  1. A weapons range like the 476th's? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=115228
  2. BTW, this is how I found who had them in stock, had never used this site before: http://www.nowinstock.net/computers/videocards/nvidia/gtx970/ There are 2 models in stock right now it looks like.
  3. That's the one I just put in today. :) I would steer clear of the ACX 1.0, from what I read there are some issues with the heatsink that people didn't care for. http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/evga-geforce-gtx-970-acx-has-misaligned-gpu-vs-heatpipes.html The 2.0 has a different solid aluminum base. I ordered mine from Newegg yesterday and today they show out of stock.
  4. Kinda the same thought I had but I went with the highest clocked one, so far, that EVGA released with the new fixed cooler. If I decide to upgrade in 90 days then I can pay the difference and get a 980, shipping excluded.
  5. I'm about to find out, my 970 came in this morning. :)
  6. +1 This is how I do mine, then use JSGME to remove it before an update and put it back afterwards.
  7. Finally got this to work today, what I did exactly I have no idea. Did re-download it so maybe the original was corrupted in some way. Saw a nice little boost in FPS. Thanks again Mustang, and AMD also I suppose.

Is there a defrost switch somewhere? :megalol:
  9. I'm going to try that later, install 14.4 and drop the dll. Not sure I want to install the full 14.41 but I guess I could give that a shot too.
  10. I saw that he did, just really weird as I've had no issues using the injections up until now. Just tried 4 other versions dll's and they all worked, it's just this one that won't. Also downloaded the full driver set Mustang linked and extracted the dll from there, same result.
  11. Yea it is. It's ZweiBlau.dll that's crashing. As soon as I remove the dll, it runs fine. Tried a repair and didn't make a difference. I must be missing something, tried it on my beta install that is still on 1.2.8 and it crashes exactly the same. Curious if anyone else has used it with a 7870 and had success.
  12. First time I've ran into this, currently running the 14.8 version. Been doing the injection thing Skatezilla pointed it out and haven't seen this before.
  13. Weird, get a crash starting DCS every time I inject the dll.
  14. Not really true, ED has sales and also usually discounts modules when they are first announced for beta release. Also can catch sales at Gamefly etc... Not sure what value to the sim that adds buy maybe I don't understand. You can still add DCS World to Steam manually and use the overlay. In the past speed made a difference, but that does not seem to be a problem anymore. Actually you get updates available through the standalone sooner. One big thing for me is quick access to the modules, with Steam, you are going to be waiting 2-3 weeks for a module to be available after it has been released on the standalone. Almost every other game/sim I have is on Steam, and it has it's great points, but for DCS I saw no benefit and only drawbacks to having it there.
  15. Yep, you can use serial numbers from Steam, GameFly, etc, with the standalone version, so you can take advantage of sales everywhere.
  16. I have the ProFlights and they've been fine over the last few years. Think the only real difference between them and the combat pedals is the actual pedals are made of metal. The working inner parts are the same between them.
  17. The control setups are stored there and you copied them so that is good, after you copy them you need to load each column under each aircraft individually. It won't read them correctly to start because they are stored by controller id in the file name, so if the controller has a different name, they won't load automatically. Go into each aircraft and click in the column you want to load, and in the upper right there is a load profile button. That will pull up a window where you can select the .diff.lua you want to load. Make sure you select the one that was copied from your old controller. Also make sure you are in the right subdirectory for the aircraft you are setting the controls on. The pic shows loading the controls for the UH-1 and notice the directory is /input/UH-1H/Joystick.
  18. You can also map the commands UFC Steer Up Rocker Switch and Down Rocker Switch to your controller. I have it on my X-52's mouse wheel and it works great for rippling JDAM's on mark points.

    TARS Help

Seems like I had a similar issue last year and it was missing the entry in export.lua. There should be a line in C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS\Scripts\export.lua that is like the one below. dofile(lfs.writedir().."Scripts\\TARSExport.lua")
  20. +1, tried mapping it once, and decided it's better to have it on the keyboard where it is intentional to activate it. :music_whistling:
  21. If I understand you correctly you have a setup similar to mine, 1 PC with OS and multiple user accounts on it (all for me but different purposes like work, gaming, general, etc..) DCS will only activate under the account it was installed under as the license keys are stored under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eagle Dynamics in the registry. If you want to run it under a different account on the same PC, export the above registry key while logged into the account that it was installed under, and then import it while logged into the account you want to have access to it.
  22. I didn't look that close at first, it's a missing texture correct?
  23. Reminds me of watching the CBU-97 skeet deployment, they modeled it incredibly, much more than I think it needed to be but is really awesome.
