  1. It was actually in 1.2.6, I'm still installing 1.2.7. I test every release using the same mission that I found on here, benchmark.miz. There is no moving in the pit, only the external aircraft are, so it always yields the same results. Every release since 13.9 has seen the FPS drop from 24-25 to 19-20. 13.12 today was 17-18, went back to 13.9 and FPS went back up to 24-25. I always remove the old drivers/CCC and run DriverSweeper from 3D Guru to clean everything out, then install the new one and configure CCC the same.
  2. Same issues I've had with the last beta's. 5-6 FPS drop sitting on the runway with identical settings. Doesn't seem too bad but that's around a 25% drop from 13.9.
  3. Any feedback on FPS yet? I'm still on 13.9 because anything after that caused a FPS hit that wasn't needed.
  4. Honestly not sure then. I pulled mine out of the closet and it has them labeled next to the symbol with small silver letters. Buttons 1-4 are on the joystick, 5-10 were on the throttle handle, 10 & 11 are the silver buttons on the base of the throttle. Make sure it is set to PC mode btw, there's a small switch by the cord on the throttle base.
  5. Are you looking for the DX button ID? It should be labeled next to the symbol on the button. Assuming it is the only controller hooked up: X = 6 Triangle = 8 Circle = 7
  6. I tested it in all the modules I have. It works in P-51, Uh-1, SU-25. Shows up in A10-C and Ka-50, but won't change pages. Time to start over again I suppose. Edit: Thanks for the help again PeterP. I got it working by not loading my X-52 Profile. I started again fresh with just the default keyboard and cleared out the HOTAS and rudder categories and it worked. Then just rebuilt my X-52 profile from scratch, yet again.
  7. Thanks for the reply PeterP, I must have something else wrong. I reset all the config files following your guide and no change. Still works finr in some modules but not the A10C. I'm using JSGME for the mod. When I have the mod "active", the kneeboard is placed on the left thigh, when I have the mod "deactivated", the kneeboard shows up on the right side of the screen. So it appears the mod is taking, but just can't change pages. I'll keep messing with it and post if I figure anything out. Thanks again.
  8. I've kinda gotten stuck on this. I have 1.8.5 installed and it works fine in the Su-25 and P51 modules. The problem is with the A-10C. I can call the kneeboard up and down and it's placed where my left thigh would be. But I am unable to change pages on it. (This works fine in my other modules as I stated). I've read this thread several times and have de-installed/re-installed numerous times. It's just showing the map page in the A10C. Any help?
  9. I would really like to see that, I don't even bother with 87's or 103's anymore. Drop 97's or 105's at 1200 or 1500 HOF depending on target density and am happy with the outcome almost every time.
  10. Are the trim settings neutral when you start? I'm thinking that stick has manual trim which could affect the overall throw? They should be centered when you start.
  11. To make the throttle rocker work as rudder you need to put the Hotas X into "5 axis" mode. The led on the throttle base will be red IIRC. Then go to the axis configuration in the game and select the rudder axis. Hope this helps.
  12. Thanks for info! Some reading to do as I plan to purchase soon.
  13. Anything in particular you can share?
  14. I had one and it didn't take long to realize something was wrong with the stick. Turns out that Thrustmaster used pots that centers are in the middle on all the axis'. So it creates a big deadzone on the stick and another one in the middle of the throttle where the detent is. It made formation flying and refueling a absolute headache. It creates a dead zone anytime you are around one of the "centers" for an axis. As in if you have the stick pushed forward and right and then move it directly left it will still hit that deadzone when it crosses the center position of yaw. I was very dissapointed in that stick as I had used Thrustmaster for years.
  15. My bad, sorry about that. Believe they all go in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Sounds\Effects I only used the engine ones and the gau so I replaced them one at a time and copied the originals to a zip for backup.
  16. It's an archive, you need a program like http://www.7-zip.org/ to decompress all the files.
  17. At least I know it's not just me.
  18. Everything since 13.9 has had FPS hits for me, 13.11 Beta 7 was no different.
  19. Thanks for the pics, I want to get rid of the idle one, but leave the military/afterburner one. Looks like from your pics I can just take off one of the black nubs in the last pic and it will get rid of it.
  20. Thanks for the links Flagrum and Harzach, think I'd read through all that before and just went with Eddie's last post. I haven't really played a lot with high altitude dumb bombs, always use guided, and maybe that's why I don't see the needed correction.
  21. I thought it had been determined that manual entry of the wind layers was not effective?
  22. Did anyone try turning off the Power Management in Device Manager? Go into Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers, right click on everything that has Hub in the name and select properties. The last tab of the properties window should be Power Management, and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
  23. Yep, I couldn't read a thing on that page, just followed the principle. If you mount it that way, after it's assembled back together you can adjust the magnet under the hall sensor to get it exactly centered. Then I glued mine in place. I used a thin piece of plastic with double sided tape so the screw still went almost all the way back in. I've seen where they used a think piece of can lid metal, which magnetic also. The blu-tac way you have to keep pulling the magnet and pressing it back down. This might help also: http://translate.google.it/translate?hl=it&sl=es&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ala13.com%2Fforo%2Fviewtopic.php%3Ft%3D6460
  24. Yep, the mounts are the same. I can recommend the other method also where the magnets are re-located. It makes almost a perfect circle when using the tester. The magnet placement is important for centering so I did a somewhat modified version of it using the pictures in the link below. It allowed me to adjust the magnets with everything hooked up and then glue it in place to make it permanent once the centering was perfect. Magnet move: http://www.ala13.com/foro/viewtopic.php?t=6460 The joystick tester I'd seen used is attached, not sure where I found it anymore. joytester2.zip
  25. You should have the Saitek program in the notification area if you have installed all the software. I would check it and make sure that if you right click on the rudder icon and select control panel it will give you a window that will check if it can see the rudder. You can move them and it will show what they are doing. If that works, then check and make sure the axis is still assigned correctly under the options and then axis section.
