  1. I am convinced TI is quite better than standard 1080... If you can try high to ultra settings and come back with some values about VRAM consumption will be even greater. PS: TI does have slower core speeds but higher number of cores.
  2. I am wondering which is currently a good amount of VRAM needed for a video card in order to drive properly DCS in 4k. Asking this because I saw that my GTX1080 is using all 8Gb VRAM and sometimes I am experiencing stutters. I blame for this the amount of VRAM and I am curious how a GTX1080 TI with 11Gb is handling this aspect.
  3. Your CPU should work fine @4.5GHz without voltage increase ...

We loved what you previously show to us. At least youtube movies sounds were great. :) If that quality will be similar in the game I am quite sure your work will be very welcomed.

I am really keen to have this mod sound... but seems that something stays between his work and general public availability :(
  6. I am a 4K user also, but switched to 2K for perfomance improvment. For 27"/28" I consider 2K by far the best balance perfomance/quality.
  7. An Agnostic opinion says simply yes. I7 has the highest per core frequency (of your options) which for sure helps your games. For now games are still dependant on core clock rather the number of cores. So yes... go for it!
  8. FFS = ?
  9. First time I am hearing about this brand. I never saw such flexibility in configuring your personalized laptop. Excellent!!! I would not play with much OC on any laptop. It will never stands for a normal desktop cooling capabilities. If I would be you I would choose best CPU that might work on its standard clock. I saw on their site they can offer some upgraded cooling for your laptop as well, so maybe you should consider that option too.
  10. Well, thank you for explanations. Now is a bit more clear which are the drawbacks on my initial idea. Ok then, I'll do my test on MetalGeard solution in a close future hopefully and I will share with you my results.

I would go for Assettto for now... let DCS get its 2.5 version and come back :D
  12. Cannot quickly found on google how they are built but I remember back in time the description were referring to contactless X and Y, while Z it is indeed a normal pot. Anyway, not relevant for this discussion here... still I would really like to found a way to use that force feedback on a better precision joystick.
  13. I was pretty busy too, but for sure I am intending to build the hardware as per your recommendation above. Regarding the MSFFB2, it does not have pots but some encoders. Do you think I might build a hybrid joystick and combine a MSFFB2 with a Virpil joystick for its accuracy and precision? (ignore the hardware adaption as this will be something to be assessed... I am considering here only electronic adaptions) Anyway... my goal is to be able to build a FFB mechanism around any of best joystick on market Virpil/VKB/Warthog. I can print 3D parts to achieve this as well.
  14. I am waiting for some official statements before buying this. While it is a very great addition, I really hope to not turn the DCS concept in buying airframes by parts and then working on assembly. It may become a "Pimp my Aircraft" . Next module will be 42" TV display for passengers :))) ... Sorry but I cannot stop myself... being so amused :D
  15. Imagine DCS: Spare Parts module. Android and IOS available too :)) Is just a joke ... don't take it hard :) Or us trading screws and nuts to lower the spare part total cost :)))
  16. Very interesting... i wasn't aware about this. Thanks for clarifications. Very promising way forward. I hope in the future we should not need to buy spare wheels :)
  17. As title says.. what is the newly announced support for DCS: NS430?
  18. Thank you Nirvi, this is what I was looking for, indeed. Interesting, I think that ED needs to make a clear official statement on this topic. Even I was trying to keep myself updated on their endeavour I realized this detail only now.
  19. So, my initial question stands: are the modules on STEAM subscribing to 10 activation policy???
  20. Yes, i know steam keys are not working on standalone version, but I thought they are still reffering to starforce, inheriting original activation policy. If they are based on different mechanism, then Steam version will become a more popular and more user friendly option to be considered even we are keen to use ED beta modules which are heavily delayed on this platform.
  21. @Cypher: if somebody from your team could make a video tutorial it will be best.
  22. I saw in today announcement a very interesting statement: Does this means if DCS is used on STEAM will not have that limitations of 10 activations ???
  23. Nice and efficient execution!
  24. I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote this. You need to install only latest version which includes all past improvements :). Sorry for misleading. BIOS itself cannot be found as a folder or a volume on harddisk/ssd. It resides in its own ROM type memory and is not altered at all during normal PC functionality. Only special update procedures will be able to update it. Normally every producer will provide a detailed step-by-step procedure, which need to be applied very very carefully.
