  1. Unfortunately we had some serious issues with the GCI software today. The GCI interface had trouble reading one of the missions and after trying to address the issue once, the server still had issues. We decided to put up an older mission instead. Apologize to all who took their time to show up, but at least we got 2.5 days of problem-free GCI :)
  2. Glad you like it! :D We'll continue tomorrow with more GCI flights!
  3. <51>Dedicated GCI Weekend! The 51 PVO will host a GCI weekend on our dedicated server. Everyone is invited to join the fun. Weekend, February 18th-20th We will try our best to provide GCI personal at all times during the weekend, but the official start time is 1800z on Friday. Using the LotATC3 software, controllers will be able to direct flights/aircraft to the battle area and provide increased SA to participating pilots. Everyone who joins our Teamspeak to fly the event will be given a flight callsign and a specific TS channel in order to keep the Communication organized. Anyone who doesn't want to fly with GCI support is free to join the server as usual, but we encourage everyone to join as it's much more fun :D Our controllers will be using English and will not provide GCI in any other language. Cheers all and see you this weekend! :D  51st Teamspeak3: 51st.hopto.org:9987 51st Dedicated: 212.37.145.18
  4. Mission and rulebook updated slightly. Section 1.3.3 and 1.3.5 :) @wangfei: The rule is there to help SARH platforms (Su-27) against ARH ones. Not that it's a major restriction anyway, F-15s can still load up 6 x 120C and MiGs can load up 4 x R-77 :) Cheers
  5. There's still time and slots :) Keep trying ;)
  6. It will be :)
  7. The matches in the event has been changed from 4vs4 to 6vs6. :) Cheers
  8. Alt+Tab is not working for me either :noexpression:
  9. Guys, I want application on PM as stated in the initial post!
  10. Crunch, this is FC2 ;) Here's an example of how to kill a SA19. Remember, ECM will shorten the launch range for the SAM, so you can get closer in while using it. I suggest taking AGM65Ds as these can lock up targets from longer range. A10 vs SA19.trk
  11. SATAC – Squadron Air-To-Air Championship Lockon has had a lot of great community events. LOCERF, BSS, CI, CWE, OPFOR to name a few. These events aim at having a realistic environment and none of them catch a real competitive feel on a squad-to-squad level as you are involved in large coalition. SATAC is not aimed at being very realistic, all flights will be flown in a very 'clean' environment (no SAM). The focus will be on coordination, pilot skills and, of course, winning. There are 3 stages of the tournament, Group Stage, Semifinals and Finals. Each round must be completed within a specific time period. This means Squads can decided between them and their opponent when they should fly within this time period. Example: Squad A vs Squad B in semifinals. Squad A cannot fly on 1st, so they talk to Squad B and decide to fly on the 3rd at 1234 GMT. For the next match, Squad C and Squad D can both fly on the 1st, so they set up their match on the 1st accordingly. TIME OF EVENT: SATAC will take place over 17 days: POSTPONED 1st-15th: Group Stage 16th: Semifinals 17th: Third-place/Finals If you intend to apply for a slot, you must read through the rulebook (see below). Each team should consist of at least 6 pilots, but preferably 8-10 in order to have reserves (pilots can rotate in the match so everyone gets to fly). One squad can post several teams, but pilots may not jump between teams. TO APPLY: PM me with your Squad's name, how many teams and name of the pilots that will join. (CLOSED) APLICATION DEADLINE: I'll take applications until March 5th OR until 16 teams have been signed up. (CLOSED) Squads: 51st (10 pilots) UVAF Team 1 (12 Pilots) UVAF Team 2 (11 Pilots) RvAF (11 Pilots) NFI (11 Pilots) CNAF*HJ (6 Pilots) CNAF*FC (7 Pilots) CNAF*FB (6 Pilots) =4C= (10 pilots) TAG Alpha (11 Pilots) Rulebook: http://www.51st.org/vault/SATAC/SATAC%20-%20Rulebook_v3.pdf Mission (V2): http://www.51st.org/vault/SATAC/SATAC_v3.rar Teams have been drawn randomly into the two Groups presented below. Teams are encouraged to start organizing their matches. Each team must face all of their opponents in the same group at least once.
  12. No, the thread title says mentions only medicinal herbs. This title is in itself misleading as the EU directive is not about banning any herbs.
  13. Like GG said, none of those products you mention are being marketed as medicine/ having healing effect. In fact, all those products are being marketed for what they are. You just failed at doing it "properly"
  14. Again with this personal stuff, it doesn't prove a thing...
  15. Yeah, but do you seriously believe everyone have the time/capacity to read through scientific studies on everything they do in daily life? One should be able to trust the marketing of a product, and when it says it does something, it better do that. It's not fair to let people buy expensive products which basically doesn't do anything. Nothing to do with democracy, just simple ethics. No, it's by allowing such a bill, consumers can know that what they buy have actually some effects, as proven in studies.
  16. Sorry guys, but these "I have tried it and it works" testimonies doesn't mean sh*# unfortunately. There is a thing called Placebo, and unless you have done a full, double-blind study with control groups, you cant make any conclusions out of it. Certain alternative medicine might or might not work, and his is what the EU wants to clear up. If you market a product and claim it can be used as treatment for a disease, you should prove it beyond rumors or testimonies from individuals. Let me just ask this, what is it that drive companies that work with alternative medicine? Is it not the same profit as with the big pharmaceutical companies? In fact the only difference is that one of them have to prove with very costly methods that their stuff works, while the other side can just market whatever sh*# they want and say it works. And the ones getting hurt by this is the weak (sick and poor) people who waste money on methods that in the end might not work, instead of going to a real doctor for a real treatment.
  17. +1 Pharmaceutical companies might be evil, but it's the drive for profit that assures us that their stuff work. They are only interested in developing stuff which passes the standards which are set. So it's only right that these traditional herbal products is put up to the same standard!
  18. Win7/64
  19. Congratulations Vex!
  20. Happy New Year!!! All the best to everyone! :) Cya in 2011!
  21. I totally agree on the loading times. Also the way the menus are set up, makes loading times worse IMO. And I have installed it btw ;) I like the game though, and the overall feeling and physics are good. I just expected a little more after 5yrs of development. :music_whistling:
  22. :D
