  1. Vulcan is for tomorrow?
  2. Vulcan share the load to all CPU cores available by multi-threading capabilities, the key is to offload the primary core. Vulcan support more threads not more cores. We should wear our yellow t-shirt and knock at the ED office.:protest:
  3. Only for DCS? 9600K at 5Ghz all cores. Or a 9900K to please the others. Guru3d: For gaming it is simple, six cores clocked at a higher frequency works out better than six cores with twelve threads clocked at a lower frequency. And that makes this processor the golden egg when it comes to gaming. I know nothing about power supply.
  4. Before determining what max wattage PSU you need, you should determine what operating wattage your pc needs and this where most of the people fail. This is why wattage calculator exist. https://seasonic.com/wattage-calculator Look carefully the lower graph (GPU usage) R9 390 (275w) when playing games Skyrim, Fallout4, League. The card don't consume 275w constantly. Even when the (low sample rate) monitoring tells you 275w. This is why a wattage calculator will always give you a lower wattage than the max wattage of the components. And this is why a tech guy will tell you that you don't need 750-850w for a single card.
  5. In one word: :chair:
  6. What is the old PSU model? How old?
  7. You will be ok for 10 years.
  8. Please, please, don't tell me a bigger :chair: But a higher quality PSU. 850w is good. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3714338&postcount=52 https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3713321&postcount=51
  9. The 9900K for gaming :chair:I'm speechless. Cooling: Corsair H115i v2. "According to Silicon Lottery's latest statistics, 28% of Core i7-9700Ks the company tested can reach 5.1 GHz or greater (though it only uses a -2 AVX offset and a higher 1.362V Vcore setting). As of 10/28/18, Silicon Lottery reports that all Core i7-9700Ks it tested can maintain 4.9 GHz or greater." "Intel's Core i7-9700K certainly has enough horsepower to push the fastest graphics cards available." "To be sure, Intel's Core i7-9700K is the new mainstream performance leader for enthusiasts with money to spare. If heavily-threaded productivity applications are commonplace on your desktop, there might be reason to invest in Core i9-9900K. Otherwise, avid gamers and overclockers will find Core i7-9700K to be a well-balanced chip that doesn’t disappoint."
  10. I'm twice confused, why do they want the 9900K? For flashing? The 9900K is totally useless over the 9700K for gaming. https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-core-i7-9700k-9th-gen-cpu,5876-9.html Even the 9700K is overkill for DCS for now. If you can't cool down a CPU with a 360 radiator, something is wrong.
  11. Don't thank me, thank you. :smilewink:
  12. You know what? I purchase stuff event when i don't use them. My pc system cost more than $2000, no problem to spend $$ to support the team, notably the third party projects.
  13. Les cousins de Montréal vous souhaitent Joyeux Noêl.
  14. He says, he can save $220, not save 4 sec in loading time.

  16. Delid the beast and spicy the cores.
  17. By the way... It's not as bad as it looks :D Follow the fashion. From a 55 guy.
  18. Corsair RM850x is very good. The peak power is 935w, efficiency at 60% load (running DCS) is around 91%. The Version 2 (RM850x V2) is a tiny better. https://www.corsair.com/corsairmedia/sys_master/productcontent/corsair-psu-spec-table.pdf
  19. Maybe too late. He should cancel the order and talk with us. A new big CPU, Mobo and big video card,,, with an old PSU :D What is this new PSU?
  20. No. Delid the best and clock it at 5Ghz.
