Good question, The SU33/A10 mod officially released for realism includes GBU's and those do at least 3x the damage as MK20's do!

WOW this looks to be VERY good! I love high quality and budget'ed well done fighter pilot documentaries, filled with view from inside and out. The footage just makes my eyes spoil on eye candy! LOL You bought the package and you don't even have MSFS! Now that's dedication! It really is amazing though. I assume you got the complete pacakge with the carrier and such? Landing on it is a challenge, and the FM, visuals, and effects on the Mig are superb! You might not get what you expect in FX10 though, I hope you're not plagued with Performance problems from the sim itself in the first place. You also won't be able to try out the ship, as they aren't located in the area St. Maartin is (the demo area).

IMO, I'm pretty dang satisfied with FSX, partially because I didn't expect what I got in the first place. It completely is a revamped engine, and if you have the computer to run it, the results are simply STUNNING. I mean, this must be the first flight sim ever, to go all out and enter next-gen, with Bump-Mapping, HDR, bloom, real-time shadowing, real-time reflections, AI widelife, sea, land, and air vehicles! These aspects surpass even next gen FPS shooters! Flying in rain yielded amazing results for me, seeing clouds reflecting on the runway, oh my bumpmapping is amazing! Immersion has been increased in the VC, with natural head movements added, and everything feels more polished as zooming, panning, and switching views is alot more smoother and gradual. Flight Dynamics have noticably improved when doing radical stunts, the planes dont just go BAZERK and do UFO typed dynamics. The Beaver actually yawed left and went into a flat spin when I pulled it up for a tailslide. Only downside was the fact that you really need a good computer to run everything maxed out. I had frames from 9 to the high 20's at most with settings closed to Ultra High. Don't forget, that a vanilla MSFS might as well be last year's MSFS, after you install addon after addon! PMDG...Flight1....RealAir...!

All the comments in this thread are invaluable, and exactly what I've come to experience in my own flying, great job! TrackIR, TrackIR, TrackIR. After making the run, and as I pull up and bank away, I NEVER take my eyes off the target, other than for quick glances at intruments are the surrounding area. I use my rotary switch and zoom out to the max, and as I turn up and around, the target is always sound in my sites, my eyes transfixed on it as I use peripheral vision to bank around and re-align. I never needed to actually check the target heading as mentioned above...just keeping your eyes on it does the trick. -
Not just civillian traffic.....EVERYTHING. It's a major bug in the game. Though the actual model is destroyed, the hit detection for it is still there, and all vehicles, will be seemingly driving on air as they transverse it.

It's 1.5 Gig's needed... That vibrant blue color is ideal for the weather, time, and location settings used in the screenshots. I mean what else do you expect from a tropical, lush, summer shot? The color and depth of the water does change as weather, clouds, sky, and season change. I flew at sunset and dawn, and the water was very realistic looking...dark grey, murky. It looks amazingly great with a thunderstorm going. Also...I must add, bumpmapping on the runway in rain and snow looks goooooood!

wow..just started downloading a few minutes ago, and I have 40 minutes left! Getting 170KB/s on filefront! I thought we were supposed to pay for this, or was that just gamespot's stupid idea? How do they expect to get anything when all their competition is giving it away for free, like it SHOULD be!

Man your lucky. I don't care what you guys have to say about FS9 or Microsoft. Thing is, most didn't think there was anything coming after FS9, FSX came outa' nowhere, and it looks asbsolutely BEAUTIFUL! They really took in all our thoughts, critics, and such, and I see they really angled it towards more with objectives, graphics, better immersion, ect. Please post some screenshots soon!

But isn't that a good thing. Lighting AB and running, to increase the distance, bleeds the AIM120's speed and engery and Drastically decreases its chances of hitting you. I don't care if it has more time to track or acquire me, If it's going to be easy to defeat if you lure it out like that with a subsequent turn, is that not better?

Well mabey I don't understand what we're even looking at. Is it the placement of trees, or the fact that beyond a certain point, no more trees are rendered and they abruptly stop? If the latter, alright then.
