  1. Your next step is to crank the beast :weight_lift:
  2. The Corsair TX850 (made by Seasonic) is a Tier 2. Maybe you can use it for now. Another few years. "Tier 2 Brands - Top Quality components With Top Notch Stability - For Those With Price/Availability Issues With Tier 1"
  3. The RM850x V2 is very good: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews...u,5568-12.html PSUs made by Super Flower are as good as Seasonic. 2 names to remember. Get a Tier 1 or 2 or 2b) https://www.thetechgame.com/Archives...d-the-bad.html
  4. PSUs made by Super Flower are as good as Seasonic. 2 names to remember.
  5. The Corsair RM (very quiet) made by CWT is very good, but -The fan engage to late. -They use Taicon (Tier 2):chair: and Ltec (Tier 4):pain: capacitors in the secondary side. The "other side" of a "lower price". -PCB board, soldering quality isn't the best. https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Corsair/RM850/ http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=369 The RM850x V2 is better: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/corsair-rm850x-v2-psu,5568-12.html
  6. Lol, Corsair battling EVGA for first place in U.S. sales. The EVGA G1 made by FSP is good... (12v 3.3v stability is average, 5v ripple suppression could be better, they use CapXon capacitors (Tier 3) instead of Chemicon (Tier 1)) http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=442 You can find better: A Super Flower Leadex Gold, a Seasonic S12 or M12, etc. Get a 750w (Tier 1) or 850w (Tier 1 or 2 or 2b) https://www.thetechgame.com/Archives/t=5613293/power-supply-guide-the-good-and-the-bad.html
  7. Get a Tier 1, 2 or 2b PSU: https://www.thetechgame.com/Archives/t=5613293/power-supply-guide-the-good-and-the-bad.html
  8. Easy CPU overclock= 150w 1080Ti= 250w MoBo= 50w Others= 50w 500w X 90% (utilization)= 450w. A gold certification PSU will generate 50w of heat :smartass: A bronze 80w :furious: At least, you need a gold, with 100% 105°C Japanese capacitors. BeastyBaiter, the secret is in the taxes
  9. I'm gonna have another heart attack.
  10. This is an old platform. Spend as less as possible and overclock the CPU.
  11. I'm gonna have a heart attack... Forget the Cooler Master PSU. Get a Corsair AX, HX, TX v2, VX. XFX. Seasonic S12, M12, G Series, Energy Plus.
  12. Gav, bad luck! They use high quality 105°C Japanese caps: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/power-supplies-101,4193-5.html "Seasonic manufacture their own PSUs. Long time PSU manufacturer, all of their products are very good, one of the few OEM's to still make quality low-mid power units. Seasonic units are generally quiet, high quality and good value." Many Corsair AX, HX, TX v2 are made by them. All XFX and many Antec too. On Asian/Europe side, PSU made by Super Flower are the best.
  13. Bad news. For gaming (intense current for 2-3 hours and/or 24/7 operating), you need a solid/quality PSU. Forget the be quiet! 550w and get a 650w (Tier 1) or 750w (Tier 1-2-2b) , for a GTX1080, in the list: https://www.thetechgame.com/Archives/t=5613293/power-supply-guide-the-good-and-the-bad.html The new series Strait Power 11 is unknown and the previous (Made by FSP with 85°C BULK cap) was not for gaming PC.
  14. It's a 140w CPU. Considering a better/bigger PSU. Tier 1 or 2 or 2b in the lists. I'm not an expert, it's only my recommendation. https://www.thetechgame.com/Archives/t=5613293/power-supply-guide-the-good-and-the-bad.html http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?108088-Official-XS-Power-Supply-Ranking-Phase-I
  15. Corsair CS (made by CWT) are one step higher than the CX (Tier 3). Good for desktop, but "not the best" for gaming PC. What is the difference? Desktop (good, average) psu has a lot of ripple on the 12v supply that will reduce the life of the video card. 650w is enough, no problem on that side. Use it, but clear the dust. CS650N (still solid unit) is a tier 3, next time look for a tier 2.
  16. What is the CPU? What model of video card? How old is the power supply?
  17. What a coincidence! I found a video of the fight :clap:enjoy!
  18. An Asus Prime Z370-A or better. A Gigabytes Z370 AORUS Ultra Gaming or better. More DIGI+VRM power phase design= More overclocking ability. Asus Prime X470-PRO or better. Gigabytes X470 AORUS Ultra Gaming or better.
  19. Ok, do it. They reprogram on separate threads, that don't mean that you need more cores at this time, but furtunately it's going in that side. The goal is to desaturate the main core. He's not alone. They use less then 3 cores with the 2.5 version, I don't think that will jump over 6 cores before your CPU will be obsolete: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=212160 Argue and criticize for a better knowledge.
  20. The 8600K is cheaper. Hyper-threading is useless for gaming and Intel CPU is more efficient. 6 cores is enough for DCS, this guy has a 8700K at 4.9Ghz. His CPU utilization is 20% for 12 cores, then 40% for 6.
  21. Both are good as long as they are sold in a kit.
  22. I don't know if i'm right... DCS i̶s was a single thread program (one thread for the game and one for the sound), gradually reprogram to use more threads (multi-threading). That doesn't mean that you need more cores at the moment. Threads are spread all over the cores, the CPU utilization tells you how many cores that you need. Of course, the target is to put more load calculation on your CPU. Which is inevitably going to ask for more cores.
  23. In total, you use less than 2 or 3 cores?
  24. Thermalright are second (after Prolimatech) best air cooler in the market. Silver Arrow SB-E Extreme is excellent. You will see a tiny improvement compared to a AIO liquid cooler. Not worth the money. Keep it. http://www.silentpcreview.com/Recommended_Heatsinks The Corsair AXi made by Flextronics are excellent. Tier 1 (Tier 1 provides the best quality power, great for overclocking, super high-end systems, and bragging rights. The best of the best. Very good longevity.) . Keep it. Gigabytes MoBo are excellent. Gigabytes X470 AORUS Ultra Gaming, or better.
