Most successful controllers for A2A refueling
txmtb replied to Pinefang's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Your poll numbers will probably be skewed by the same amount as peeps that own the stick. I can only say that I've refueled with a Saitek, because it's all that I own. Just took practice, practice, and then more practice. -
Backer Rewards Section is Finally Here

That's why I added the not complaining part. :drink: It's really hard to tell what is what on the KS site, there are 3 different rewards for the $50 level alone. As it stands, I'd rather have them working on the release than worrying about my petty issues. -

I think everything got really screwed up when the reward tiers changed. I think I should have had alpha access but it shows beta and 6 flyables, pledge was $50. I can't imagine the headache this has been for them. Edit: Not complaining btw, will just be happy when we are all flying around in our spiffy new fighters. -

This is why I didn't change anything and sent the email, I'm trusting they have it figured out and can wait for them to get it straight. If not, I'll be waiting forever for nothing. :surrender: -
This was the second time I saw you fly a show, I wish had 1% of the flying ability in the 51 as you have. :drink:

Backer Rewards Section is Finally Here
txmtb replied to Charly_Owl's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I thought about changing it on the forums and the website to match Kickstarter, but was too afraid it would muck everything up and make it harder to get everything working. Hopefully they can straighten it out. -

I get the same thing, but I know that the email addresses I used to back the project and here on the forum are different, I followed the instructions to email them and hopefully it will get sorted out. -
From memory so hope this is right... The Coolie hat forward will switch the HUD to be SOI, then when you press China hat fwd long, it will default to the waypoint. After you have identified the target and made it SPI using the TGP, Coolie hat forward and then DSMS right until the mav is the selected weapon. Then switch the right MFD to the mav seeker, Coolie right short, make it the SOI, Coolie right long, China Hat forward long will slew the seeker to the SPI, which should be your target. then press TMS up short until the seeker locks. You know it has locked on when the cross hairs start to tremble. Rifle away. Edit: Ralfi's Tutorial:

Looks like you have an extra directory "Mods" in there. You need to take out the one between "ATC" and "Sounds".

Sorry I misunderstood. I see what you mean, hadn't noticed that you cannot change the settings even by clicking on them. Guess I never noticed because I usually use markpoints to drop 103/105's over an area and they are always singles on an individual point.

I change HOF under the INV page, select station #, on the DSMS, then Load or Load Sym. Sgl, Prs, RIP, Qty etc are changed under the Prof page on the DSMS. Have to edit both places to get settings that I want.

Saitek, covering hardware flaws with a software update!

Why is it so hard for someone from ED to state what the changes are? This is about as bad as backing the WWII project.

That's one of the issues with the slider, when it's forward or backward and sending commands you can't enter any other key commands, it has to be in the middle or the dead band to release it.

Strange, not sure where the , would be coming from. I'm not familiar with that profile though. The way I have mine programmed is with 3 bands, 0-10, 10-90, and 90-100. Ctrl B is assigned to 0-10, opens speed brakes. Shift B assigned to 90-100, closes speed brakes. I think these were the default key bindings under 1.2.7 so I never changed them. Edit: That's good thing then, hard to tell what was hung up.

Have Teamspeak running by chance? Check under Settings, Options, Hotkeys, and in the lower right dropdown above Cancel select Keyboard and Mouse only. Or Direct Input if using version 3.0.12 with TARs.

no longer works The Ultimate DCS World JSGME Guide - If you use mods, you need this.
txmtb replied to Ebs's topic in DCS Modding
When you manually place the modified file in the C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures directory and it works do you get a security warning that says you need to provide administrator permissions to copy the file? Sometimes with programs in C:\Program Files\ the default permissions do not allow direct modification of the files. Depending on what your OS is you may need to modify the security permissions on C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World to allow your username to have R/W, I have mine set that way. -
You can either set up the weapons profile in DSMS to have it default to CCIP, or use the HOTAS Master Mode Select button to change it on the fly.

If I follow you correctly, you are using JSGMEMODS as the folder to store your mods in DCS World. If so, the path you have listed is missing the /Mods/ directory in front of the /Aircrafts directory. On the C: drive, it should be: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\JSGMEMODS\Ricardo cockpit horse of war\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Cockpit\Resources\Model\Textures\A_10C_C_EDM_TEX.zip -
AMD Catalyst 13.30 beta (14.1?) available
txmtb replied to Mustang's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
FWIW, I'm on 14.2 Beta 1.3 with the 13.9 dll in the bin folder and Dynamic weather generates clouds.
