good place for picking targets other than unmasked by flak is the ACG WWII server there is good mission - bombers squadron periodically attacking some spot on the map. it is very easy to hang somewhere near the bombers rout and pick up your targets (before targets picks you ;) ). and what is the alpha and omega of the air combat imho? spotting enemy, favorable position, perfect gunnery.. perfection in these and the score can rise ;)

what about statistics? does 104th or other popular server provide statistics? so we can see how successful are MiG riders in DCS!? :)

DOW server after takeoff bounce - ingress - bombing run - aerial combat (in middle of it I spotted my shadow and extended right landing gear) - egress - landing duno if the right gear stacked in extended position right after takeoff (didnt noticed anything suspicious) or if it just wasnt locked and extended because of the high G's :)

guys, has anyone DCS experience with touch monitors? following video shows it could be quite useful stuff for clickable pits :)

sobek, I just referred to successful crowd funding campaign on KS as was. yes, as wags stated, it is just fragment of the real financial resources needed I am also not that mind that combat flight games ever died. history is full of these kind of games. yes, with jane's and microprose leaving the market it seemed as big end, but thats not fully truth. e.g. there is no Falcon4 downfall. if we examine the history of Falcon4 then we realize that it is one of the longest played flight sim game ever. this game is continuously played and supported (lately mostly by community) for almost 16 YEARS!!! And HELL YEAH - according to wikipedia - its Falcon4 birthday today! :) what I wanted to say? flight games were, are and will be with us as long as we will be with them ;)

I duno, F14?? what about the RIO? ok, offline, I can imagine that robot will fill the place cause there is lots of robots all around you but online? best solution will be to prevent takeoff in case you are not complete crew. this will bring whole new dimension to DCS online :) btw we all know that to ruin a day of F15 pilot not more then MiG23 is needed ;)

I dont know if Star Citizen is best example. This kind of space games attracts more players then flight games imho. I know at least about two flight games which crowd funding went wrong - Red Baron & F-35 Lightning II. And one successful - DCS WWII :)

Slipp, the problem could be that people expected full real modules in DCS and after some time we all realize that it is not full truth. Something is not modeled, something unrealistic added. The modules are 'most accurate' but not 'fully accurate'. Its not showstopper but there is the conflict between our expectations and the reality. IMHO it will be very welcomed to have some note in the manual that Kh-66 Grom is not real deal but gameplay element. Case closed :) PS: anyway, this 'Key feature' from DCS store is completely misleading, should be also corrected (or the missing 'bis' at the end makes it valid?) ;) "Fully modeled avionics and weapons suites – exactly as they appear and operate in the real MiG-21."
