Deleting folder C:\Users\????\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS makes the updater run again, but it doesn't download anything, it just says that it has successfully updated to version 1.2.11 ...., but when I open the game it still says it's 1.2.10.

I just saw you got your answer from Flagrum :)

Could it be the case that you try this straight after start-up and takeoff. IIRC there is some period of time where some equipment (Doppler something :) ) responsible for this attitude determination needs to warm up.

Happened to me when I would alt+tab the game, and the logitech panel would be "up" (not minimized to taskbar), but in my case every joystick button would trigger this crazy movement not just the trim assigned button. The quickest way to solve it was restart windows, I know it sounds daft, but much more reliable than unplugging/plugging the g940, or restarting just the console. Hope it helps :)

can't wait for the release :) good luck, and hope all your chips return 100x :)

HELP! - problem with textures
anjet replied to anjet's topic in Video Corruption and Related Card Issues
Not really sure what you meant with those settings? Is it your suggestion? I must admit I'm not sure what exactly is the impact on graphic performance on them but they work fine framerate-wise. In the nvdia panel I put all settings to nvida recommended for dcs.exe. Just made a clean instal of nvidia 340.52 driver. Still no joy. -
HELP! - problem with textures
anjet replied to anjet's topic in Video Corruption and Related Card Issues
"Repair DCS World" didn't do any changes, I still have the same looking flames. My GPU is GTX770 4GB, driver version 337.88. Where applicable, the setting in the driver is "use 3d application setting". Actually I can't remember ever touching driver settings. As for DCS graphics, I attached the print-screen. -
Dear forum users, does anyone know how to get rid of this texture issue I have. It's present on all modules, the screenshot is form F86 module. This wasn't always present but I can't recall when it started looking like this.

Not sure if I should open a new thread, or maybe search a thread where it is all explained already, but if someone can answer these questions maybe it might improve our survivability :) How to use the throttle, mine is at 100%, 85% of the time!? What is the most useful speed to start and end the turn to keep energy but still try too keep your enemy from your six. What is the best altitude to fight Dora? What is the best starting speed and climb rate for fast or long climbing, or maybe an immelmann turn? That kind of stuff... :)

So I understand that kickstarter pricing was aimed at expanding customer base, but even at the end of kickstarter it was obvious the project and all possible strech goals will be backed by current dcs fan base. I would rather see this project go live even at 50% loss of rewards, but please make it final so I can enjoy the updates and not live in dread of them. At this stage I always prefer kind words to bluntness.

Hi there, Please help me understand. When kickstarter was open I pledged 72$. That got me all 6 planes and a tshirt (add shipping cost). Now, as I understand, this pledge gets me 3 planes and no tshirt!?

Public inquiry. What is your PC video card?

GTX770 4gb -
saw the announcement on facebook :P doubleclicked the icon on my desktop, got two part update, something like 2.3gb. obvious new stuff: in game rebinding of buttons, makes a rookie life so much easier. sorted the "jungle" when selecting missions/replays for different modules. what else... don't know, dcs updates always make me happy :)

I just recalled, the biggest boost I got in the game experience was getting the TrackIr. I'm sure the benefits are already covered in some other thread/forum so I won't go into detail, but if you hit the framerate/detail you want look into it. This was actually my first upgrade when I was trying to get the most of my original PC.

I started playing this game on q9550, 4gb ram, gtx260 and win7 64, and I was playing BS1, BS2. The settings I used were mostly LOW (30 fps), and I had quite a few slowdowns (10-15 fps) when there was a lot of things in the scene. I have clocked the processor at about 25% and added 4gb ram and gained +5 fps on average. Later I upgraded to gtx560ti and got again around 5 FPS, but raised all the settings to about medium and some high. But again there were slowdowns. Finaly I got i5-3570k (clocked 30%), new mobo and 16gb memory, ssd for win7 and dcs, old gtx560ti. Now I play with most settings on medium and high, very smooth performance and rarely a slowdown. SSD is a big improvement for loading times (no FPS) which is usefull in many ways.

I don't want to sound arrogant but I lack the enthusiasm to develop finesse around something that is not really "IT" (I know it sounded arrogant). I will still play su25t, but I'll rather give more time to Ka50 if it's closer to "IT". The best scenario is that ED pops and update which says "quit nagging it's all fixed" :) Did I mention that regardless of this topic and if it's su25t or ka50, this has to be one of the best game since I can remember!
-
Thanks for that! It was the answer I was hopping for, something to boost my patience :) Surviving in Su25t is a whole different thing than in Ka50, so coupled with broken weapons I was really getting frustrated.

On "my" KA50 shkval doesn't snap. Maybe it snaps with a few pixel tolerance which I cant notice, but on SU25T it's snaps twice the target box size. Are you sure it supposes to snap on a real shkval? I found a thread where they argue differently --> http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=92452 On the other hand, if I point the BS's shkval to a bush it hits a bush. In SU25T I can't hit a bush as authorization always comes after the snap and somehow the shkval should know what to snap to!? Manual authorization without snap makes the weapons do crazy things and never hits. Manual authorization with snap but out of range makes the weapon ride the laser (and whatever TV ammo does :) and makes the most of it's range. The point is the weapon doesn't ride the laser unless target box snapped to target first. In practical situation I would either like to be able to "snap" to target at some longer range around 20km where is my limit of identifying it (usually the one that killed me on a previous run) and shooting it with max range - maybe Kh29T could run that long... ...or, get what I have on KA50, get the missile on a pixel that is lit by the laser regardless of a "snapping" feature .....oooor, tell me that it can't/won't be done, that it's exactly as it's implemented on a real thing or something to start enjoying the game as this is frustrating me :)

Hi all! There is some intro to the questions but you can skip it bellow the line ;) I have a question about shkval operation on SU25T. I couldn't find it on forums or the tube... I've been playing with KA50 for some time and I think I mastered the shkval, meaning, I can scan for threats, have a good hit ration with vikhr's and other fun stuff. Now, I wanted he start it serious with SU25T and was so happy that at least I got this sensor covered from first flight. But something is different. ------------------------------------------------- For all questions these states are true: ground mode ON, shkval ON, laser ON and cool, and lock ON ;) 1. why does the TV box snap to target? (unlike K50's shkval) - if this is modeled what is the logic/algorithm (in layman's terms) 2. when the box is lined with the target but hasn't "snapped" any laser or TV ammo behaves like it's broken 3. it seems that when I make the first pass over a target the box snaps on target at around 12km distance, and on additional passes of the same target it snaps at 20+km? It's possible I haven't tested it enough, around 30-40 missions (1st mission in su25t campaign)..... So why does it perform so differently from KA50 shkval!? Is it my misunderstanding, design, bug, or simply not modeled correctly.

that is exactly what I did after few troubles...
