need to wait on ED and all their specifications and such, just port it in right now and replace the old model..should be a beaut!
-
I still don't understand.. LOMAC has fully modelled 3D cockpits, you already can look to all sides...

lol where have ya been bud. Check out that 20+ page right there regarding this. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=18235 Though most are very stubborn to admit it, this is a glorious step forward for the LOMAC community. We've been so limited previously, that guys wet themselves everytime we saw screenies of a new model alone in the screenshot section. Now, we have the ability to create and import our own models. We can replace ANY current aircraft model with our own, and the requests to redo crappy AI models can now be fulfilled. In addition, you can actually ADD static models to the game now. We could create air bases, cities, roads, ect ect ect! Possibilities go on forever, really hope people use these tools to the fullest extent!

The start of a revolution for LOMAC??
Disso replied to Pilotasso's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Wrong, actually, he Could release those models, since he bought them, he is entitled to through the copyright which allows him to use it in a game, as long as the files are no longer editable. http://forum.lockon.ru/showpost.php?p=238166&postcount=82 http://forum.lockon.ru/showpost.php?p=238170&postcount=85 -
Excuse me, but I'm in no way trying to be smart here. You just make it sound like all you're out to do is sell the manual, and you never previously said that you had to pay to get it. From our perspective, it looked like you found it somewhere on the net after some hard searching, and thus, it couldn't just linking us to it. But anyway, honestly, ED isn't going to suddenly impliment the Su-27SMK into LOMAC just because you found the manual, they already have a preset arrangement, and it just isn't on their list.

the movie. ;)

Yes, incorporating even a very simplistic damage model would be a great step in a completely new direction. And regarding the FPS, it really shouldn't be an issue if the model has the correct amount of LODS. From afar, this high detailed tank will just be like any other vehicle, a black box.
-
Are you still making a point to sell it, or can you please help the community and upload it somewhere, or tell us where you got it?

Flashing TD box - What does it mean?
Disso replied to SilentBob's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Rgr, appreciated. -
Well you should be realistically limited to what you are in cockpit view, so if you can't litterally check your six as your view is obstructed by your seat, then how is it realistic being able to swivel your head to look perfectly behind and in both directions. But regarding the check-Six view, you CAN move the view to the right and the left, and even forward, Just not with trackIR. You move it with the hat.

The Beast landing: http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1106946 And Taking off: http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=1106601 http://www.airliners.net/search/photo.search?aircraftsearch=Boeing%20747-4J6%2FLCF&distinct_entry=true It hasn't been fitted with new engines, so I wonder how much it's performance has been affected.

Jeezus, thanks a LOT Teka! I've had LOMAC for years, since the day it came out, and these training tutorials converted for easy online viewing are FABULOUS! The Streaming videos take all the hassle out of having to play, sit through, and watch the training tracks ingame. Don't forget to put a direct link to the online tracks in your sig too!

OT- what anti-virus software do you use?
Disso replied to SuperKungFu's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I use Kaspersky Antivirus and am overwhelmingly pleased with it! It picks up EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERY-THING that possibly came at me. I've been visiting trusted sites for years, but since installing Kaspersky, it even picked up trojans and adaware that I've been missing. It scans absolutely everything, even as you surf the web, everything, and as you wish, doesn't take much, if any, resources to run. The only, only flaw it might have, is that doing a full computer scan takes FOREVER, probably because of how thorough of a job it does. I remeber I did a scan, and it took more than a complete day to finish! Other than this, this should be THE one to go with! -
He's released another video, and it sure is one of his best, or most heavily edited...but in a different sense. It is full of real life montaged into LOMAC, gives off a great feel as you see both maneuvers being done from different perspectives and such. There's something about his videos I love, not to mention his top knotch flying! http://rapidshare.de/files/31745847/follow_the_leader5.wmv.html

The start of a revolution for LOMAC??
Disso replied to Pilotasso's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
So according to this list, we have the full ability to create a total conversion including a brand new aircraft model, its cockpit, functional weapons on the right positions, all working together? The only thing missing would be the FM, but wow! -
Total newbie here...any good tutorials?
Disso replied to Skwurl's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Indeed, and in the wake of the last few days, it will get stronger and grow even more. :) -

Disso replied to StrikeMax's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
heh...it was great watching yourself ask and answer yourself! Seriously, when it all comes down to it, trial and error is your best choice, keep the work up! The whole community is with you on this one. Looking for more updates soon! -
The start of a revolution for LOMAC??
Disso replied to Pilotasso's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
They never had a problem with that. Switching 3D models also switched the model's hit detection to the correct model as well. If that was the case, they could never get as close as they do. The F-15 is FAR larger than the 18 and 16.
