  1. I don't really see the problem. This option would just give server admins more power over their own server. It's only fair to the admins that they can allow/forbid certain things. Ridiculous statements like "Helios users and Leavu users contribute more to the community than others" (paraphrasing) is laughable. Server hosts also puts a great deal of money and time to host, literally for the sake of the community. You can turn your argument around and say that without this option, Tens of servers will be closing business. That's obviously also a stupid and baseless thing to say... If you don't like the way a server handles things, fly on another one or create your own dedicated server.
  2. I understand and agree! S!
  3. Many thanks for the effort Maverick, flankerator and the 104th. You are and have been doing a great job putting these events together and it's unfortunate that so many people couldn't show (myself included). I cannot speak for the no-shows last week, since that was planned in good time beforehand. Everyone signed up should have made it there. But when shit hits the fan and you/we need to reschedule, as boring as it may be, I think it's better to put the new date a few weeks ahead so everyone at least gets the chance to organize their calendar to make it. When we rescheduled to one week after, it was a lot of us (51st at least) who were already booked for RL stuff. Had it been 1 or 2 weeks more, we would be able to plan for that. I know you want to get the event going asap, but I think "rushing it" will cause these things. This goes for one day format as well. Maybe next time, include a backup date 3-4 weeks after the main one? Just an idea which might not be so thought through. In the end though, even scheduled events will see some % of no-shows I guess. Again, you've done an amazing work for the community. Thanks!
  4. Unfortunate indeed. Many of the 51st pilots will not be able to attend today. After the event was "scheduled" to only Saturday, many of us made other plans for Sunday evening with families and friends. Good luck to all of you today,. Red side, give 'em hell! ;)
  5. Thanks Thamuff.
  6. Swedish for me
  7. Quick update: I just upgrade my system to Windows 10 and the problem persist. :(
  8. Unfortunately not, I wish it was something that simple... :( The fact that 1.2.6 works with the same fonts (and obviously the same windows) seems strange.
  9. I've tried all the suggestions in this thread and those recommended by my squad buddies but none have worked. Reinstalled all windows fonts, checked and repaired DX11, reinstalled and patched DCS and DCS open beta (1.2 works flawlessly, the font problem is only present in 1.5). Tweaked and tested all thinkable combinations in my nvidia graphics drivers (newest version btw)... It feels like the only option left is a reformat of the computer, which I'm reluctant to do as it's no guarantee to success, just a bunch of work.
  10. Thanks! I will check this when I get home!
  11. Any updates on this? Has the problem been reported to the devs?
  12. I installed it from scratch. I copied the input folder only.
  13. Same for me!
  14. Problem remains Here's my screenshot and logs/system... I've tested all options I can come up with, but I'm out of ideas X-man_system.rar Logs.rar
  15. I have the same issue as described above. Unable to give logs at this point.
  16. Sweden has historically used Metric units in the air force (m for alt, km for dist). Not sure what we use nowadays since we've been kreeping closer and closer to NATO.
  17. A big thanks to the 104th for organizing such a great event. As always, it was a pleasure to fly together with you!
  18. Great to see this classic event making a comeback! :)
  19. On this day, 7 years ago, the 51 PVO was declared combat ready. Back then we were flying Flaming Cliffs 1.12 and took part in as many community events and matches as we could. Seven years and several DCS versions later, we're still active in the community, flying both on public servers and in larger events. The list of participated events is long; LOCERF, Black Sea Showdown, Nucleus, Crimean Incident, Maple Flag, OPFOR, Georgian Incident, SATAC, and Joint Warrior to name just a few. We've had a DCS server since 2007 which has been an important part of our organisation. It allows us to operate events and training sessions and also functions as a public server. We try to make fun and interesting missions for the community to fly and we also like to keep detailed flight logs and stats. As a result <51>Case developed a statistics system for our FC1 server which was adopted it for FC2 when it was released. Stats has never been implemented on our DCS World server, until now! This last month we've been testing our DCSW server stats system and we're pleased to announce It's now ready to go fully online. As of March 1st, 2015, 51 PVO is hosting stats for our DCSW server. It's been reset and everyone flying on our server from now on will be able to monitor their flight hours, kills, losses K/D ratios as well as many other variables. Points are awarded to pilots based on the events present in the multiplayer log. All events are attributed to flights, which start with a pilot entering the server and end when he or she exits. During a flight, a pilot can score points from air-to-air and air-to-ground points and double these points by safely returning to a friendly airbase. Bonus points are awarded for air-to-air kills on pilots of the 51st PVO Regiment (those wearing <51> tags) and for ejecting before crashing. Kills on friendly units will be penalized. A detailed account of the scoring system is given at http://www.51st.org/stats/rules.html. The stats pages are separated into air-to-air, air-to-ground and overall pilot categories. Stats for each mission and individual squadrons scores are also calculated. The logs are parsed and uploaded to the stats page at the end of each mission. For questions, comments or suggestions about the stats page, use this thread or the Server Support Desk of our forums. The 51st PVO would like to welcome you to our DSCW server and/or TS3 for some flying! Our website: http://www.51st.org/ Our Stats: http://www.51st.org/stats/ Our TS3: 51st.hopto.org:9987
  20. I'm wondering about the autopilot and trimming. It seems as if the autopilot does not touch the trim. The most obvious situation is in descent or climb. You set your trim and get stable. Then you activate attitude hold. As you descend/climb, your air speed is bound to change. And when you disconnect the autopilot, the aircraft pitches up/down (relatively) violently, as the aircraft returns to the trim setting that was set prior to the autopilot being activated. Is this the intended behavior?
  21. My updater is working after trying 30 times... lol
  22. Thanks everyone for making it such a great fight! Really enjoyed it. S! to UVAF, 104th and the Rest!
  23. Hey Dojo, I'd like to participate on behalf of the 51st PVO Regiment. Our website has been somewhat WIP for a while, but feel free to check us out: http://51st.org/ best regards
