  1. Anyone?
  2. It worked... just a small typo on your syntax on "P-51": {"P51D_FUZ_FRONT_WHEEL_L", 0 ,"Thetiretexturename",false}; The result attached. It might happen you could be aware what would be the texture and sybtax to tail wheel? I cannot identify either the texture. Thank you a lot!
  3. Thank you sir! Really appreciated. I'll give a try and show here the results.
  4. I want to paint the tire side of P-51 to white color. First, I need to say that the rubber tires texture comes from a separate texture file called "p-51_wheel". The wheels within the FUSE_Front and FUSE_Rear are actually a layer below so that the colors comes from another file. My problem is that I don't know how to identify the correct name of this texture so that I can add it correctly into the description.lua file. Can anyone help me to understand better where I could find the correct texture name to be added into the description file ?
  5. Can anyone help me find a FW 190 skin template? It is not on DCS website repository. UPDATE: I have created one, available here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3303796
  6. You can contact them as I did myself as well just before opening. There was not a problem doing this, more than that they guide me about how to properly get the access inside. You can tell them my story... they might remember something ;). The alternatives were to send back the device for warranty, to send me a new HAT button, or to try to check by myself. I solved it in like 15 minutes.
  7. I used to have kind of similar issue with one HAT on my Mongoose T50. The problem is quite trivial and easy to fix. You need only a screwdriver and some sandpaper. The root cause is the fact that the shaft for that HAT is more thicker then it should be and is not moving properly. In the same time it is possible that one or other button from that HAT to be permanently pressed. Find a way to dismount the lever and have access to the HAT. Normally the HAT itself is held by a screw on the back side, which needs to be removed to completely release from there. Then use the sand paper and gently rotate the shaft to smooth and reduce its diameter. Work in small steps and try how it fits back regularly. Hoping that this could be the only problem, I wish you good luck and don't forget to update the post when this issue is solved.... no matter how ;)
  8. Just wait a little for the dedicated server. It was mentioned about making maps kind of free for servers.
  9. Thank you a lot !
  10. Hi guys, Is any option to move somehow the position of default bort numbers that are actually pointed out in the default skin template? I am trying to design some Romanian BF-109 and they have the numbers moved closer to the tail. The original position is overlapping the Romanian cross decal. Any workaround allowing to use dynamic numbers will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot!
  11. Thank you guys. I never considered adding a second spring (!!!) but i'll definitely give a try. I am currently using #40 because I thought it will help with helicopters. I am trying to find an all arrounder combination that will work to jets, WW2 warbirds and helis.
  12. I know this is very subjective, but those of you flying MCG with the extension mounted, please let me know what spring type selection you made:10, 20, 30, 40, 50
  13. Thank you Cpt. Orso .. i'll give this a try!
  14. I was trying to setup controls in 2.5.4 OB but I am encountering a black screen. The steps are as follows: 1. Open Controls in main menu 2. Select AV8 3. Clear all controllers sections (inputs and axis) in order to setup my custom commands. 4. Set no specific control and hit ok to return to main menu 5. The result is a black screen. 6. Return to desktop possible only by Task Manager and forced close of DCS. I have tested on 2 different computers on two different accounts with exact same behavior. Hope it is clear enough and can be reproduced with ease.
  15. Check here an comprehensive personal opinion exactly on topic: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=220169
  16. That will be used to link multiple blackbox units together. The throttle unit will have multiple extensions so that these units will be linked and connected to one single USB port on the PC. These ports are definitely not to be used with other 3rd party boards.
  17. I know what you say about both Virpil and VKB... they are rare birds :). But the waiting will worth 100%.
  18. Indeed. It is needed only a sheet metal slightly bigger then the VPC base and you can use the original back plate as template to apply the holes to it. As @Whisper says... quite straight forward.

    YAK-52 FAQ

There is a YAK52-TW version. It is actually a tail dragger which hides comepletely its main wheels inside the wings. Is by any chance something that ED might consider to adapt?
  20. @mithandra - can you try make some kind of comparison for VPC and Thrusmaster throttles? Something similar with my 1st post? And try remain as much objective as possible. :D
  21. I did not test this yet, but I am 100% sure the sensors are not working at full range on VPC, as you mentioned also. Still, it have a great precision.
  22. I think this is only half true because in case you are flying helicopters this kind of transition is fine. The problem however remains with the bounce over the neutral position.
  23. @Sokol - I just double checked my VKB and you are right. It have 12 bit on main X-Y axis and strangely 11 bits on all other axis. I will double check the others when I will have some more time. Sorry for misleading this info, I will correct my initial post accordingly.
  24. For now I am keeping my VKB on my right side without extender as it fits best to an Ikea Poang chair. In this setup VKB shines best - proper height. porper travel for best precision. @hughlb - i am fully agree with your point of view and I am sure it will help more for others to take their decisions.
  25. Item availability is an elephant in house and I skipped it by purpose. :D Customer Service is something I was needed for VPC. Their response was quick and efficient. For VKB I managed to finally get it directly from China. They answered all my previous questions and helped me with all the requests during the shipment also quick and efficient. The parcel arrived in my country in only 3 days, but I had to wait another 5 days to receive the custom clearance. Not to say that I was hunting it for more than 1 year but I missed the pre-orders made by the Europe branch.
