  1. I run OpenTrack the same as Bourrinopathe does and there is no need for a headtracker dll file as long as you have the Freetrack 2.0 Game Protocol selected and Enable Both under the settings for the game protocol. It was one of the reasons I switched to it for simplicity's sake, along with the reverse side to side views working properly. The version is opentrack-2.2-end-of-alpha-2-g2e1b49f used with a PS#3 Eye on CL-Eye-Driver-5.3.0.0341 with 320 x 240 @ 130 FPS, don't have any lockups. No special admin or compatibility settings.
  2. Only time I've had it lose mappings is when changing USB ports. That causes windows to create a new ID and DCS doesn't recognize it. I do not have anything set up in the SST software except the speedbrake on the slider so if your using the SST for all the mappings no help there.
  3. I tried it first with the AI On/Off actions, but the hummer kept going so I must have been doing something wrong with the trigger or it doesn't support starting/stopping the unit. The way I wound up doing it was with an initial waypoint Hold until the AC enters the moving zone, then used 2 more continuous triggers, one for Group Hold when out of zone, and Group Resume when in the zone. Not sure of the one I posted had it or not but I triggered to remove the unit when the aircraft got to the runway so it wouldn't be blocking anything. On a related note, I set up one where it activates the hummer at the end of the runway on the taxiway when landing and will take you back to a parking spot. Still learning the mission editor obviously but it was fun working on it.

    HB Wags!

Hope it's a great birthday! Thanks for everything!
  5. No problem, glad it worked out for you.
  6. You didn't change the USB port for the controller did you? That will cause it to change the mappings. Every time I moved around my USB ports I went through this also. Finally wrote down where every connection went and don't have to deal with it now. Check in your \Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\aircraft\Joystick, like \Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\F-15C, and see if the .diff files are still there. If they are, you can load them back by selecting the correct column in options and loading the old profile.
  7. Best I could think of quickly. Nothing fancy with spawning the follow me it's just sitting there. The Start/Stop Zone can be adjusted, it's set to 50. Could also despawn it when you hit the active with another zone etc... Follow_Me.miz
  8. Yep that one's been around since 1.2.8 I think, maybe even earlier.
  9. Yep it is. I use a laptop for a server at the house and play on my desktop. Set up one of them up in multiplayer with the New Server option, uncheck Public, and put a password. On the client PC, in the upper right of multiplayer there is Connect by IP. Put the local lan IP, usually 192.168.x.x:10308 of the PC running the server and enter the password then connect. All from memory but think I covered it. Edit: One thing to add, make sure both are running the exact same version, and you need 2 different valid accounts with licenses of the aircraft you want to fly.
  10. My wallet is screaming at me already...
  11. That would be pretty neat, watching them clean the runway before a sortie!
  12. You should put missions in C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS\Missions, then they will show up in game under Your Missions. For the Mods, hopefully someone will chime in on using JSGME with Steam, it will make it much easier after you understand it. I think the file structure is the same in DCS once you get into the \Steam\SteamApps\common directory, so you'd have to substitute those paths for JSGME to work. Here's the thread on using it: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607
  13. You forgot the category for internal lens artifact.
  14. I did, the one listed below correct? https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/699221/ Also, my install path for DCS World is C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World and all the installs seem to not have the Eagle Dynamics part in it. I just moved the files to the right directory so that should be ok right?
  15. Is there an updated download for the Tactical Training Qualification? I filtered on Sabre-TLA and can only find DCSWA10C_CMP03A.V1.1.miz updated on 22.09.14 which is trying to install in the /aircrafts and not /aircraft folder.
  16. Unless I'm testing a mod or something like that I always rampstart. Just adds to the realism IMO and you understand the systems as fixen said.
  17. Honestly, gave up o them doing anything, nothing has come out since the 55 launched so wouldn't expect anything.
  18. Motherboard is PCIE-3 so it's not an issue. It's just not ramping up as it doesn't have enough to do it seems.
  19. Great flying! Really like the bingo fuel right at the finish gate.
  20. Been using the Opentrack-2.2-end-of-alpha-2-g2e1b49f and haven't had any issues.
  21. Thanks! So it's hitting the highest FPS that the CPU can provide, that makes sense since that 1 core is always over 90%. Yea I noticed it was taxed a little more after I turned everything to high. But still not even hardly heating up the GPU. Which is nice. I think my 4.5 OC on the CPU is about all I'm gonna get out of it. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything Nvidia related to DCS World.
  22. Anyone check out their 970 with a hardware monitor while running DCS? I noticed the clocks on mine are dropping to under 1000 while DCS is running and not sure if it should be, (first NVidia card I've ever owned I believe). Power level is about ~50% and temps are in the 40's. Is it just because the CPU is limiting it and the card only needs to go so fast? I'm not having any issues with FPS btw, this thing is a rocket IMO. Just want to make sure it's working correctly. In 3DMark for instance, the clock bounces around 1382 - 1454 and 110% power for the entire test. Thanks!
  23. I've seen quite a few plans online for 3D printed replacements that I thought would be nice, just don't know anyone with a 3D printer.
  24. True. Steam, (Valve) is a US company so their portion will more than likely be converted to dollars at some point.
  25. I didn't upgrade from 7 to 8, but I recently reformatted and did a new install of Windows 8.1. My previous OS was also 8.1, but with the upgrade path from 8. I saved my DCS folders, and also exported the registry key for licenses, re-installed the OS and copied everything back, updated registry and everything works just like before. Did have to set up controls again as the ID for the controllers changed of course.
